So I had to break the news to a friend today (a fellow Oncer who I always enjoyed chatting with about the show) that I refused to watch the season finale and won’t be watching the show anymore. I didn’t even bring shipping or Neal’s death into it when she asked me why! I mainly said that I no longer enjoy the overall story and that they changed some of the big rules that they established in the first 2.5 years of the show (i.e. Snow casting the cures using David’s heart but not paying a price for it and even getting Charming back by splitting her own heart), so I’m not about to waste my time on it anymore. She was totally shell shocked and taken aback by my comments but understood that sometimes shows change and you just have to give them up. I did mention that I wasn’t happy about giving up the show and was actually pretty honked off and upset that they screwed things up. It made me sad to have to admit all of that to her, and honestly, it was rather scary that I didn’t even have to mention shipping in order to explain why I stopped watching. 😮

BTW-If anyone is interested Entertainment Weekly announced their season finale awards today and OUAT won a couple of them. I’m highly amused that only one of those ‘wins’ could actually be looked at as a somewhat positive one, LOL 😉

Thanks for the lovely GIFs (that I can actually see!) and right now I am very thankful that work tends to block some of those things because I was spared from seeing the other stuff this morning, LOL 😉

This is not a CS vs SF thread…this is the SWANFIRE thread, aka pretty much the ONLY place on the internet that we have to vent, miss, talk about, and ramble about SF, Neal, Emma, and our thoughts on the show as a whole and you turning it into a CS debate has REALLY upset me this morning. If I wanted to argue about the merits of one ship versus the other, I’d go into another thread and do that which I used to do before this fandom became a cesspool of filth (which is totally a rant for another time). PLEASE leave this thread alone and stop trying to argue with us. Your guy is still alive and heck, he even has the girl now….our guy is DEAD and more than likely won’t ever be mentioned again on the show. The very least you could do is leave our one lonely thread alone. This is not what I wanted to wake up to this morning. *annoyed* 😮
