[adrotate group="5"]I thought that the interview with Jennifer was done while she was filming 512, so maybe she didn’t know about that scene at that time. Also she has to say what the writers are playing at and that is that Emma is with Hook. As ridiculous as that is, it is what is happening so she has to answer questions to what is happening.
It almost seems like the cold opening is after the scene where Rumpel gets the potion from Pan. It just seems bizarre. Maybe that isn’t the opening.
^ is cruel. He could just appear, have a touching goodbye with Henry, talk to his father and try to set him on the right path, and then move on because he’s NOW he’s finished his business. But that’s not what’s happening. Given what we know–it’s a mix of saying goodbye to Henry (and I expect this to be brief and perfunctory); it’ll be a warning, most likely about Hades and the spirits that inhabit the Underworld (and JMo tells us that Neal is not one of them); and, from that, that because Neal is not in the Underworld, he’s at peace, had no unresolved issues, and it’s okay to focus on Hook– thus he can’t be “saved” from the Underworld because he’s not there to begin with. All of which is utter nonsense but it gives the writers free reign for the characters to forget about Neal. That’s cruel.
It really doesn’t make sense. If they can save one person they can save anyone. Also, Neal more then anyone has unfinished business with Rumpel, Henry, and Emma. They can try and write one line to get rid of those issues, but they still exist. That is why the show doesn’t work anymore. This is tv. They should show not tell, but they tell all the time. No matter what Neal says, his issues are still unresolved, and he is still dead so that Emma can be with Hook. Even if he can’t be saved because he is in a good part of the afterlife and they are somewhere else and can’t get to him, that would be fine to say, like when Buffy was in heaven and they thought she was in hell, say something like that, but they shouldn’t pretend that the character has no unresolved issues. That is nonsense.
This is true. At this point everything is just salt in the wounds. They just don’t get what they are doing. It is like they think they can convince people that they should like Hook by saying Neal is happy and safe and wants Emma to move on. That is just not going to work. Show don’t tell. The writers can say all they want that Hook is her true love and that he is a hero, but he doesn’t behave either of those ways. And regardless of what Neal might say, if he was alive Emma would be with him and you can’t undo that, in my opinion, no matter what is said or done. I do agree that Neal talking to either no one because they are unable to communicate back to him or him saying goodbye to Henry or Rumpel is the best that can come of this. I will continue to try and prepare for the worst though.
So it definitely looks like there is some reference to Neal in the upcoming episode. So maybe there is something to the Neal’s warning song title. Still, i just want him as a character back on the show and we know that can’t happen. Though i am glad that MRJ is doing other stuff. I just keep feeling like it is just going to be a horrible scene where he tells Emma to move on and that he is at peace and i just don’t want to see that sort of nonsense.
Yeah, it is room 8. Episode 220 around 29 minutes into the episode. Crappy cap, but you can see the room number. That definitely means there is some mention of Neal. Maybe everyone rooms in Granny’s Inn.
Maybe Room 8 is the one Emma searched and Henry knocked his foot against. Then Neal came up and caught them and was like hey i taught you that to Emma. What episode was that?
