I agree that this show has jumped the shark (or an entire lagoon as RG stated so eloquently) but my point of where that happened is probably slightly different from others in this thread.
I’ve always thought of the term ‘jumping the shark’ as one HIGHLY significant event that changes the fabric of the show to where repairing it is nearly impossible. OUAT managed to do that in one long scene for me from season 3B: when Snow cast the Dark Curse and Regina split Snow’s heart to save Charming. My reasoning for this being the shark point? It changed canon history of the show. They established rules VERY early on in this series of how magic worked and they totally changed two rules in the course of one event for me. The Dark Curse was supposed to be from the darkest magic in all the realms and casting that curse was supposed to give you a hole in your heart that cannot be filled (“all magic comes with a price”) among other prices you pay for casting it. We saw this happen with Regina in S1. Snow has never paid a single price for casting that curse though because somehow yet another loophole was found for the Dark Curse in that Snow’s heart was split in two so she and Charming could share one making him come back to life. So not only does she not pay a price for casting the curse, her love gets to live because of that random loophole that was thrown in out of nowhere. Apparently dead really isn’t dead after all if you’re a certain character which again, goes against rules they established a long time ago. You CANNOT change your own world’s rules in such drastic and horrifying ways and then expect anyone to take you seriously when you try to actually keep those rules later. Dead is dead? Well, yeah, it is unless you’re Charming…or the Blue Fairy….or Rumple….or Archie…..but not Neal. He’s really dead because reasons. *rages* 🙁
That entire scene ruined the fabric of the show for me and pretty much told me that they don’t care about stuff they established earlier if it goes against the ‘new toys’ and new world that they want to play with in the more current season (s). I am not opposed to shows growing or changing with the times; it happens to every show on TV as times change and audiences change with it. I am however opposed to shows changing their own canon history and making up random crap when it suits their needs but then trying to keep other canon stuff in there. You can’t have it both ways.

BTW-My Facebook friends are cracking me up about the Puck pics. Most of them weren’t phased at all by my pics of the little random bison and half of them wanted to come along on the trip with us because it looked like so much fun, LOL 😀

#MoreBOOMLessGloomLast week in the course of our play, a certain crocodile finally managed to eat a one-handed sea captain, and said captain was tossed behind the chair in the playroom. Today, nannykid informed me, “We got Captain Hook out from behind the chair.” I tried to hide my disappointed face as he continued, pointing at his toy trucks. “But… now he’s in the garbage truck,” as he pointed into the trash receptacle at the top. I laughed so hard the baby gleefully declared, “Funny!” I would claim that I taught him well, if I had a darn thing to do with it. #evenpreschoolersknowHookisnotaniceguy

#MoreBOOMLessGloomWell, after suffering with a horrendous headache for about three hours of the six it took me to get home, having to stop THREE times to pee and once for an impromptu power nap when my head was really hurting, and one other stop for gas where I couldn’t figure how to get back on the highway and had to make a freaked out U-Turn to find I-70 W again, I am actually now at home, unpacked, mostly headache free, and have finally uploaded the rest of my Puck pics from this morning. 🙂
I am now going to go check my emai,l which I haven’t done in three days and is probably quite overwhelming, before heading to bed. I promise I will post more when I’ve gotten a decent night of sleep and am totally headache free! 😀

#MoreBOOMLessGloomHello from PA!! I finally made it to the hotel and in one piece which is a good thing since my directions ended on me and I wasn’t at my destination yet! I had to pull over and use my phone GPS to go the rest of the way. Thank goodness I had a signal there! Met DSB and her roomie and they’re pretty cool so far. None of us are ax murderers….yet, LOL 😉 (J/K)
