ParticipantEp 9: True North. Emma was looking at her file.

ParticipantThis was not my favorite episode. I mean i liked it, but it still had some writing problems. Gold and Regina were great in it though and another good Emma and Mary scene. The Mary and David scene with the card, i just can’t believe he did that. Also the scene where David was buying the cards was funny because Gold was buying rope and duct tape which is just hilarious.
The fairytale world scenes were fine. There was some good dialogue in there and a lot of disney cameos going on. In some ways the room was more interesting then their dialogue and the conversation with the queen. This was a much better Rumpel episode then the last one.

ParticipantOne of the writers did a tweet chat during the episode and i read it afterwards and she said this:
Jane Espenson: There have been many Ogreswar. Rumple was in one centuries ago, but it breaks out again, over and over.
Here is a link to the tweet chat. http://blogcritics.org/video/article/once-upon-a-times-jane-espenson/

ParticipantWhat was Belle doing though? She takes the rose and then walks over and opens a box on the floor. Does she take something from it like scissors or something? Then she goes to the wall cabinet and gets a vase. I just didn’t understand what she was doing at the box on the floor.

ParticipantI wonder if the queen always had magic or she gained it somehow. Maybe she did a deal for her magic.

ParticipantI think Gaston is dead too.

ParticipantTrue. With the lamp it could go either way. And i noticed it was there when Rumpel was with Belle, but then it was gone when the Queen came to visit. It was on the same plinth as the Egyptian looking axe. I still think it is after the Queen killed Snow’s father just because of her behavior and the fact that she was wearing black and that she was wandering the countryside.

ParticipantSorry, i didn’t mean to be rude. I was just trying to be helpful. Apologies.

ParticipantI think that this is probably after the Queen kill’s Snow’s father because the Queen is wearing black and before that she didn’t.
Also Rumpel had the lamp and i think that Regina could only look through the mirrors after the Genie got trapped, but you are right that we don’t really know that.
I would also say that this is after the Queen tried to kill Snow at least the first time, but i don’t really have a reason for thinking that.

ParticipantEmma is my favorite right now. I didn’t like her at first so much, but she has had the most growth as a character. A lot of the characters, being stuck in the curse, haven’t had a lot of forward movement though we have seen a lot of their pasts. So Emma right now.
I really liked Regina in the newest episode, Ep 12, she was great.
