I think the biggest mistake was all the dark one mythology and the dark fairy stuff. I would have made Rumpel’s mother one of the two original fairies. I have always wanted Blue to be the dark fairy though, so that means that Rumpel’s mother would be the light fairy. I would make it seem like the Blue fairy is good though until the last moment when we realize that she is the dark fairy and really Rumpel’s mother is the light fairy. There could even be those fairies who are on the wrong side and don’t know it because it was something that happened long ago and in private, so what happened is not known.

I would have had the dark one dagger be like something that was forged from the tool that was used in the first murder. The whole holy grail, Excalibur, becomes the dagger thing was just too much and not enough at the same time. That would be a long game plot though, introducing bits and pieces of what happened long in the past between like the original people in the Enchanted Forest or something. That could even connect to the fairies with them being too involved or not enough involved in helping people and somehow creating the problem. Like the satan whispering toEve in the garden.

I know some people might not like biblical undertone in the show like the David and Goliath or the shepherd becoming king or the holy grail, but those stories are part of the way people view the world and so i think it is fair game to use those ideas about the first murder or the idea of a fallen angel, but instead a fallen fairy. This is seasons of plot though that would have to be hinted at over the long game. It isn’t a one and done episode or even one half season arc and done thing.

I am not a Rumpel fan, but i do think they went too far with him earlier in the season with how he spoke to Belle and with him hooking up with the second Regina and not caring that it happened. I think there is a line that you don’t cross and i think they crossed the line. Of course, i wouldn’t kill Bae because there is just too much interesting there with Bae’s connection to the entire family. I think they could have done more with prophecy if they had built a long game mythology and have had Bae be the boy who was the undoing which was probably what they originally meant. The whole Rumpel and Bae being the same person and Zelena doing whatever she did to them would never exist.

Yeah, but the plot of Desperate Souls with the stupid thread that he used as an accelerant was the first episode with an objectively dumb plot. If you are a Rumpel fan and just seeing his back story is enough then sure, but the episode, in my opinion, doesn’t actually make sense.

The Crocodile is the only episode without Emma in it and it was Hook’s first episode. It was boring and was when i thought that Season 2 was going to be terrible. Now looking back Season 2 is much better then later seasons, but they made such a big mistake by splitting Emma and Snow away from the rest of the characters that they quickly tried to fix it and the show never really recovered from that mistake. I don’t like Charming and never have as a character or an actor. Regina is much better now, but Season 2 was definitely some of her weakest episodes, in my opinion. Cora salvaged Regina’s plotline in that season.

I know that people like Robert as an actor, but i have a real problem with his acting when he is trying to be spinner Rumpel or when he tries to cry. It just doesn’t work for me and never will. The best sad scene for him was when Bae fell through the portal. I think the rest are not well acted. I know that probably no one is going to agree with me on this and that is fine. Agree to disagree.

Emma is still my favorite character. Her dating Hook is extremely out of character and she hasn’t passed the Bechdel test in years with anyone except Regina, but i think Jennifer is the best actor and really all of the characters have fallen to the horror that is the bad writing including Regina and Rumpel and certainly Snow who died like three years ago.

I have actually never taken part in a poll where Skin Deep didn’t win.

Yeah, it is starting to get crazy, in my opinion. This is clearly a Rumpel friendly pole because a lot of these episodes that are left, i don’t even like. Hat Trick is one of the best Emma episodes and is, in my opinion, worlds above most of this Rumpel stuff with the exception of Manhattan which while it has its Rumpel in it also has a lot of really great Bae and Rumpel as well as Emma and Bae scenes. It is more of an everybody episode then just Rumpel stuff. Seriously, Hat Trick and Snow Falls don’t make it and yet Desperate Souls and the Crocodile linger on? I am just never going to be a Rumpel fan.

    Better to say no spoilers

The problem in this fandom, is that they think No Spoilers means yes, that Maybe means yes, that yes means yes, than Hope means yes and that No means maybe, all bc A&E lied in the past, yes, tv show should let somethings be secret, but i never saw a show that treats spoilers( that sometimes may even bring fans to see) like they were some Top Secret issues that are important to the security of the world, aand even worst, whne fans on set know what he will happen, he just has to admit, not saying ome thing and then is exactly what the fans knew already.

Yeah, it is complicated. I was just saying better to say no spoilers then lie. Lying is just the worst when it comes to interacting with fandom. I sort of think that if the writers are going to hint at things then they need to be sure that it is something that is actually going to happen. I think that is one of the biggest issues with the show. Like they said no time travel, no changing the past, no bringing people back from the dead way back before they completely changed their intention for the show and if they meant those things as hard and fast rules for world building reasons, and those seem like good rules, then they should have stuck with them or they should have never said it.

