I think the new Enchanted Forest is not the wish realm. Fake Hook traveled from the wish realm to the Enchanted Forest 2 when he met Gothel and all that. The aging doesn’t really make sense, but i don’t really think they are going to explain it. The wish realm has another Henry, and the split Evil Queen, with the second Robin. It is just a different realm.

They are definitely implying that Rapunzel and Rumpel think that Anastasia is the guardian. I just think they are wrong. She is a plot device, but not for this.
This is one of the problems with this season, with this show, is that in the end it isn’t going to matter at all who cast the curse. They are just hiding all this stuff, but still not doing character development. The curse needs to go away, so that Henry and Ella are actually making real decisions.
I do think that Guardian has to be one of the new characters. The old characters no longer serve a purpose in the story except to keep viewers. The real story of the season has all been about Ella and her family and the villains surrounding it. Regina hasn’t had an episode yet, not really. Rumpel did, but it was just to get rid of Belle. Hook has never served a purpose and, i think, he will continue to be that.
I still don’t get what the purpose of the Guardian even is. It seemed like their purpose was just to help Rumpel not be the dark one, but there must be something more to it that we don’t know about.
I also think they tried to make Drizella sympathetic in this episode by showing her crying after Anastasia woke up. I think that just makes her seem crazy. That her reaction to her sister being awake was sadness because now she doesn’t have her mother’s complete attention. That is what i would call bad writing and complete lack of understanding of how complicated people are.
I do wonder what Gothel’s purpose will be. She thought Rapunzel could be the guardian, but all she did with her was hide her in the tower for six years. Does the guardian serve another purpose except to stop the dark one? We don’t know anything about that. The obvious choice is still Henry, but Ella is probably on the list. I don’t think it is Lucy because she is a child and having her hold the dark one dagger or somehow cause Rumpel’s life to end, sounds terrible.
