Bitter Town is just down the street from you guys so I’m sure I’ll be visiting from time to time. Today I’m just content being bitter and annoyed (mostly because of a coworker to be honest) so I’m staying away from the sadness for a while. I will be back frequently to Sad Town though…..I have dual citizenship. 😉

That would require them to acknowledge things from past seasons and they’ve all ready screwed up, retconned, changed, and forgotten half of what they wrote in the last three years so no, they probably don’t remember that fact. That would also require them to acknowledge Rumple’s son (you know…that heroic, lonely, guy who searched most of his life for home and ended up dying in his love’s arms because PLOT) and apparently that’s too much work for them. 🙁

*has moved from Sad Town to Bitter Town where she can throw things at her TV, read SF fan fics, and rip pages out of fairy tale books to her heart’s content*

Well, I get through my days pretty easy to be honest and I don’t mean that to be flippant or anything. This is just a TV show though and most TV shows don’t really affect my life as a whole other than bumming me out when they go down the toilet. My life as a whole hasn’t changed much since OUAT went to crap. I still go to work, I still talk to my friends, I still watch other shows, I still get out of my house for various activities, I still go to church, I still love to travel and keep planning more stuff for this summer….OUAT screwing over their story didn’t ruin my actual life. It made me sad/angry that they could just throw away story that they spent 2.5 years building and that little part of me will probably never be over it, but my life as a whole has gone on fine and honestly, talking about it here or on Twitter or wherever helps me get it all out so it doesn’t creep into the other aspects of my life. I don’t let it do that because I know that that would be really unhealthy for me. Just because I have my emo moments here doesn’t mean the rest of my life has gone to crap because of this TV show. I don’t want to speak for the others, this is just how I’ve dealt with things, but I actually think a lot of the folks here might agree with me on how they’ve been dealing with it too.

Did we get some random pages back?! I was on one page a little while ago and then suddenly I had to scroll ahead like ten pages to catch up with our conversation. The board is weird this week, LOL 😉

Anyway, I was asked last night to rewrite my “Step by Step Plan for Letting Go of OUAT” thing that got eaten by the board yesterday so I’m going to try to write it out again. Bear with me….I was up late celebrating Meryl & Maks winning the Mirrorball Trophy on DWTS last night, LOL 😉

1. Decide whether or not to watch the S3 finale….CHECK. I decided not to watch it and I still haven’t over a week later. I’ve watched the SF scene and I may go back and find a few other non Hook related scenes with the Charming family at some point but I have no intention of watching the CS fan fiction movie as of right now and I think my fandom life is much better for that decision. 🙂

2. Unfollow any official OUAT accounts on Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr that drive me crazy…CHECK. The official ABC accounts were becoming more horrible every week so leaving those behind wasn’t a big loss and holy cow, unfollowing AH alone made my fandom life SO much better. 😉

3. Unfollow any friends who drive me crazy and grab hold of the ones who make me happy….CHECK. *HUG TACKLES THREAD* 😀

4. Change background on my phone to something non OUAT related….CHECK. I am now the owner of a phone with an awesome MRJ background (picture posted about two pages ago) and it’s actually becoming very distracting because, well, it’s MRJ staring back at me on my phone and he’s adorable. 😉

5. Unfollow the cast members if they drive me too crazy…..NOT QUITE YET. Most of them really haven’t driven me that crazy because they don’t even tweet about the show anymore. I really do love this entire cast and I don’t want to unfollow any of them (though I did unfollow Colin because I needed some sanity) but if #TeamGG doesn’t knock off their annoying RTs soon, Ginny Goodwin is going to be my first Twitter cast member casualty. SERIOUSLY. 😮

That’s where I’m at right now and I seriously give those of you who aren’t giving up the show mad props because I just can’t see myself going back to this crap in the fall. The show has become something unrecognizable, unenjoyable, and unappealing to me now and I have enough other TV that I still enjoy so I don’t feel the need to waste my time with this one anymore. That actually makes me more angry now than sad because this show had SO MUCH POTENTIAL for greatness and they threw all of that down the toilet in about 11 episodes. 😥
