ParticipantThe Hook/Charming friendship is pretty much made up, in my opinion. The last thing that Charming said to Emma about Hook before this episode was that he just wanted her to be happy, not that he approved of Hook, but that he wanted Emma to be happy. They are not friends. They had moments in this episode, but that was the first time that they had any real moments between the two of them and then right after we found out Hook murdered Charming’s dad.
This just is not true. I’ve cited examples before but you continue to just either forget about them or ignore them. I will not engage in this again. All I will say is there have been plenty of moments where Hook and Charming have “broed out” before. And Hook has helped Charming before as well. Nightshade comes to mind.
It is true though, in my opinion. I am not saying that Charming and Hook haven’t had scenes together. They have and Charming doesn’t want Hook dead, he doesn’t hate him anymore, because Charming is a good person and he wants his daughter to be happy. Having scenes together and helping Charming because it makes him look good to Emma or because he is just a normal part of the group and it is regular human decency to help someone not die when you can, doesn’t mean they are friends. Rumpel helps the group too at times, but they aren’t friends. Just because there are times in the show where Emma finally gets to interact with Regina or Snow and that leaves Charming and Hook out there with no one to go adventure with except one another doesn’t make them friends.
I don’t agree with your examples. I don’t care if you engage or not. I am not going to change my mind about this. The like five random times they have interacted does not mean they are friends. In 604 Charming said “Even as much as i hated that pirate when i first met him, if you’re happy so am i.” That is where Charming was at like a week ago and just a few weeks before that Hook was the dark one and tried to kill everyone.

ParticipantI really do think at this point it is possible that just the casual people on set know who isn’t coming back. I imagine that it would be talked about and people would be saying goodbye. I think this information could easily leak, the problem being that there is no way to know because there are also people lying on the internet too. Everyone has been guessed at this point, so someone is going to be right.

ParticipantWasn’t there some ogre war when Granny was young? There were, also, ogres surrounding Belle’s town when Rumpel took her to live with him an exchange or saving the town.

ParticipantI think they could easily not have Rumpel in the flashbacks. They could bring Rumpel back for one if they really wanted to, but he is only in the flashbacks now because he is a regular. He doesn’t need to be in them.

ParticipantWell, the next season would be who becomes the next ruler of Polis if everyone backs a nightblood then anyone can take the flame. That leaves this pretty open.

Nothing is going to come of this that will matter. It might even end up being just about Emma and Hook and not even really about Charming in the end.

ParticipantHook is not vehemently against killing people. He killed Merlin a couple months ago and almost killed the entire family. I don’t feel sorry for any of the villains on this show. They aren’t people. They are characters on a tv show and we are talking about how the morality of a television show is written and whether or not it is good or not. We are not talking about people.
I still think everything you cited is base level humanity. He sent a child out of the submarine instead of himself. He offered someone who had no where to sleep, somewhere to sleep and really that was more creepy then anything special considered he has tried to murder Belle on more then one occasion. Also, telling Charming to not kill someone in cold blood, once again base level humanity, is not some great heroic moment.

ParticipantI have read the tweets, nothing about it changed my opinion. Emma could still die. Rumpel could still go either way, but i think it is more likely the sheers will be used by Rumpel. It would be really easy to have Rumpel go off with Belle and Gideon. It is pretty much impossible to have it make sense that Emma would just go off with just Hook and not her parents or son or that Henry would leave Regina.

ParticipantIs the next episode the last Robin episode?

ParticipantSeriously, the whole idea that someone hasn’t murdered anyone in awhile meaning they are redeemed has always been so out there to me. Not murdering people in cold blood is like basic humanity. That doesn’t make one a hero of any sort. Especially, like others have said, these are people who have murdered a lot of people to the point where it was just not big deal for them to just kill a guy because it is more convenient for them then worrying about what they might say if they leave them alive.
The morality of this show is pretty much nonsense.
