X I have so many feelings about this GIF set Gah, I do too RG. Emma’s been right there for two of the biggest and most emotional moments he’s had with his father and no one understands that loneliness and desire for family more than her. People can say all they want about how all the characters on this show want to find their home (aka, the theme for S3B) but NO ONE ELSE on this show has suffered more in trying to find their families and their homes than Emma & Neal. NO ONE. Don’t get me started on that argument, LOL 😉

Random Thought: I wish I could find the post on Tumblr but there’s a girl there with a great theory that not only makes sense from a story perspective from a general TV rule perspective too. One thing we all know from this show is that no one gets to stay happy and if they are for a while, it’s not going to last. Emma alone is great example of this: Finds her family, they’re cursed and don’t know her. Break the curse, gets sent to FT land. Finds the love of her life, he’s engaged and then to top that off, he falls through a portal and is presumed dead. Finally has everyone important in her life, she has to leave them behind to be there for Henry. No one is happy on this show for long and that pretty much describes how things work on almost any TV show right now. If there’s no drama of some sort or a conflict for the characters, there usually isn’t much of a story. Its like TV 101 to give characters a lot of drama.This is the main thing the Tumblr girl pointed out before she gave her theory.
That said here is the rest of her theory. From the spoilers that we know and from things we seem to see coming, it seems like most of the characters all have some type of issue that they’re having to work through along with the whole being cursed thing…..except for one person. Who seems to have everything going good for him right now? Who has easy access to the girl he thinks he loves? Who is going to bond with her son for the first time? Who can possibly help everyone piece together this giant puzzle they’re in right now? Whose motivations are always up in the air? Yup, Hook. Life sounds like it’s going pretty darn well for him in this part of the season and if you know your TV 101, this shouldn’t make you happy if you’re a Hook fan because the only thing that can happen after that is for it all to go away somehow. He’s one of the only characters who hasn’t really suffered in his recent past either and the theory this girl has is that he’s being set up to be the one to die. Characters on this show do not remain happy nor does everything keep coming easy for them so I can’t argue with her theory at all because it makes sense. IMO, I think he’s going to be forced to make a similar type of sacrifice that Regina & Rumple did at the end of S3A in order to complete that hero arc they’ve started with him (unrealistic as it is for me because of the time frame but that’s a whole other essay, LOL). I think Hook bonding with Henry is going to remind him of the time he spent with Bae and maybe finding out about Nealfire’s bad situation (captivity or what not) is going to make him reevaluate the choices he’s made lately (I agree that it’s awfully shady that we don’t know how he got to NYC yet and I think he is a prime candidate to do something dark to get what he wants possibly even working with Zelena) and do the right thing when push comes to shove. The more they reveal about the upcoming S3B episodes, the less fearful I am about Neal dying because STORYWISE, it makes no sense whatsoever as his arc isn’t even remotely close to ending, but Hook? His arc could end in these upcoming episodes and if they’re not going to write him like they did in S2, then I would rather see things go that way because I won’t miss this weeny ‘heroic’ Hook they’ve created in S3 (I prefer the bad boy). Anyway, hope this makes sense and if I could find that Tumblr post I would totally link it here but I can’t even remember who wrote it now. She makes the points much better than me, LOL 😉

#MoreBOOMLessGloomHehe, I’m glad I’m not the only one who wants Neal to kick the crap out of Walsh at some point this season! It would actually be a nice parallel to Emma beating up Tamara so it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see it happen. I don’t care how nice he is; if he’s a flying monkey then he’s been working for the wrong side for a long time and willingly or not, he does need to pay for that by getting a Neal beat down. Since the actor has another show and probably won’t be sticking around past this season, my best bet is that he’s a casualty somehow in the later part of the season. Imagine the look on Emma’s face when Neal is protecting her and saving her from the bad guys…I think she would be in awe of his strength and bravery. It’s another side of him that she needs to see because she hasn’t really seen much of that yet. OK, this seriously has to happen because it’s too awesome.
I am now at work with a minor headache so please keep putting pretties here to distract me from the annoying headache. At least the drive to work wasn’t so bad because the roads are finally clear here! 😀

#MoreBOOMLessGloomI do have to go so I can get ready for work but I had a random thought about the necklace. In the other pics of Emma in that outfit with the jean jacket, she has the jacket buttoned up enough that you can’t see the other necklace. Obviously the pic Ginny posted is a BTS pic and not one from filming so my thought it this: I agree that there is enough evidence to support the theory that Neal is captured somehow by Zelena. What if they’re all able to find and rescue Neal eventually (perhaps in 3×18 or 3×19) but he has to stay hidden away so Zelena doesn’t realize they’ve rescued him. Somehow in the course of everything, he and Emma are able to talk and because she admits that she’s scared for his and everyone else’s safety, that’s when he gives her the necklace so that he’s always close to her while he’s being hidden away in SB. Just a random thought but it could work. Am I alone in hoping that it’s Neal who kicks the crap out of Walsh when they find out he’s an evil monkey??! I really need me some bad@ss Neal in these next episodes. 😉

#MoreBOOMLessGloomThe fact that we’re the only ones freaking out about the second necklace on that picture of JMo that Ginny tweeted today is kind of hilarious to me, LOL 😉 This is a fandom that dissects and analyzes every single little thing in this show and any pic of Emma wearing two necklaces again is a BIG DEAL. I have no idea if this is good or bad (refuse to think of this as a bad thing) but obviously SOMETHING has to happen for her to have that necklace on again. Maybe it’s Neal’s way of getting the message to her that he’s okay, that he’s trying to get back to her and Henry, and for her to hold onto hope that things will work out? Maybe he gives it back to her and somehow they find a peace between them again after being apart for over a year? Who knows. All I know is that I’m feeling more hopeful about S3B than I have in MONTHS and I’m actually enthusiastic about the show coming back now. Bring it on!!!
I’m so overwhelmed with SwanFire and Neal emotions from this last week and I can’t help feeling like they heard our cries for some photos or ANYTHING newsworthy at all about Neal and have answered us in a huge way. Hopefully they’re not mean enough to give us false hope and throw things our way just to get us off their backs. They’ve never done anything like that before so again, I’m holding onto some hope for the first time and finally feel like I can watch S3B with a little more excitement and a little less gloom. More #BOOM, less gloom, right??! 😀

#MoreBOOMLessGloomOMG, the ONE Saturday where I have to be up crazy early and don’t get online for a while because I’m half asleep and I miss another ROCKING big party in here!! I was SO HAPPY to see Ginny’s pic today and it feels SOOOOOOOO good that we aren’t the forgotten part of the fandom anymore. This hiatus wouldn’t have been so bad if I didn’t feel like there were people out there who have more than a few issues and don’t seem to want SF/Neal fans to be happy at all. I’m done with that crap…..I’m choosing to have hope and trust that there’s a MUCH bigger story out there that we don’t even know the half of yet. Pictures only give about 15%, if that, context of any stories on this show and right now, for me, I’m finally feeling truly excited about S3B again thanks to these pictures and a well timed photo of a door from one of my favorite people and NONE OF THEM are going to take that away from me. I really need to find that GIF set that says “Haters to the Left” because it’s perfect for how I feel right now, LOL 😉

#MoreBOOMLessGloomAgree on all accounts everyone! I hope my post doesn’t come off as hateful because I actually don’t feel that way at all. I’m just annoyed with the actions of some people that I find really unnecessary and laughing about how desperate some fans have gotten to believe whatever they see when what we see can mean so many different things. Everyone just needs to chill the crap out for a while and be happy that the show comes back NEXT WEEKEND. 😀
