Heather I can accept Neal death if the reason was true to the story. Will I be sad, will I miss him yes. But its not that Neal died its why Neal died. But you don’t set up a character on getting a second chance to only deny it to him. Like I said Neal dieing in season 2 was far more acceptable. Neal dieing in season 3 was a load of hogwash.
Okay, yes. That’s true. His death in S2 would have come across as much more realistic not this bologna we got in 315
Yeah, I would have accepted that scenario much easier than the crap we got in S3B. 🙁

These days I do not obsess over it as much as I used to, but you cannot deny that Emma and Neal’s relationship was a heart-wrenching, emotional and meant-to-be. Had the writers not chosen to go down the path of fanservice and ‘only pleasing the majority’, I believe that Swanfire family moments would have been a lovely and heartwarming thing to see on our screens. Honestly, what endears me is the fact that these two were lost souls who fell in love. When they met, they were not perfect people. They were flawed and scarred. They were young and carefree to an extent. But they were in love. The way Emma smiled widely from ear to ear in the Tallahassee flashbacks like we’d never seen her smile before as her 28 year old self, they way the Neal’s dimples and cheeky grin outshone his dark past and his sad stories, the way Neal looked so nervous as he quietly waited for Emma’s reaction to his gift (the keychain), the way Emma looked completely comfortable and at home with Neal as she plonked down onto the motel room bed before examining the day’s haul; these are all the little things that make me all the more interested in Swanfire. I believe that more viewers can relate to Emma and Neal’s relationship because it is realistic. If their relationship had worked out (which it should have, but unfortunately did not), it would have symbolised that not only fairy tale characters get happy endings, but real people do as well. It symbolises hope and second chances. Adult Emma and Neal were absolutely amazing. My heart was ripped to shreds and then put back together again but soon bulldozed over every episode after Manhattan. The combination of angst and drama created this great atmosphere that made me want to cry half the time. The fact that they not only had their own feelings to consider, but now their son’s also, lifted the ship up to an entirely new dimension.. The way Neal would do anything for Emma and the way Emma was insecure about having her heartbroken again. The way Neal was never demanding or pushy about his feelings and the way Emma kept him at a safe distance but also genuinely cared about him, even when she was afraid of loving him. I think, if these areas of their relationship were explored into, it would have made way for an incredible love story that would actually have ended happily. To me, swanfire is a whole range of different colours. Sometimes i think of green, for portals, or Emma’s eyes. Maybe it’s brown, for young Baelfire’s clothes and his eyes. Sometimes it’s a yellow Volkswagen. Often it’s a dark blue or grey, just symbolising the mood or Neal’s clothes. Light blue for Neal’s shirt in Neverland, dark brown for the infamous coconut. Black for Emma’s sweater/ top, silver for Baelfire’s sword that Hook then gave to Emma. All these tinges and taints and touches and tones add up to create this amazing ship (or is it a submarine? Maybe even a rowboat?) I really do wish that Swanfire would have been endgame, however I am so happy to be part of this ship. The amazing fanart I see and the gorgeous fans and fellow shippers i admire make even the sad ending of Neal’s death bearable and worthwhile. LONG LIVE THE SWANFIRE SHIP

That was beautiful and though I don’t agree that Neal’s death is bearable (I don’t think I’ll ever stop being highly annoyed by that dreadful decision), I wouldn’t trade being part of the SwanFire ship for anything. The people I’ve met through it, the fanfic stories I’ve read, the amazing art I’ve seen, the awesome friends I have, and the beauty, heartbreak, and hope that was their story are all things I treasure a great deal and will never forget no matter how much the trolls try to rewrite history. SwanFire was endgame right from the start and no amount of rewriting and fan service bull crap will ever change my opinion. Long live SwanFire! <3

We all stopped watching the same show a long time ago. Specifically after Tallahassee aired.
That is a true statement but you know what, even with how sad and unfair it ended, I still prefer the show we watched for the last two years over the one that others seem to think has happened which is like bad fan-fic written by someone high out of their mind on the hardest crack in the world. 😮

Actual spam from spam bots. We had like 10000 of them or something. They annoy the living daylights out of me, but Daniel is getting rid of them. Pics and fluff will never be considered spam. Only spam bots with names like Avfw35tyfs are marked down by me or Daniel as evil and annoying. Never real posters.

#MoreBOOMLessGloomNo, we’ve definitely lost pages. Only a few days ago we had something like 1643 pages. I know this because I never close the thread tab in my browser, I just reopen it from the last page we were at the night before and for the last few days I wake up in the morning and have to backtrack significantly to find out what the “new” last page is. I’m surprised that we’ve been hit with that much spam recently. I’m not sure if other threads have been hit with the same volume of spam (because I go no where else in the forum for my own sanity), but it’s kind of crazy. I shouldn’t be surprised though, considering how often this seems to happen.
We have. It’s the aggressive spam removal in play. Our thread was hit pretty hard with spam so we lost about 30+ pages over night. You’re not going mad, my dear.

#MoreBOOMLessGloomOkay, I guess I’m not really making my case about never turning stuff dirty. Sorry, but fluffing just can be used without giggles. Lauren, those are the best graham walls. Very tasty when combined with milk. If you put peanut butter and marshmallow cream on graham crackers do you get a fluffer-nutter graham sandwich? Maybe they’re Emma’s favorite snack.
