ParticipantDo you know when, as in the date, that it was said Snow, Charming, and Mulan had a scene together?

ParticipantOh don’t get me wrong. Regina is evil. Has done a lot of evil. I am not trying to justify that. I just think that she started down that path because of these external things that happened to her. And for Rumpel it seems that he chose to move down that path whereas originally Regina had all of these horrible things happen to her. And Regina’s losses are real deaths or real abuse whereas with Rumpel Bae and Belle are both still alive, out there, and his reason behind his behavior seems weaker to me.
I am not at all trying to excuse Regina’s decision to go after Snow, kill Snow’s father, kill her own father, kill the huntsman, curse the world. I also think that we are going to find out in Ep 202 that Rumpel was the hand behind helping Regina become who she became. And that doesn’t mean that it is not Regina’s fault for everything she did. Her fault absolutely, but i think that part of that fault will be laid squarely at Rumpel’s feet by leading her down that path or helping Regina’s mother, something. Rumpel’s hand is going to be in Regina’s evil.

ParticipantI think that they aren’t in the episodes much until later on. Maybe Ep 3? Right?

ParticipantThe reason why i think Regina is more redeemable then Rumpel is because Regina has actually lost something. Daniel was murdered in front of her. And she was abused as a child. Everything Rumpel had happen, he did to himself. And he continues to do it to himself, by letting Bae go and throwing Belle out.
Also i don’t think that they are going to be able to use magic in Storybrooke. At least not the way they used magic in fairytale land.

ParticipantRock on. How she met Rumpel and how she learned magic. Which most likely means the two are connected. Can’t wait to see it. And young Snow is in it, so that means it most likely happens sometime after Regina marries Leopold.

ParticipantThat is an interesting idea Priceofmagic. Though, like you said, it is all speculation that Hook took Belle’s first wife as well. We don’t even know when the flashbacks of this episode take place. That would, of course, then bring a connection to the two timelines which there always is a connection. The wife could leave and Belle could stay. I have never really liked the theory that this character from the fairytale land parts was Rumpel’s first wife though. The description never sounded quite right for that to me.

ParticipantThe only reason i don’t like that is because then he would have said. The show seems to imply that Henry getting the book from Mary Margaret was the stressor that lead to him looking for Emma.

ParticipantWhat i mean when i saw he might not be bad, is that he might still be Hook, the vindictive pirate who will destroy his enemies, but that is no different then Rumpel. And so Hook may have much more to his story then he is just the villain bent on destruction. He might not just be the enemy and that is it. Even that description suggest much more to the character then just that. And when i say love interest, i mean as in Hook being interested in Belle not that it would be reciprocated. And that is just an idea. I don’t really know if that is the case.
And we don’t really know if everyone is working together or not. All we know is that they are in scenes together. Rumpel may be accusing Moe of having to do with the disappearance. And who knows what the paper is that Charming and Rumpel are looking at. And Belle may not have been mugged or kidnapped just because she was pushed up against the wall of the library after she was found looking inside of it. I just think we are jumping to a lot of conclusions here based on very little information.
And enough with the laughing smiley faces for goodness sake. Please.

ParticipantHook might not even be bad. What if he is like a secondary love interest for Belle? And there is some sort of jealousy thing going on. It just seems like in one set of shots Belle is peering in the window of the library, but in the next she has a key. I don’t know. We don’t know enough.

ParticipantI think she must have told him he was adopted all along. Though we don’t know that. It is never mentioned. The information that it is Emma is what he finds on the website in the pilot that he paid for with Mary’s credit card which he stole from her.
