ParticipantThese writers don’t know how to do character development. Something else is going to happen. How are they even going to explain Regina, Rumpel, and Hook interacting? They all hate each other.

ParticipantAdam and Eddy want to continue no matter what. They don’t actually care about the show.

ParticipantI still don’t get how they can lose most of their female leads and continue on. Regina, alone, is not enough to carry this show. Also, all villains. I don’t really like villains, especially the ones on this show which are really inconsistent and because of that have little depth.
At least Hook fans have to deal with a show without Emma. Thank goodness all that nonsense is over.

ParticipantIt was my impression that Octavia is now considering herself part of Trikru.
I am glad Raven lived as well. I imagine that Monty is going to get her on the way past.

ParticipantI think it is similar. They tell Jennifer all these things that she can expect out of her story and her arcs and didn’t follow through with it. She would rather live closer to her family, just like Michael didn’t want to be away from his son because what they were giving him wasn’t worth it.

ParticipantJaha needs to go. There is no excuse for his character surviving this season.
Ha, i didn’t even read your spoiler until after i wrote this. He needs to go. It is time.
If they only have a 100, Jaha should not be one of them. I think i am going to be much happier with who is left after this season then i was after last season.

ParticipantI wonder if the end will be like on LOST where people still think they were dead all the time when they weren’t. Some weird this happiness could have all been in Henry’s book or Emma’s head. They have done all the things they said they wouldn’t do, but that, so maybe now they will finally do that. They act like there is some interpretation to the ending. Terrible writers.

ParticipantI think that Jennifer’s interview sounds very similar to the guy that played Will Scarlet where she felt disconnected from her life and that she needs something challenging and engaging creatively which means to me she wasn’t finding that on OUAT. She also talks about OUAT in a very superficial way and has done so for seasons except right before the dark one arc where she talked about her research for that arc on substance abuse and that ended up going nowhere.
I agree she clearly wants to move on to do different things but I haven’t seen anything where what she says can come off as a slight to OUAT. If saying the character of Emma Swan is her favorite character she’s ever played and is very special to her and saying that she loves A&E’s writing and what they do to constantly reinvent the show is talking about the show in a “superficial way” than ok…….but I just don’t think it is. To compare her to the actor who played Will Scarlet, someone who was told he would be used and then was barely used on OUAT, seems silly to me.
Well, that is fine. I don’t think it is silly. Someone who talks about their work in an articulate way no longer doing so means something. Jennifer cares if the show continues because her friends care about that. It is their job. I don’t think it means that she finds it interesting because if she did she would stay. She no longer finds the show interesting so she is leaving. She said she didn’t know how she would feel until she was asked back and the moment she was asked she had a strong feeling about what she was going to do and we know that strong feeling was that she was ready to go.
I don’t agree with the idea that she is just going to be willing to pop back in whenever to be in episodes all the time in the future.
Though, i have a hard time imagining the spending a season finding Emma. I am not suggesting something like that either.

ParticipantExcept, the problem being is that i am just repeating what Jennifer has said in the past. They invited her to be part of the season and she said no, so they aren’t letting her go to save money. They wanted to keep her and were willing to spend the money and she said no. She has talked about wanting creative control over her work in multiple interviews. She has talked about wanting to direct in multiple interviews. All we know about her possibly returning is that she has agreed to do one episode, she thinks it could be the premiere, but she doesn’t know, and it is just one episode because she wants to do other things, be with her family, not be in Vancouver, and direct.
Jennifer cares about the show continuing because some of her friends want to still be part of it. She doesn’t want it to die if it means them losing their work. Why would anyone who actually knows the cast and crew as people and cares about them as real people want that? That doesn’t mean that she isn’t ready to move on and that she is done. Is it impossible that she might return for one scene in another episode? It isn’t impossible, but that is complete speculation at this point. The facts are she has agreed to one episode and that is it.

ParticipantI think she announced because someone was going to report it and she and ABC and the show wanted to get ahead of it. It is also possible that ABC wants to see the audience’s reaction to her announcement especially after the wedding episode didn’t help the ratings at all. They may have been leaning towards renewal before the wedding episode and are now leaning toward cancellation with the lack of ratings increase and pretty much the entire fandom being well if Jennifer is gone then they are done.
