ParticipantIt didn’t seem like Rumpel was all that bad off in the fairytale land. He did have a huge house. Though maybe after he does the deals with Snow he is then outcast somehow.

ParticipantI know the red hair is the biggest thing against him being Pinocchio. It is probably just a red herring, because it seems like they have more of those then actual clues to who the characters are.

ParticipantI also think that it is a mechanism of the curse. I was just wondering if the curse knows them all in some way or if it is reading them somehow because the names are not just coincidence. And i agree. I doubt very much that Regina is sitting down making a list of their names.

ParticipantThat is a great shot of Red’s wolf. She is pretty scary looking.

ParticipantYeah. That is what i think happens sjm. Snow either tells her father or tells Regina’s mother or something like that and the stable boy gets killed for it. Maybe they will send him to the front of the ogre wars and let him get killed at the front. Or rip his heart out.

ParticipantI think that i thought it would be a better twist if they did all that and then it ended up that Rumpel didn’t know rather then he did.
And i agree that they should have Rumpel remember, i just think that it would have been much more interesting for them to show him remember on screen. To see that moment. It is what it is though. They made their choice. And the scene where Regina confronts Gold in the jail was a great scene.
Though i don’t think that the power struggle between Rumpel and the Queen is a central element of the show. We don’t even know if there is a power struggle so far.

ParticipantI think that it is very possible that Rumpel knows about Red. We know that Red told Snow about Rumpel so she knew something of him. It is also possible that Granny did a deal with Rumpel for the red cloak which stops Red from turning into a wolf.

ParticipantI think she always knew. Her behavior, her dialogue, her reactions to other people, and also the plot makes no sense if she didn’t always know. The whole point of the curse was that the Queen was to get her happy ending by putting everyone else under this curse where they lead sad lonely pathetic lives with no happy endings and no change and no aging. If she didn’t know that seems to throw the plot.
I still question a lot more whether Rumpel always knew. He just seems so confused at times. And there has always been the question about whether or not he remembered only when he heard Emma’s name in Granny’s bed and breakfast. Though i am not sure if the writers will do anything that interesting because making him know was so uninteresting.
@weedith. That scene in Ep 2 where Gold says “I think you think you know exactly who she is” makes no sense in light of the fact that they both know because what else could Gold be talking about then that Emma is Snow and Charming’s child. Though maybe we just need more information. If people have been visiting the real world from fairytale land or crossing over before the curse then maybe Emma could be someone else. I mean we know she isn’t, but it is possible the queen could think she is someone else i guess.hjbau
ParticipantI also think it is interesting that Snow picked Mary to be called and that she said Margarat and then that is her name in the real world. I also like the idea that Charming’s name really is David in the real world. Maybe their names were somehow created by themselves when the curse happened since they all seem to reflect who they are in fairytale land. And maybe David was given his own real name because his memories were not full integrated because he was in a comma and they only happened later on. That is a good theory.

ParticipantI agree. I don’t want both Snow and Regina to like the same boy. That just seems silly to me. Though that might be it. I do think that the stable boy is going to be killed because of whatever is going on between he and Regina.