Though, i do think that hope thing is a problem. Better to not answer questions about future episodes then try to trick people into watching by telling them their is hope for the character they like when there is not. I do think that once something has happened, like Neal or Robin dying, that the writers need to be like they are dead and not keep lying to people saying things like well they could come back, anything is possible, when they just mean in a flashback or a dream because that is not what people are asking.

I, definitely, agree that the writers should learn how to do spoilers a little bit better. There are ways to hint that are interesting and fun for the fandom, but the things need to actually happen. Here we have a writing team that doesn’t know what happened in the past on their own show and will change the arc of their characters mid season, even multiple times a season, so they don’t know what is going to happen, so maybe they just shouldn’t respond unless it is a well thought out hint.

I think Ginny’s pictures from set was probably the best promotion fandom stuff they have done. I still can’t believe how heavily they promoted the musical episode, releasing all the songs, and then they won’t hint at the simplest things for other episodes. It is truly bizarre promotional.

Wow, i agree though. Adam needs to not be on twitter. He has been extremely rude to individuals there and it does him no favors. Especially how in the last year he says rude things and then deletes them later on. Also, the lying i have never understood. It is just such a mistake to lie to your audience. Better to say no spoilers then lie and i will be very happy to never see him writer thanks for watching again in response to someone being upset about something that happened on the show.

I also really think we can’t know how Adam seeing the fandom talk about the show has effected the writing. There is just nothing realistic about how the fandom/shippers view the show. We all are just too invested and if the writers are thinking that the person with the personality disorder who has ten twitters and ten tumblrs and ten screen names on every platform and uses them to constantly barrage them with the same repetitive comments is like the average viewer that the show should be writing for then that is a real problem for the show.

I wonder if maybe if Regina, Rumpel, and Hook are from an alternate reality, then maybe Lucy is as well. Maybe this Lucy isn’t really this Henry’s daughter. That would explain Henry’s indifference to having a child show up at his door just like he did and say she is his daughter. Or maybe this Henry is from an alternate reality too. Maybe no one is the character’s from our world at all.

Though if just Henry is our Henry, from the world we know, then maybe Lucy came to get him and he gets pulled into the alternate reality and helps them there and meets Lucy’s mother for the first time.

The only problem is that this doesn’t allow for really old flashbacks of Rumpel and Hook. It doesn’t allow or flashbacks between this Henry and Lucy’s mother. I mean it does, but it would just be alternate reality flashbacks and therefore not important. Having the characters be alternate reality versions is so problematic because we wouldn’t care about them. It would be no different then just bringing in characters for a year that then die at the end.

Then i am back to we need more information because the alternate reality versions is so problematic storywise that i am just going to pretend it isn’t happening until we know for sure.

I am not sure if Robert would care if they killed Rumpel at this point. He has his contract after all. It is so weird that they might actually have a different version of Regina, Rumpel, and Hook. That sounds like a real mistake. Especially with Regina who would be interacting with Henry as his mother. It would just be weird to suddenly have a Regina who doesn’t know Henry. Rumpel and Hook don’t really have a relationship with Henry, so they were going to have to reinvent how they interact with Henry for the next season anyways, but Regina is Henry’s mom. It just seems weird. We will see. The actors may have no clue what they are talking about.

I do think that the show did a very bad job building side characters. It did better in Season 1 and 2 when it gave some episodes to side characters and they reentered the plot at times again. The characters actually had friends outside of the family. The way they just have random people show up at times is really silly. Like when the characters had to drink that drink to save Snow and Charming. There were just random extras in the scene. The town just doesn’t really feel peopled.

I am not sure if i could rewatch at this point. There is just too much bad in some of the later seasons. I sometimes think i need to rewatch 5B because i know i didn’t watch it very well. I think there were even parts of episodes that i just completely missed. 5A was so bad that a had very little interest. I think 6A was an interesting start, but once again nothing interesting came of it. They started interesting arcs and just did nothing with them and the end had no real connection to the beginning, so 6B was just so boring. That is the problem. The show is boring now.

Wow, Adam deleted his twitter. It is probably for the best. He just can’t help himself for some reason.

I am glad it is only ten because it would have been hard to pick fifteen of the ones left. It is hard to see An Apple Red as Blood go. I mean the scene with Snow and Regina on the hill by Daniel’s grave where Snow takes a bite of the apple is iconic. Also, the scene with Emma and Henry where Emma says she is leaving and she cries and he eats the apple to get her to stay is like heart wrenching. Those moments are just so completely epic and really get you ready for A Land Without Magic. It is really when everything hits the fan and, in my opinion, is better then the vast majority of the episodes left and better then half of the top ten.

I am thinking that in the next round there are going to be some real losses. I am surprised the finales of Season 2 are still in there as well.
