ParticipantOh goodness, that makes all too much sense. That they are going to compare Emma’s lack of ability to have a happy ending with Aladdin’s. Then talk about her happy ending being Hook. Excuse me why i vomit.

ParticipantCan Emma just talk about her family issues? Can that just be a thing again? Can it just not be about Hook?

ParticipantI don’t know. It is one thing to agree to do one episode. It is an entirely different thing to sign on with these guys as your producers again.

ParticipantDo you mean the ferris wheel? Yeah, I suppose it could be the amusement park where Neal and Emma had their first date. It’s also where Neal appeared to Emma in that vision in 5×12. But again, what would be the point of doing so now? Maybe Emma is going to remember another flashback of how he impacted her life, but it just adds more salt to the wound to do so.
I agree. At this point, either kill Hook and bring Neal back or don’t show him in flashbacks. It does just pour more salt in the wounds. There is no purpose to it. And i don’t want to see anymore Neal passing the torch scenes to Hook. That can just die. There is really nothing good they can do with it anymore. Either bring Neal back permanently or just stop.

ParticipantI still say JMo is done with the show and she doesnt like Cs so much, and maybe her way to hide that is exageration on her way she deals with colin when fans are present.
I agree. If Jennifer does things like hugs Colin and the fans like it then she doesn’t have to talk about Emma and Hooks’ relationship which she thinks is terrible and wishes wasn’t part of the show. She can’t say that though, so it is better to just not talk about it. I agree with everyone that is saying most of the cast is done. They are just staying for the money. There is no way that most of them will ever work with these producers again.

ParticipantI definitely think that Colin and Jennifer were told to ham up the Emma and Hook are true love nonsense. It just makes no sense that they would keep going on about it at comic con. I seriously only watched two interviews and it was mentioned in both of the two that i watched. That is just nonsense that they are trying to make us believe.
I’m hesitant to blame JMo or Colin, simply because I’m pretty sure they’re under instructions to act as touchy feely as possible
I think that was part of what got people so upset. JMo and Emilie made a joke about how standing next to Colin/being touch feely/whatever are part of her official instructions.
Agree completely. Jennifer saying i should stand next to Hook. That was my instruction. That is all PR.

ParticipantI would disagree that the sole cause of the show’s downfall is the writers promoting CS to the exclusion of all else. Personally, I think OUAT started going downhill around Cora’s death – well before Neal’s death. There’s an assumption in there that the writers had a plan for the show, and if they’d stuck to it, everything would have been good. But we’ve discussed (extensively) here how A and E are unskilled at character development, relationship building, world building, how poor they are at planning, how they change their plans simply to surprise the fans, how they might not even have created S1 without outside help. There’s nothing to suggest that the show would have been of a higher quality had they stuck to their so called original plan (if there was such a thing) or if they had not paired up Emma and Hook. I suspect it would still have been poor and offensive, only in a different way. They may well have assisinated Neal’s character, the way they have with Rumple, Snowing and Emma. We’ll never know, and the unknown seems more appealing than the current mess. Basically, it boils down to A&E being mediocre show runners, nothing more, nothing less.
While, i do think the show would still have problems. I don’t agree that having a plan and sticking with it would not make the show better. The writers had a plan original. Neal was Henry’s father, Rumpel’s son and Emma’s love interest. That was told to Jennifer before they filmed the pilot. That was the plan and a central point of the show before they filmed the pilot. All sorts of hints were littered throughout the first two seasons, all sorts of character development with Rumpel and Emma was about that, leading to that being a big part of the show. Removing that, fails the plan.
It failed the show. The writers are bad shown runners. They threw out their original plan and were completely incapable of creating a new plan and then sticking with it. Not sticking with the plan, the character arc, the larger story arc, the world building continuity, is their problem, so i wouldn’t say that the show would be just as bad if they had stuck with their plan when not sticking with their plans, with their continuity, is the problem with the show.

ParticipantI just don’t think it is possible that Regina can have a love interest this season. Maybe the Evil Queen will, but that would be more about sex or power then a love interest.

ParticipantI think it is still the first episode.

ParticipantI wonder if like when Charming attacks the person in the cloak that Emma wakes up. If it is some sort of dream sequence. Or the person in the cloak disappears.
