ParticipantPart of me thinks, i just shouldn’t watch this episode. Since the new Hook is a new character and has to relevance to the past, then this episode has no point to the current plot. It is pretty much filler at this point. I will watch it though, just to get through it though.
If it isn’t even Hook, then why in the world did they keep Colin? It makes a lot more sense to me to keep Rebecca Mader. She is a better actor and her character was unfinished and she is related to Regina and they could just give her a different personality. Her character had a lot more depth to build on whereas Hook has nothing.

ParticipantI am going with Alice is Emma’s daughter and she did the curse because she was trying to help Henry.

ParticipantI thought there flirting was just okay. It was better then some of the relationships on this show, so i will give it a chance. I hate the flashbacks though. Her dress is terrible and i am hoping it goes after this.

ParticipantI think with this episode, we just need to go with what is the worst thing that could happen, and that is going to be it.

ParticipantThis just makes no sense. It is terrible writing, but these writers are terrible.

ParticipantThe dialogue was terrible. It was just cheesy as all get out. I still don’t think it works to have none of the main characters with their memories. It just does not work because all of the drama has no impact and any conflict is pointless because this isn’t them. No matter how much conflict happens between Henry and Cinderella, it will all be gone and is therefore completely meaningless, the moment their memories are returned.
Lucy does not work as the only one who knows what is going on. At least that we know of. This just does not work, as it is.
The best part was there was very little Hook and very little Rumpel. Hook’s character was ridiculous and just made him even sillier then he has been before.
I think Tremaine and Alice were the best thing about the episode. I, also, liked that Regina has her bar, but that is also a pointless thing because Regina isn’t going to care about that bar once she gets her memories back.

ParticipantI think that short season shows are almost entirely filler and are usually really slow. It is like they have a beginning and an end and that’s it.
Each episode needs to be about something even in a non episodic show and that is what doesn’t work about short season shows, in my opinion. They have entire episodes of pointlessness. Though, any show has that, it just seems more ridiculous to have really boring episodes when they only have to produce ten.

ParticipantYeah, the writers are definitely into the trick writing, instead of actually writing character moments. I think Rumpel would be a more interesting choice because they could have him do it for the good, instead of hurting everyone for his own selfish choices. That would be too character for them.

ParticipantI think it is interesting that neither Regina or Tiana are doing very many scene with Tremaine. It really does make it seem like she isn’t really the villain at all.
The reason the timeline is discussed is because, in my opinion, that is the easy part to get right. If the writers can’t get that right, such a simple thing to get right, then they can’t get emotional growth and consistency right and that is why their characterization is a mess and that is why the show is a mess.
This is just a symptom of the real problem with the show and that is bad characterization because of a completely lack of ability to even be the tiniest bit organized or consistent.

ParticipantHenry is still significantly older when he meets Cinderella. Lucy is ten. That means at least fifteen years have gone by not ten. I think the only explanation is, like others have said, that time moves faster in the Fairytale land 2. Though it is not 2017. I have no idea why anyone is saying that. Henry is at least 3 years older before he leaves Storybrooke.
