I have wondered if Rumpel had to be shiny and glittery in fairytale land. We saw that Zoso, the original dark one, was able to look like a regular man so that he could try and convince Rumpel to burn down the castle, steal the knife, and kill him. So maybe Rumpel can use his magic to look like a regular guy too.
[adrotate group="5"]I just keep thinking that Gold didn’t know who he was until he heard Emma say her name in Granny’s Inn in Ep 1. And i was watching the Pilot and thinking about when Emma blew the candle out on her birthday cupcake and made a wish and Henry knocked right then. It just seemed so like the moments when Emma took the key from Granny, making the decision to stay in town, and the clock ticked or when Emma took the deputy badge and put it on her belt, putting down roots, and the mines fell in.
I would think that both of those things were caused by Emma and her magic or her connection to magic. And just like we think that Emma got the hat to work in Ep 17, so maybe even before Emma came to Storybrooke she still had some of the power to make things happen just like when she blew that candle. So maybe she was able to cause Henry to be sent to where he was supposed to be so that he could come to her at the right time just like she is supposed to come to Snow and Charming.
You are right though. It is probably just Gold. I just find that less interesting, but it is the obvious so it is probably right.
I think the actors have been off for two or three weeks now though. And will be resuming mid July that it about 3 and a half months. I agree though the production is still working on the last four episodes and the writers might be working on Season 2 by now though maybe not full on yet.
Great research Phee. I really like all of those ideas. If these are the ingredients to the dark curse i wonder if we will ever get more detailed information about them.
And you know i sort of think that it could be Emma’s magic that may have caused Henry to be chosen as the child that Regina would adopt. I think i would like that better, That it was Emma that was the causer behind that rather then Gold.
I have always liked the theory that August could be Dorthy’s son. Though i do think that the biggest question is why he knows things about fairytale land. Like how was able to add to the book unless what he added to the book was false which as of now i don’t think so and if it is true then i think he must have been to fairytale land or been in contact with someone from fairytale land. We know so little about the character that maybe in the future i would think what he added to the book was false, but as of now i think not. I guess it is just that his knowledge of fairytale land is the biggest question about who he is for me.
I really don’t want Emma or Henry to be anyone else. I think one of the things that i find interesting about their characters is that they are the next generations of the known fairytale characters. Like it is interesting to see Snow White and Prince Charming being parents and seeing their child and grandchild and that is their fairytale counterpart. Emma is just the Sheriff and a bail bonds person in the real world and in fairytale land she is Princess Emma, Snow White and Charming’s daughter. I want her to just be that.
And shows that only have around 12 episodes for the first season are usually shows that start half way through the normal season because another show was cancelled.
Rumpel may not threaten people up front, but he does get them to make a deal with him because they are desperate and then the cost he asks for is way too high. He isn’t innocent in this. To ask for someone’s firstborn child in exchange for a dress and some glass slippers seems pretty steep. And to trick her by not saying that up front does not seem innocent to me.
