TV Line is doing their 2014 Wish List request right now (link to send something to them and hey, sending them a note wishing for more SwanFire might get one of us posted in their article when they write it: http://tvline.com/2013/12/09/tv-wish-list-2014-casting-pilots-renewals/) and I literally just sent them my email. For OUAT, I hoped that Neal & Emma would finally get some time alone to talk without all the distractions around them and that they need to explain more about their past because “too much is still left unsaid and it’s bothering a lot of people (not just me)”. I was actually quoted in their Thanksgiving fan round up of things we’re thankful for this year so maybe I’ll get picked again for my quirky OUAT SwanFire comment! 😉

I’ll say this here because it’s safer than saying it anywhere else, but unless they do some serious redemption to Hook’s character (and do it very soon), I don’t think he’s going to last beyond S3 because he literally has no purpose on the show right now other than to be one part of the Triangle of Doom and I fear for Adam & Eddy’s lives if something bad ends up happening to him later this season. They could literally take him off the show right now though and the show would still keep going just fine because he’s become that insignificant to the overall story. I would hate for the Hook fans to have to deal with something like that but seriously, what else does he have to do now but pursue Emma?

Argh, earlier today I couldn’t stay logged in to post anything here which was beyond frustrating but YAY, it all seems fixed now! Weird bug on the site today and I seriously thought someone was pulling a prank on me since this was the one thread I wanted to post in and I couldn’t until now! LOL 😆

Of course, anything I wanted to add to this thread earlier has now been talked about by everyone else (yay for all your great posts!) but I’m glad to know that some of the vibes and things I picked up or thought about last night’s episode were shared by not only you guys but some other folks online too. I actually stopped reading comments for most of the OUAT online reviews because the people were annoying but I saw a few last night that expressed sadness for Emma & Neal not getting their chance to talk so maybe the tide is changing and the Neal hate is going to die down. I can hope, right?! 😀

BTW-Some CS person butted into my conversation with someone else on Twitter tonight and said that they thought CS was endgame because of the long time they’ve spent setting it up. I wasn’t about to argue with her over it but I did point out that if she doesn’t see that there’s also a set up for SF, then I don’t think we’re watching the same show. Oy vey….the Triangle of Doom has GOT to go. 🙁

A shippy response. Back in 305 Hook calls Emma “Savior.” He uses it instead of her name and in fact he rarely uses her first name at all–it’s always Swan, the Lady Swan, Savior, ect. . But she doesn’t want to be seen as just the savior or anything else. She just wants to be Emma. And Neal has always seen her as just that–Emma. His Emma. He doesn’t care if she’s the savior or an investment banker. She’s just Emma.

Yeah, it was shippy 😉 but the point still stands. Neal loved her when she had nothing and was a nobody without a family…she loved him when he was also a nobody with no family and the only things he could offer her were a stolen key chain and a car roof over her head. I think that at our deepest core, everyone wants to be loved for who they are deep inside and not for superficial or temporary reasons such as finances, status, or their family situations. When they each had nothing to offer the other one, they still found happiness together and I just think when you break it all down, SF makes the most sense and that’s what Emma has to get back to at some point. The distractions of real life are overwhelming her right now but someday she’ll be ready to stop and see things simply again. I hope anyway!

I’m going down with this ship too. NO WAY are things over between Emma & Neal and I am still of the mindset that CS is going to happen first because of Emma being afraid. Being with Hook is easy, she doesn’t have to face any of her past with him, but being with Neal requires her to overcome her past hurts, pains, and heartaches and she is not ready to do that yet. I think she’s getting there though and if CS helps Emma see what she really wants *cough Neal cough*, then let’s go with it and get Emma to that place where she can face her fears and move forward to find something happy in her life.

