Seriously, how is this show not cancelled at this point? I hope they just tell us and start writing towards it.

Henry and Lucy will be fine. This is not a remotely interesting plot point and they should not waste half a season in it. It should be resolved really quickly and the witches should be the issue.

I think the reason that the first curse stayed in the Land Without Magic was because Rumpel wrote that curse and that was what Rumpel wanted. His goal was so create a pocket of magical land within the land without magic, so he could then cross over and search for Bae.

This new curse was written by someone else and has another purpose. Gothel trying to steal the eight witches power is a good theory, maybe she just wants to be in charge, who knows as this point. We do know she wanted this curse enacted and that the threat of Henry dying if it’s broken is supposed to stop the “good guys” from breaking it, so it seems like that if it’s broken the return because that is how Henry would die. Henry isn’t going to die though and is in no real danger, so I imagine they will save Henry and Lucy and keep Hyperion Heights.

I thought it was interesting how Anastasia couldn’t control hey magic and it would explode out of her. We have never seen that before.  Also, she could sense magical things around her. She sensed the dagger and sensed Gothel. The fact that it was more then just the dagger that she sensed is probably important. She might just be really powerful. I imagine she will end up hurting someone with that magic.

Yeah, i think that once Regina was on the good side, she took over Snow’s job of advice giving and became that character. She has continued being that character during this season, for Henry and Drizella and Zelena and even Rumpel a bit. It can’t be Regina because that has never been the part she has played on the show. The writers definitely haven’t made her the lead now with how little screen time of significance she has been given.

I really think this is the biggest mistake thought. They needed to pick one of the ladies and make them the lead. The lead would have to be in every episode, showing them interacting with all the characters, show them figuring out the mysteries, showing them helping people, showing them standing up to the villains. That character doesn’t really exist anymore. Jacinda has never really been shown to stand up to anyone. Henry hasn’t really either. Jacinda has had a couple of scenes with Drizella in the present day, but hasn’t been part of any of the major plot points with Gothel and Rapunzel. Henry hasn’t either. I am not even sure how aware Jacinda and Henry are of anything that is happening. Drizella has been talking to many characters, but she is crazy. Rumpel is working on the mystery, but he has his own agenda and isn’t helping others. Regina is talking to the most people, at least now that she has her memories, but that has only been the last few episodes. Hook is doing some of the cop stuff, but it has nothing to do with the plot.

Emma in the first episode was questioning what was going on with Regina. She took a chainsaw to her apple tree. She then promptly became the deputy, giving herself power and a reason to be involved with all of the people in town. She was quickly helping others and spending time with Henry and Snow. Emma had fascinating conversations with all of the regular characters, Snow, Regina, Rumpel, Charming, and Henry and is very involved with helping all the others, Red and Granny, the dwarfs, Cinderella 1, Jiminy and Geppetto, Abigail, the Hatter, Hansel and Gretel.

It is almost like they took Emma’s character and split it up and spread out what she did with a bunch of different characters and that just doesn’t work. Jacinda is the mother wanting custody of her child, Drizella is the motherless child, Alice is the street kid, Hook is the cop. That used to all be Emma and the show needed that. The show needs a center.

I agree also with the loss of Storybrooke. In the early seasons, Snow and Emma’s loft, the diner, and the sheriff’s station were in almost every episode and a lot of very important conversations happened in those spaces. There really aren’t those places in the new show and there isn’t that character who you follow around and learn about the world with. It doesn’t work. I am not saying that people had to like Emma, there is a lot to dislike about later season Emma, but Emma served her purpose on the show and that is a necessary purpose on a show like this. I don’t know how they fix it either, but they need to and quickly. Honestly, i think they just have to fix it. Read Jacinda in and involve her with all the characters right now.

Yeah, that makes sense. It just seems weird to me that they would be included, but i guess having six new characters is a bit much as well. That plotline could really drag out, like reveal them so that they can defeat them already. I hope that it is less obvious then Zelena was when she was supposed to be baby Neal’s nanny.

It is hard for me too. I wanted to like Ella. I wanted to be invested in that. I wanted to give Henry a chance. I just think there is no way to replace Emma with Henry. Andrew West is not even remotely as good an actor as Jennifer Morrison. I have liked him as Henry, but there is no emotion and no depth in it. There is no spark between him and all the other characters like there was with Emma.

They had to have a female protagonist, in my opinion. That is the show. That is the audience. It had to be Ella and they haven’t given her enough screen time, she has barely been developed, and the majority of the screen time she has been cursed, so it is pointless. Ella should not have been cursed. The majority of the villains aren’t cursed, so why not have Ella not be cursed. They could have worked around it. It may have been harder, but it would have been better.

They are definitely treating Henry more like the protagonist then Ella and that just does not work. I don’t think that Dania Ramirez has been that great of an actor, but, honestly, it is hard to even know because what she has been given has been so bad. This show has been awful for years, but this is such a huge mistake.

It is so frustrating to read the writers talking about the characters that the audience are liking because, of course, no one is liking Ella, they never wrote for her and when she had some time, they wrote her completely unlikable and then they turn around and wonder why no one is interested in her. It is the same problem with the first Ouat. They quit writing for real Emma and for Bae and for Snow and wondered why their audience was talking about them less, when it was the writers that caused that to happen by writing badly for them in the first place.

It is always the bad writing of good characters that destroys the show. The writers do this to themselves.

I think there is zero chance that Anastasia is the guardian.

I really think there is no chance they are going to explain the timeline and everyone’s ages. I, also, think there is no chance that they are going to explain why Emma, Snow, and Charming aren’t coming to help.

Yeah, unless Gothel starts actually interacting with Alice, then she is just a dead man walking.
