someone remind me to keep my expectations low. I’m trying not to read too much into photos
Keep your expectations low…but forget the fact that I’m doing the same thing you are and also wondering about the sudden change in coworkers coinciding a bit with the anniversary of my favorite episode of the series. Hmmmm, there’s probably nothing to it but it does make you think! Let’s just hold on tight and hope for a not quite as bumpy as it might sound ride.
God bless JMo for posting that photo today! I needed a pick me up and seeing MRJ (and Emilie for that matter) in the background of a pic that finally doesn’t include Hook made my whole day. Thank you Jen!!
I need pretty things…I’m going on a SwanFire hunt when I get home from work later. 😉

And can I just say how envious I am that you started watching Terriers today?! I’ve been wanting to do that myself for a while and now that it’s on Netflix I need to get cracking and start watching ASAP. *makes mental note* 😉
#MoreBOOMLessGloomSo I came up with some random SwanFire thoughts this morning but because I was busy most of the day, I’m only just now getting here to type them all out. Bare with me if I start to ramble and not make much sense because this has been building up since this morning, LOL 😆
Anyway, at church today we were talking about love and one of the big questions that was asked was, “How do you know that you’re loved?” They ran this adorable video of some kids trying to answer questions about love (one kid said that when you love someone you do this thing that he’ll spell out for us…K I S S….and then he proceeded to crack up for the rest of the interview, LOL) and then the congregation was asked that other question so a few people answered by talking about the actions that people sometimes take to show that they love someone. They weren’t always fancy things, one lady said her hubby goes out and starts her car for her on cold days, but they were things from the heart and they mattered to the other person. It was during this moment that my thoughts went to SwanFire and how many of Neal actions seem to have shown how much he still loves her without having to say anything. Here’s a few of the ones I came up with and feel free to add more! 😉
Neal:
*Came back to protect her from his father’s anger after finding out about her deal with Rumple knowing she was going to break it for him
*Dropped everything and came to Storybrooke with them to not only save his father’s life but to be there for Henry
*Offered to take Henry to NYC for a while so Emma wouldn’t have to worry about him with Cora and Hook running around Storybrooke
*Spent time with Henry without being asked by Emma
*Tried not to hurt Emma by keeping quiet about Tamara until he absolutely had to tell Emma about her (and was pretty considerate about Emma’s feelings while they were all in Storybrooke IMO)
*Had Emma’s back when they were in the cannery even though he didn’t believe that Tamara was bad at the time
*Saved her from falling into the portal when she was hanging on the pipe
*Let go of her hand and feel through that same portal just to make sure Henry didn’t lose both of them
*Used magic to locate Emma in Neverland so he could help her save Henry even though he hates what magic does to people
*Jumped out the window to ride the shadow into Neverland…a place that wasn’t pleasant for him after spending hundreds of years there when he was younger
*Worked with his father to beat Pan and save Henry first before going to find Emma (put their child first because he knew Emma would be doing the same thing)
*Didn’t judge or get angry over Emma’s Echo Cave confession…instead we got the Epic Hug and his promise to always fight for her
*Made sure Rumple wouldn’t make the Charmings or Emma owe Rumple anything for the elixir that cured David’s illness
*Prevented Rumple from keeping Pandora’s Box until absolutely necessary to protect everyone from him
*Went to the Dark Hallow to help capture the shadow and after acting like a 12 year old boy with Hook over a lighter, was the only one of the two to apologize to Emma and agree that Henry needed to come first
*Rowed the others to the island to confront Pan (SwanFireRegalStiltskin family for the win!)
*Rushed over to help Emma when the barrier threw her backwards
*Helped set off the canon with Emma so the shadow would take them all home
*Didn’t pressure Emma into it but offered up a time together for them to talk with one another and said that if she didn’t want to meet him, he would quit bugging her (stupid fairy ‘death’…:()
*Gave Emma & Henry hope before they left town while everyone else was saying goodbye (and held in his own pain in so they wouldn’t see it)I’ve probably missed a few things but that’s an awful lot of actions Neal has done to help Emma since she came back into his life so that sure seems like an awful lot of love to me or at least a man who is worthy of and deserving of a second chance. 🙂

*le sigh* SERIOUSLY. That scene remains my all time favorite adorable moment for SwanFire! And maybe it’s just my romantic to the core heart talking here but I feel like nuzzling someone on the nose the way they do here is SUCH a precious and intimate moment between two people. You’re being intimate but not in a sexual or physical way…you’re being romantic without being overly suggestive. It’s just two people who obviously adore each other sharing a quiet moment of hope that their future together is still possible. It’s just beautiful. *sigh* 🙂

Random: I found several of you guys on Twitter this weekend and it makes my heart very happy because I now have even more SwanFire friends in my Twitter feed! Strength in numbers everyone!!!! 😀
I tweeted my thanks to Matt for acknowledging Neal as a member of the OUAT cast well tonight because I want to make sure he knows how much we appreciate it. I’ve gotten responses from him before so it wouldn’t surprise me to see him say something about the positive Neal press in a tweet at some point tomorrow. He’s always been pretty fair in his OUAT reporting and reviewing which is fantastic because he’s practically the only media person who does that. He’s also my fave for providing one of the few MRJ solo interviews that we got last year. I am so bummed that we won’t have a Paleyfest session this year with the cast, creaters, and him as moderator because they are always so much fun. 🙁
I love all the happiness that’s been posted here this weekend! Not just the random spoiler stuff but the happy photos, videos, and general positive writing have all lifted my spirits. It’s hard being a SwanFire fan in general but I feel like we could be having some really great stuff coming up in the second half of the season and I’m excited about that possibility. So thankful to have the Olympics and spring training to help me get through this hiatus because I really need the distractions right now! 😮

Emma & Neal tied for number 1 for me!! Hook, Tamara, and the Blue Fairy were all pretty low on my list too so I guess it is pretty accurate. 😉
