General announcement from yours truly. As you guys probably noticed the CSF thread was recently opened again and conversations happened. They were actually going ok but I think most of us know that they weren’t going to stay that way. I tried very hard to stay out of it in general because that thread was my waking nightmare (major thank to Phee for listening to me scream). I went to do a check on the CS thread for spoilers and such and saw that there were quite a few : “RG if you read this, just get rid of that thread!!” I had a talk with Daniel and after hearing what I had to say about the continued mental well being of this community he agreed that I could send the THREAD OF DOOM to the dark abyss of Nevermore. It’s gone. For good. Ain’t coming back. I said this to the CSers too but I think we should all collectively agree never to try that again. And not cause we aren’t lovely people who don’t have very legit reasons and rationalizations for why we ship what we ship but cause it just isn’t going to work. I love that we tried. I really do; it shows that we can rise above petty shipping wars and actually TRY to listen to each other. But…let’s not try again. Yeah? Love you all. *cookies*

I went in that thread earlier today wondering what was being talked about and I left almost immediately afterward because I was uncomfortable so I can’t even imagine how you stayed in there as a moderator. I totally respect that decision and I agree that while the thread had good intentions, it was probably never going to stay sane just due to the passion behind both groups. Good on you guys for trying though! 🙂

If they did erase her whole character growth over the past 2.5 years, not even from a ship perspective, I would be livid, to the point where I would seriously consider my future with this show. I hate memory loss for the sake of erasing a character and starting fresh.

I hope you’re right but in this day and age of social media, network pressure, and immediate reactions they can now get from their shows, my fear is they start trying to please the crowds too much (which IMO, they’re all ready doing by dumbing down Hook and making his character a fake hero) and erase some of the more important things from the show’s history in order to go a different way. I don’t think Adam & Eddy would do something like that but I agree with you; if something like that did happen, I’d have serious reservations about watching anymore because it’s a total cop out and complete fan service and shows CANNOT survive by doing stuff like that. This hiatus is going to drive me crazy because this is the type of stuff I worry about because I’ve seen it happen to other shows and I want OUAT to remain A&E’s story with THEIR OWN interpretation of things and not all those outside influences. *cue me the worrywart*  /end rant

She WILL remember that eventually though! Have faith. I refuse to believe that they’re going to erase that entire part of her history somehow and that all the growth that Emma has had as a character in the last 2.5 years is going to be washed away. She WILL remember what she did and what he did FOR her, and it will be an important realization between her and Neal when they finally get to talk about their past and hope for their future. I will be LIVID if it happens any other way because it would be a total cop out and while they do tend to forget some things, this is something way too big to brush under the couch. Don’t let me down writers!!

It’s not over until the fat lady sings and to quote Will Smith’s character in Independence Day (one of my all time fave movies): “I ain’t heard no fat lady!!!!” 😉

lisas – OMG, I love that song so much. Someone last year made a video to that song for my other OTP Dawson & Casey on Chicago Fire (another ship of mine that’s barely sailing right now but only for the fact that they ended their winter finale with him in emergency surgery after a head trauma during a rescue :() and it really fits for Emma & Neal too.

Another song I like for SwanFire that we actually talked briefly about in chat last night is “When You Say Nothing at All” by Allison Krauss. I would love to see someone make a SF video to this song sometime and I might need to hit up Katie about this one because I think she’d knock it out of the park. 😉

BTW-After posting that I wasn’t going to let anything get me down today, I stupidly went to TV Fanatic because I was curious if anyone responded to my post there, and two tools basically called me stupid for thinking that SF had any chance since ‘clearly the show is setting up CS as endgame’ and that I was ‘setting myself up for disappointment’. It took all my strength not to post anything back to either of them, especially to point out that S3 Hook is a weenie and not at all like S2 Hook who they totally disregarded in their posts to me, and point out all my other reasons for having hope. We’ll see who’s disappointed when it’s all said and done and I still believe it won’t be me. 🙂

Good morning! I hope everyone is doing well and that we find more pretty things throughout the day! 🙂

Today, I’m choosing to not let anything get me down, especially anything related to the Triangle of Doom, because it’s only one week until Christmas which is a BIG TIME season full of hope, faith, love, and giving for me, and I really need to focus more on good things to get my mind off the mind frack that the Sneaky Writers have done to my brain. 😉

Wish I had more pretty things to add here tonight but all I’ve got for you guys is this random tidbit: When you’re frustrated about things, like this fandom going to pieces during a long hiatus or CS mania taking over half the internet, hitting the snot out of a volleyball for an hour (which I got to do tonight) is an AMAZING form of therapy. 😉

RG-I don’t know how you still have your sanity as a mod here because you have to go read through all the other threads no matter what but we get to hide out in here when we feel like we need to huddle up with cocoa and cookies. Have things been really bad since Sunday? This board is actually one of the saner ones that I’ve seen and it’s why I come here so much. I haven’t gotten to read much else here today though and after the TV Fanatic thing I’ve avoided all the other boards. BIG MRJ HUGS TO YOU!!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
