I too cannot stand august. Never liked the story of Pinocchio and now I realy don’t like it.
I give him a little leeway like i said, but i do think that Pinocchio is responsible for leaving Emma and not looking after her like he promised. That was a choice he made and a choice he continued to make later on. I don’t really see anything all that likeable as a character either at this point. I think Pinocchio is likeable so that is still in there, but right now he has to come back a bit more from what he has become, in my opinion.
PS. I really like the idea that the Blue Fairy has her memories and is pulling strings as well. Someone mentioned somewhere that maybe the Blue Fairy’s magic helped Henry come to Emma on her birthday because of the whole blowing out the blue star candle. Maybe not, but it was a good thought.

I agree that i am willing to give little Pinocchio some leeway as a seven year old, but eventually he wasn’t that kid anymore and he should have gone to find Emma. He could have still helped her when she was a child at least given her some support. And i am not saying that he can’t decide now to do the right thing for Emma, but it doesn’t even seem that is what he is doing. He still seems to be doing it all just for himself. I really think that characters are doing things too much just for themselves with no regards for the pain and suffering they are causing others and i am hoping that Emma is the one who actually decides to do the right thing even though all these people who are cursed are pretty much a mess.

ParticipantI think that Geppetto thought about it and decided to do the wrong thing. I agree that even if Pinocchio was turned into a puppet that he would most likely have been saved when Emma undoes the curse. I think the Blue Fairy even said something like that that while she didn’t know that they had to hope that the savior would come back and help them.

ParticipantThe original part was there i think. In Ep 5 Henry knew that Geppetto and Jiminy were best friends so part of their story had to have been in the book. It may have just been that the part after wasn’t all the way finished like they showed Pinocchio go in the wardrobe now, but not what happened afterwards.

ParticipantI don’t think Rumpel can leave town.

ParticipantJefferson is coming back most likely in the real world and so is the Huntsman for certain in the fairytale land.

ParticipantAnd if Henry ate it of his own free will that is just like Snow who seems to be eating the apple of her own free will in fairytale land. The two scenes could mirror each other.

ParticipantI actually think that both Mary and Henry told Emma about their conversations with Graham. Didn’t Emma say that he was running around talking to people and she was waiting outside the door to Henry’s house which suggested to me that Mary called Emma after Graham left her classroom. I am not saying that is enough to believe. I think her biggest reason is that August is sane. He isn’t crazy. And he seems sincere. The thing is she thinks he is lying because he is a liar, but he has no reason to lie.

ParticipantI think Geppetto did the wrong thing. He has risked the fate of the world for something that might not have happened. Pinocchio may have been fine. And i don’t blame Geppetto for wanting to save his son, but i do blame him for chancing everyone elses lives and actually doing it. And August became irresponsible and a liar and while he was just a kid he isn’t anymore. And i agree that it seems like the reason he came back was just to save his own life and not to help Emma or everyone else. I actually think Emma is going to have a really hard time trusting a lot of these people. Emma feels abandoned by her parents and now we learn that Geppetto and Pinocchio lied about the cabinet to save Pinocchio and then left Emma alone.
