This will be something dumb like Hook brings Emma flowers one time and he is now a hero. It will last half a scene during one episode then it will be over.
The writers never seem to know what the arcs will be for their characters because they don’t know til they write it.
[adrotate group="5"]There better not be two Hooks. I can barely stand their being one. If there has to be two, let the one Emma likes be the evil side of Hook, and the “good” side, be something else. Whenever they bring out that old jacket, i always think that thing is so old it would be moldy by this point.

Especially if Archie is only in one episode instead of it being an ongoing storyline for the half. Emma just has so many issues what with Neal all the way back to her issues with her parents that have never really been resolved.
I know, right? Like why? Why is all of that still happening? They got their memories back and everyone still just kept on living like nothing happened. There has been no change in their society in Storybrooke. It has always been ridiculous and gets more and more ridiculous the more things that happen. Then they have people like Aurora still wearing their Enchanted Forest clothes. It is just a complete mess, in my opinion. The fake memories should not be the dominate memories of their lives.
Delayed reaction, but not the school. I just never want to seen Henry in those school outfits. Why are they still wearing uniforms? Why do the fairies still pretend to be nuns? I just think all of that is silly.
I love your analysis, slurpeez. It would be so awesome if the show actually did something with Emma’s regret. Just so often, what happened in the past seasons is just dropped and they start over the next season.
Emma seeing Archie gives me hope, but it might just be about something random instead of her actually retreading her past. We will see, i guess.
You know when it really comes down to it, i just can’t hope for anything for this show anymore. That there might be some intricate long con plot thing going on. I just have no hope. My only hope is that it just doesn’t get any worse at this point. Even that seems impossible most of the time.
I agree with your analysis and find it fascinating. I do think that this is how the scenes on the show come off. I don’t think they are romantic. I just don’t think the writers are doing it on purpose. I do think that the actors, certainly Jennifer, try to play there character consistent with what was written in the past and i certainly believe that she considers Neal her true love. It is just that things in this show don’t exist in a vacuum. It isn’t just the relationship between Emma and Hook that is written unhealthy and with Emma seeming crazy for being with him. The same is true of many of the relationships, Rumpel/Belle, Snow/Regina, Emma/Regina, Regina/Henry, Regina/Zelena, Regina/Cora. I probably missed some but all of the big important relationships are really problematic on this show.
I just don’t believe there is some grand plan to get rid of Hook, for Emma to come to her senses. I think it is possible. Neal died. Regina is part of the family. If either of those things can happen then any nonsense can make its way into this show. I like Regina as part of the family, but it doesn’t feel earned to me. If that can happen. If Regina can be part of the family. If Neal, the purpose and point of connection of so much, can die. Then anything can happen. Hook can be Emma’s new true love. Emma can get together with Regina. I just really think that the writers and ABC have made their choice and that is Emma and Hook and they aren’t going to change their minds.
Nothing outside of a tv show is ever considered canon. The writers just don’t know how to show run. There is nothing gained by making them canon anyways. It is only a loss.
How are they going to explain away Gold’s shop suddenly switching sides?
Maybe they will mirror image the scene or just not show the side door. One time August got hit over the head in the Sheriff’s station and then stumbled out into the streets at the Town Hall. The writers think the audience is stupid.
