ParticipantI think this was also an answer to the misunderstanding by the producers of the reaction to real Robin’s death. This, also, doesn’t change any of that. Hook is still alive and Robin is still dead. Hook still came back and kissed Emma at Robin’s grave. Hook was still special deus ex machina brought back to life by god for no reason at all, he did not deserve it in any way, whereas Robin was special extra strength killed so that he could not be saved even though he died saving Regina and helping get rid of Hades. That is all still true and all still hated and all still a mess and nothing about this storyline about fake wish Robin changes any of that.

ParticipantI agree with the true love’s kiss theory. It is also possible that Hook knows the Black Fairy. But true love’s kiss seems most likely since Gideon seem to be only focused on Emma.

ParticipantI think the worst part of this is that Emma cares about David. She thinks of him as her family now and she knows, i think she knows, that David losing his father at a young age has really effected him. David thinking that his father was a drunk and sort of like left them really effected David in a bad way and here that isn’t what happened at all. Hook murdered him just because he could.
Hook murdered him and the episode was not about David’s pain and Emma didn’t even care that Hook murdered her father’s dad. She didn’t care. It was all about Hook hiding it and Hook not trusting that Emma would still believe in him. How it wasn’t about how Snow and Charming felt, but about how Hook felt about having to sit across from them knowing what he did. It was about how upset he was about his past and not about how David might feel. David didn’t even care about Hook a week ago. I think it is a big leap to suggest he would just forgive this as if it was nothing. He was talking revenge, killing George, just yesterday.
It was just really terribly written. It made Emma seem dumb and crazy again. It did nothing to make Hook look any better. He still acted the exact same way as always, lying, hiding things, drinking, and only worry about how a situation effected him and not about how it effects anyone else. Hook only cares about himself and no one else. He isn’t even capable of thinking about other people’s feelings and reactions except worrying about how it effects him.

ParticipantI have been surprised how little they seem to be doing with the fairies this season. That has been disappointing. This show has just become so episodic. The use of Tink seemingly has no relation to anything to do with the Blue or Black fairy.
Robin ending up being nothing at all of interest and he just went back to the wish realm, boring as ever.
I think that they did not reintegrate the Reginas was a huge mistake. That isn’t even Regina anymore. And how would any version of Regina ever leave Henry for a guy they met once. They wouldn’t.
I think it is pretty likely now that Gideon is going to do something to Emma where true love’s kiss is needed to save her and that is why he got rid of Hook. Though, it is possible that Hook was part of some evil in the past and knows something about the Black Fairy or whatever random thing that is going to happen next and that Gideon wants to keep Hook away from it.

ParticipantI hope they don’t retcon the beanstalk scenes because that is actually a good episode even though Hook fans now think it is about Emma and Hook even though it isn’t. I wouldn’t mind if there was a new beanstalk in the forest in Storybrooke for some reason. Like, that is how Emma and Regina get back to this newly cursed Storybrooke or something like that.

ParticipantAbout Hook and Emma’s wedding, the circumstances surrounding their engagement seem so bad, like the writers really don’t want us to be rooting for them to go through with it. Something just seems really off about the whole engagement, especially with how things have gone lately. It’s being framed in a negative way. It reminds me of when Belle and Rumple got engaged. Rumple lied to Belle about the dagger, just as Hook is now lying by omission to Emma about murdering her grandfather. I know Rumple and Belle got married, but it’s been far from HEA for them. It just seems like the writers may be giving the CS fans what they want without really wanting them to be happy. Both couples have deep problems about lying. At least now Rumple is being honest with Belle, but they’re still along way off from being happy or really suitable for each other. Thoughts?
I really just don’t think we can interpret what might happen on the show based on what happened on the show in the past or the negative framing of an episode or really anything. I know that is ridiculous. Of course, in a normal show we would watch it and think about where the characters are at and what was said about things and how certain information was framed by the show, how characters reacted, how storylines were built, and then use that to interpret what would happen in the future on the show.
I just don’t think that we can do that with Ouat. Ouat is so inconsistent as to just be ridiculous. The characters will forgive each other for anything. The drama in the moment is meaningless because it may never be mentioned again or it may be forgiven immediately upon being mentioned or be forgiven in the next episode after being mentioned.
People on this show hang around and date people who have almost murdered their children and have murdered members of their immediate family. Not only do they hang around with those people, but they hang around them without ever discussing those incidents. That is so completely and utterly unrealistic. The characters on this show do not act like real people.
If we are just talking about the framing of the scene, the writers of this show just want to cause drama for the sake of drama and they did that. There was drama. That drama will have no bearing on what happens long term on this show. Nothing ever has a long term impact on what happens on this show. The characters are just rewritten and everything is forgotten within a few episodes. The characters in this show are written as insane people.

ParticipantThat is what i think too. I think Jennifer is completely done with the show, but she would be willing to go one more season just to finish it out. I think she is out though.

ParticipantThey have never shown the second ogres war. Granny just mentions it in Red Handed. She just mentions that that is when she lost her brothers. The first ogres war is the one when Rumpel was still a human and then he became the dark one, then we finally saw him end it in this episode. I agree that the duke was keeping it going to control the people.
No one has ever called what happened with Belle or with Emma/Snow in Season 2 to be an ogres war. They could just be skirmishes and not full on wars that last years.

ParticipantThey had a child murder someone. There has been no evidence that holding the dark one dagger makes that person dark. Bae was a child and he murdered someone even if he was a bad someone. They had him murder someone with dark magic which he did not like. Think about how he reacted when Rumpel murdered all those guards right after he became the dark one. Think about how he was reacting earlier in this very episode. This entire scene was ridiculous and so out of character.

ParticipantI wasn’t interested in the Bellamy plot either. Octavia’s was okay only in that she saved him. I also have no interest in them being some sort of couple. I still think all the adults should die and that their characters serve no purpose to the plot except to be stupid.
I think it was fascinating seeing Clarke, Emori and Murphy in a real house with electricity and showers and like cleanliness. That was definitely the most interesting part of the show for me. I don’t really care about Emori or what happens to her, but it was interesting that she felt the need to do that. I don’t think that she would have been the one used, but we will never know.
It is sort of a weird thing. They are trying to make someone a nightblood and being a nightblood is a big deal because anyone who is can take the flame and become the new commander. Obviously, they are also trying to save everyone from the rain, though they need to explain where they are going to get water from as well because that is the real problem. The rain is only a problem because it contaminates the water that they need to drink, so they should be looking for some sort of underwater reserve or maybe see where that house is getting its water from. Regardless, when i first saw Emori overhear Clarke and her mother talk about experimenting on someone to make them a nightblood, i actually thought she would want to do it. They are not doing a very good job of talking about the long term implication of making people nightbloods.