Oy vey….no matter what happens with this new curse, I have a feeling I’m going to hate it with a passion. I don’t like everyone being separated/losing memories/being apart again and if that’s what happens, I’m going to be extremely bummed out and very upset. I feel like that’s been done all ready so there has to be a hitch to this somehow. If everyone loses memories/gets separated again due to a new curse, I’m not going to have a good night next weekend. 🙁

BTW-I loved the Daddy Charming moments tonight too and I really hope Emma takes his advice. It was fascinating seeing how Snow’s past came right around to Emma’s present in waiting for the bad stuff to happen and forgetting to enjoy the good stuff. I hope Emma finds happiness someday but I worry the writers are never going to let that happen or we won’t see it until the very end of the show. 🙁

I feel blue tonight. Which reminds me….off to the episode area with me! I need theories on the Blue death and I know you guys have some here!

Hmm, I’m realizing now why Hook is starting to get on my nerves…he reminds me of this one guy I used to work with when I was a teenager. We worked at a fast food place for a while together and he always said things in certain ways and acted very much like Hook at times. I knew that he liked me but I was never interested in him (for one, he was way older than me) and kept shooting him down. He kept asking and asking and finally gave up after I really told him I was not interested in him. He made me feel so uncomfortable at times and that’s how Hook is making me feel now. Smarmy and dirty are the only words I have to describe it and I am having a hard time with this now. If you want to make him evil or bad, go for it, but then stop having this Triangle of Doom with Emma because she deserves WAY better than to be some conquest for a smarmy pirate. 🙁

/end rant (sorry for the personal issue there but I couldn’t handle it anymore)

I don’t think Neal was being pushy. I think he honestly didn’t know how to approach things with her. He originally just wanted them to talk, just the two of them, and when she didn’t know how to react to that he brought up just sitting together and having lunch. Emma never looked annoyed with him or anything and she even gave him a little smile so I think she just wasn’t prepared to have him want to talk about things this soon. A lot of time has passed but Neal has also been waiting for a long time just to see her again much less talk to her so I can see him being nervous and unsure of himself.

My heart actually broke for both of them tonight. Seeing his face while he was sitting alone in the diner (OMG, I was in tears and am about to cry again) and then seeing Emma with her dad being totally unsure of what to do. She WANTS to believe Neal and spend time with him but she’s understandably scared about it too. She was totally going to have lunch with him and at least talk but that darn Pan….dang I hate him even more now. Emma saying that because she’s the savior that she thinks she’ll never have any happiness or a life away from it totally killed me. No wonder she’s scared to talk to Neal. She just figures something will happen again to tear them apart and she’ll lost him all over again. I hate seeing everyone hurting so much right now. (((SwanFire)))

Personally, I don’t think the order of relationships matters on this show. They don’t seem to do things by the book, so to speak, so I’m not too worried about the Triangle of Doom and who comes first. I honestly don’t think SF is actually going to COME first right now. This new curse thing is going to throw everything out of whack and I don’t think anything is going to come of SF due to the new threat (and partially Emma not showing for lunch; I agree that Neal really needs to know why she didn’t show up but I fear he won’t know that for a while). I think CS stuff is going to happen first after all and it’s what will help Emma realize that she does want to work things out with Neal and she’ll eventually come to him ready to talk things out.

I’m done with Hook too. Backing off and then using trickery anyway? Not a fan of that and I hate ANY guy who pulls that crap. I don’t care if you’re a hottie. Saying you’re going to ‘win’ Emma without pulling any mind games and then doing the exact OPPOSITE of that is NOT COOL in my book either. He and Tink have a great chemistry together, I thought that since early in the season, so they need to do something there for sure. Get him out of Emma’s life because he’s going to hurt her and I don’t want to see that happen. 🙁

Tonight’s episode was pretty good overall (Jared did a great Pan tonight! So impressed with him and Robbie was a great Henry too) but this new curse thing totally spoiled any enjoyment I have with this show. Separating everyone again? People forgetting who they are again? No way to break a new curse? Not a fan. If the entire second half the season is all about everyone trying to figure their identities out all over again I might be done with this show. They better have something else in mind because I am NOT happy right now. 🙁
