There is SO much perfection in that poem analogy that I can’t even handle it. A beautiful poetic story turned into Dr. Suess nonsense right before our eyes…they can’t really have gone that route without ABC interfering or them actually having a bigger plan that we don’t know about yet. I trust these guys about as far as I can throw them at this point but if they actually do pull something big off at the end of the season, I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t give them enough credit (even though at this point I want MRJ to stay as far away from this show as humanly possible since I don’t want him mixed up in the crap that it’s become lately). Meh. I’m at a point where I almost don’t want to watch until the end of S3B but I do want to see where the heck they’re taking this slop so I’ll watch but I’m now watching like I did both Heroes and Glee in their season 3 arcs. I just want to see where it ends up at the finale.
It snowed at my house today. I don’t know what’s more traumatizing for me right now….this show’s stories or the snow outside my house, LOL 😉

I have several friends who watch Once but aren’t part of the online fandom who are very upset with the stories as a whole right now. One hates the WW with a passion (she also thinks Once needs to stop introducing new characters and show more of the ones that are all ready there), a few others can’t stand Rebecca Mader, another thinks things are all right overall but the stories are a kinda scattered (she’s not a shipper of any kind so she’s the only friend I have who is actually still enjoying the show), another stopped watching in S2 and decided not to go back after seeing my comments from the Neal death episode, and others just lost interest in general this year. It’s not just SF fans at all who are unhappy with the show.

that line gives the writers free license to never bring up Hook’s misdeed and to never bring up Neal. moving on is okay, but it’s unrealistic to think it would happen over the course of 24 hours
OK, my last post apparently got eaten so let me try this again. I agree with both of you and its part of my reasons for being pretty close to done with the show right now. Emma was my saving grace. As long as she was still being written as the strong, independent, smart woman that we were introduced to in S1, I could suffer through the rest of S3 but she’s crossed the line now to stupid, insensitive, and shallow so that might be it for me. Each week I get more and more thrilled that MRJ is no longer being wasted on this pile of garbage program and I hope he finds something soon that allows him to shine like the awesome actor and person we’ve seen him be when given the chance. What the heck has happened to my favorite show???! 😥
RG-We decided in chat last night that we want to have a Road to Paloma chat party this summer when Mikey’s movie comes out on DVD. I think you were away at that point so I wanted to make sure you knew about this plan. I think it comes out on July 11th so we can schedule our watch party as that date gets closer. I’m SO excited to see this movie!! 😀

1. Tonight’s episode will be the first one that I don’t go back to watch the parts that I missed due to youth group. I hated the parts that I saw when I got home and have no desire to go back and watch the fist half hour.
2. This show didn’t jump the shark….it jumped the entire AQUARIUM that the sharks were being held in. Heck, it jumped the entire ZOO where the aquarium is held with the sharks inside it. I am SO sad that this show is such a shell of it’s former self now. Emma being written like a dingbat without a heart might be the last straw for me. It’s like they’re writing this show with their heads in a toilet right now. Where is the bada$$ woman I cared so much about in S1??! Why did they screw this show up SO BAD??! 🙁

#MoreBOOMLessGloomMy heart is still trying to process this episode tonight (and trying to recover from Neal falling into the portal after he and Emma declared their love for each other) so I’m barely coherent right now, but if these two people aren’t together in the end living somewhere happily with Henry (and Snow & Charming and other family living nearby), then I will go postal in ways that are NOT HEALTHY.
I found this back on page 2 of the forums…so Heather, can I hold you to that rampage you promised? I laugh to keep from crying.
Ugh, I actually remember writing that out last spring when that episode ended. I thought I was upset back then but then Quiet Minds happened and it took me five days before I could get through an entire day without getting teary and upset about that episode (and that’s only because real life got in the way and distracted me from my TV viewing when my cousin ended up in the hospital). I’m still not okay about this either and I have to admit that I haven’t been able to watch any of the videos that have been posted here and when I see sad GIF sets on Tumblr, I tend to reblog them and then go right past them because they’re still sad for me. 🙁
Cousin Update: My mom and I went up to see him at the hospital tonight and he’s doing really well. They moved him out of ICU now and to the rehab unit so he’s been busy doing a lot of occupational, speech, and neurological therapy. They aren’t sure how long he’ll have to be there (he’s ready to go home now, LOL) but he is doing SO MUCH better. His memory still has some gaps in it but his vision is better and his vital stats are really good. Thanks again for all the good thoughts and prayers! I’m really glad we got to see him tonight. 😀

#MoreBOOMLessGloomYou could be right RG. It could be the business side of TV but that doesn’t explain why none of his cast mates have acknowledged him leaving. Surely ABC wouldn’t stop them from doing that. There would be no reason to ask that of them.
Heather thinks it’s a sign of support for MRJ if it was ABC, a censure against ABC I guess. I don’t know, though. I’m conflicted over all of it. I suppose they could have called or said goodbye on set and not done it publicly on Twitter. They may not understand how the fans would see that.
No one will ever convince me that nothing was going on behind the scenes before MRJ left the show. This cast was tighter than all get out just a few months ago during the NL arc and now, they barely tweet anything about the show and don’t even tweet each other anymore. Something is fishy with this whole thing and it is really starting to make me upset. Why won’t they say anything? Why did Josh’s BTS pictures stop (my theory on that one…he got horrible reactions to the Neal funeral pic and decided to stop posting them)? Why doesn’t anyone live tweet anymore? Why are Keegan, Raphael, Michael Coleman, Lee Arenburg, and random other 2nd tier character actors doing all the tweeting about the show lately?! There’s too much evidence to the contrary for me to believe that MRJ’s exit was for ‘storyline reasons’. Personally, I really do think ABC wanted him gone and the main cast isn’t happy about it. Actors are used to coming and going from projects so why is this whole scenario playing out in such a shady way?
BTW-I would appreciate hearing something down the line about how the cast was great to him away from social media, that they all called or texted him after the episode, or heck, that they threw him a goodbye party in Vancouver. The problem I have with the lack of social media response is that Scandal also killed off a main character a while back and the ENTIRE CAST was still tweeting with the guy whose character died the NIGHT his death was confirmed and they still tweet with him now! They were all great about it so there is a way to be gracious about a fellow cast mate leaving a show without ruining anything for the rest of the fans or the story. The fact that this OUAT cast, who by all accounts are some of the nicest people on the planet, haven’t said ANYTHING about it or to MRJ (aside from a very few comments from non main actors) is what makes me believe something fishy is going on. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…..there’s usually a duck involved somewhere that isn’t quacking up the whole story for us. *still annoyed by this situation* (Pardon my duck analogy, LOL)
