Hey guys!!

I got home from vacation today but I’m totally exhausted from all the travelling and craziness of my week so I can’t post too much. Just wanted to say HI and that I missed chatting with you guys this week even though my trip was awesome! I’ll be on the ranch tomorrow night so I look forward to catching up with you guys! 🙂

Hi from Canada guys! Sorry I haven’t been able to check in but we’re running on weird hours during this vacation and I keep getting on our hotel wifi too late. Hope you’re all doing well! I’m having a fabulous time so far (Canada’s Wonderland is awesome) although we had to fight some weather issues today. Gotta love getting a text from a friend warning you about “volatile weather” in our area after we had all ready gotten drenched while in line and were then hiding in the Leviathan coaster station trying to get dry and warm, LOL 😉

I know there’s a time difference here between AH and MRJ (Vancouver vs Romania) but hope Mikey never answers him. Yes, I know that sounds childish and petty but seriously, Adam has some nerve to randomly tweet MRJ when he never bothered to talk to him any other time in the last few months. AH may be the most dense and clueless person ever.

“I would say that if you’re telling a real story … and you think about any classical story it’s like the ending will have both triumph and tragedy in it. You know what I mean? Like I think if you’re just telling a story that just has a sad ending, then well that’s a bummer. At the same time if it is just happy then it really feels like the story doesn’t have any weight or consequence. And so I think that it’s always got to be a mixture of those two.” This is a quote from the creator /head writer of Burn Notice. Isn’t it funny how Neal’s death is more or less resolved by the season’s end, done in a way to minimize all the tragedy of it? Emma gets a “go move on”, Hook gets told effectively “We’re cool, you changed dude!”, Rumple “You were an awesome dad!” and to Henry “Hey, I died a hero, ’nuff said.” It’s not like we see these characters moving in ways they wouldn’t have but for that death. It’s hard to tell with Rumple, but if Neal’s death sort of undid his “reform”–as evidenced by the lie and killing Zelena–it might have some weight but I’m not sure yet that the writers would actually write a ripple effect. I’m think it will be rug swept just like everything else. This just has been a pattern so it is what I expect. As for Emma, well it removed conflict from the story to take Neal out of the equation. Same with Regina, dealing with one less co-parent, and one against dark magic to boot. Hook of course never had much of a relationship on screen with Neal but well, one less problem without him there. In the finale, a lot of problems are just wrapped up zippity-doo-dah–not a single monkey we knew got killed! Wouldn’t that have added some weight to find out they killed Aurora when getting trigger happy? It’s just the tonal shift in this story from “huge consequence and tragedy” to “come on no one really gets hurt, its Disney” that was so flipping off, combined with all the things we DO know about BTS stuff, that just do not add up. Of all the narrators for 3b, how’d they pick Dan Stevens, the guy who gained notoriety for quitting the popular Dowton Abbey despite his character just having gotten married? Why did the twitter account not follow MRJ, then when called on it start to follow him only to drop him the INSTANT the death thing went down? Why release the Season 3A cast photo with him photoshopped out (why not just do the 3B that didn’t include him!?). How come that account didn’t’ wish him a Happy Birthday, but did the other cast members who had them around that time in December? Then there was that Postergate, with the Second Chances thing being released, then not confirmed, then being issued anyway. Oh, and how the twitter account was quick to assure fans it wasn’t official–but didn’t respond to those asking where the real one was. There are of course more things, but ultimately it comes to this: Neal /MRJ was not treated the same way in S3 as he had been in S2–nor were fans of his treated the same way. I remember those podcasts where fans called in asking about Neal and Emma, and got assurances to “keep their hope”–and then there was that day Adam told people not to hope, and went weird on twitter replying “Handsome” to everything. Anyway just a few random odd thoughts in a spare moment.

