Seriously, what is Archie doing out in the forest with his dog and two cups of coffee? That seems really random.
I really hope that the writers get that if they are going to show Aladdin, that story needs to be about Emma. I don’t care about Aladdin and while it is cool to see him, i don’t care what happens to him. I care about how Emma reacts to meeting another savior, what she can learn from him, what it means for her as a character.
This goes for all the new characters. I needs to be about the main characters.
I totally hear you, but i just think the writers write by the seat of their pants. They don’t know where they are going, so i have a hard time believing that there is anything to analyze. I also remember those quotes, but i think the writers were writing a different Hook then, a completely different show then. A show, where Neal was still coming back in the future, he was still the guy that Emma was angry with, but had loved for ten years. That Neal was the connection between Rumpel and the family. Those strings were still being pulled in, so Hook might be there, but Neal was coming.
That is all gone now. They flipped an insane switch, ruined their show, and killed Neal and Hook took over as Emma’s love interest. Nothing about what the writers say now makes me think that what you are writing is what they are doing. That was what they were doing then, Hook was just fun in Vegas, but not now. Now, they intend for Emma and Hook to be romantic and for us to like it and accept it as romantic. Every time i see the writers get annoyed in an interview when people ask questions about Emma and Hook or the show in general that they don’t like is just proof to me , in my opinion, that they are simply bad writers. The mess that was 5A is proof enough to me that they have no plan. The beginning of that arc is completely unconnected to the end.
PS. Completely agree with Rumplesgirl. I also agree that i love your analysis, slurpeez. I hope you keep writing them. I just don’t see it as possible. There are too many outside factors, outside of canon, the way the actors and the writers behave when talking about the show, that i just can’t dismiss. That alone with their treatment of the LGBT storyline, their treatment of rape on this show, their treatment of persons of color, their treatment of women on this show. They don’t live in the real world. They live with their head in the sand.
Oh, i don’t think anything can cause a lasting wedge between the characters at this point.
Regina has tried to murder everyone in Snow’s family on multiple occasions, did murder Snow’s father, her mother murdered Snow’s mother, Snow murdered her mother, and Henry almost died from eating the poisoned turnover. Regina is still part of the family.
Hook has tried to shoot Belle, stab her with a Hook, has stabbed Rumpel with a Hook. He and Belle are friends now.
Hook has tried to kill Emma, tried to separate her and Snow from their families forever, and tried to murder the entire family just last season. They are dating.
Zelena kidnapped Rumpel, murdered Bae, raped Robin. She is part of the family.
If Hook killed Charming’s dad, it might cause a tiff, but nothing long lasting. Not based on how much people hang out and date their would be murderers on this show. It is just a theory though. It could be some happy connection instead.
Well, if they are going to make a connection and it is bad, seems like something they would do. Hook is hundreds of years old. He has killed his own father. He killed lots of people back then for fun. Did he mention killing someone in a bar when he was talking about his serial killer rings? I might be wrong about that. I don’t rewatch.
Oh, there we go. Maybe Zelena is living with the Evil Queen. I keep hoping that Zelena will just go away. She is fun, but i don’t really see her purpose. Though i feel that way about half the regulars, so what are you going to do.
Could Zelena be living with the Evil Queen and not with Regina? That is what they should do. Maybe it will start with Zelena living with Regina and they will fight and then she will end up living with the Evil Queen in the farm house.