The whole entire situation reeks of them trying to hide something big. I still think the network wanted MRJ gone for whatever reason (probably because they latched onto the annoyance otherwise known as Hook) and started working him out of publicity while they were also working on and eventually convincing the two trolls to write him off all together. Everything about this show changed in S3 but weirdly for me, it didn’t really start changing until they were working more on 3B. In 3A they were all still joking around and having fun but it seems like after they filmed 3×15 (or somewhere close to that time), it all stopped and the cast barely tweeted anything for months even while the show was airing. They all just shut down from social media and for the record, I still think it was the rudest thing in the world for most of them to not wish MRJ well after he was written off. But, that said, if a cast member on an ensemble show, who by all accounts seemed to be well liked by everyone in the cast and crew, were suddenly let go for no good reason (bold storytelling my backside), I think that would create a lot of tension and stress which could be why they all shut up for fear of saying something that would get them canned next. Months later, we now have Bobby and Emilie who can barely talk about anything that happened last season (man, some of those GIFs of them talking from SDCC are SO telling), Josh trying to be the picture guy again and make it look like everything is honky dory, JMo becoming a massive tool saying crap about Neal that isn’t even true and overhyping CS to the point that I want to smack her (and this is coming from probably the biggest JMo fan in this thread), Jared barely saying anything at all, Lana being overly perky about random things, and Colin saying stuff that he might think is true but isn’t what we saw on screen. Count me as another who would LOVE to hear what’s really going on behind the scenes and what was actually supposed to happen on screen if the network hadn’t intervened and had them change things. 🙁 #conspiracy

Heather, you lucky girl! Another vacation. You’re social calendar makes me dizzy and tired just hearing about your exciting trips. I think Text should be required to write a story about her true life temporary friends/housemates. THAT is the story I want to hear.

HAHA, it’s not normally this crazy! 😉 My friend and I usually go on this upcoming trip in a much smaller version every summer (we always go to Cedar Point) but we added more to it this year to make it a full week. This is probably my first actual week long vacation in years! Usually it’s something related to skating or baseball or volunteering with youth group but this time it’s just to relax, scream a lot on the rides, and to enjoy visiting a different place. Hopefully the week won’t go by too fast, LOL 😮

Watching all the SDCC OUAT coverage is like: OUAT is like a friend you had growing up. You were the best of friends and did everything together. Things were awesome. Then one day they decided they didn’t want to be your friend anymore. No explanation, just friendship over. Now they’re off with their new friends, with the popular crowd, and you’re left behind. Now you see them from across the lunch room and remember how things were. You can’t help but wish that you could go back in time, back when everything was better. Sometimes they give you looks like they miss you, but then they’ll laugh with the rest of them when someone makes fun of you. Even if they wanted to be friends again it wouldn’t be the same. You just wish you could go back in time…

X And yes, I have had some terrible friends in my life. I would post snippets of either of the fics I’m working on, but they’re both pretty sad, and people probably don’t want to be sad.

This is by far the most accurate description of how I feel about this show right now and I too have had some not so great friends in my life. I’m SO glad we all have each other through this insanity! *HUGS* 🙂

“Neal will live on in flashbacks and in our hearts. Death may be a terrible thing but it doesn’t mean it’s the last time you see someone.” And that was the end of my participation in this years panel. I just made a very rude noise at my computer and was like “done”

Um, actually that does mean it’s the last time you see someone. Dead is dead with Neal, right? Everyone else gets to come back but not him so no, they won’t be seeing him again unless they’re coming back to life somehow (or they’re killing off someone else to meet up with him in the afterlife) and honestly, I want MRJ to stay far away from any of this crap as humanly possible now. All the retconning, double talk, random OOC crap they’re just making up on the fly, and now changing the very CORE of the show reeks of them not having the slightest idea what they’re doing anymore with this overall story. MRJ deserves way better than that and quite frankly, this entire cast actually deserves better than that. (Preach to all the things you guys have been saying in here today)

Ohhhhhh RG…I have a story about that tweet. I pointed out to that person the other day that Blue actually gave that bean to Dylan and not MRJ and the tooly person wrote me back and said that Mikey was now dead on the show but Dylan wasn’t (and had the nerve to put an ‘lol’ in her tweet), so I’ve been FIGHTING the urge to tweet in bold letters, “THEY PLAY THE SAME FREAKING CHARACTER SO BOTH ARE NOW DEAD YOU TWIT”. Instead I politely reminded the twit that they are both gone now since they play the same character. Why do people not understand this concept????! *flips a table and bangs head on a wall* 😮
