I agree that they don’t really need a mayor, but I can see Dr. Whale and Cora trying to go against whatever David tries to do. Good luck, Charming. 😉 Lol. Hopefully he gets some good advisers together to help him make decisions and delegate what needs to be done by whom, when.
[adrotate group="5"]hmverhagenParticipantLeast favorite episode. Wonderful reunion between Jefferson and Grace, awesome Emma quips, but otherwise, meh.
I think they were trying to show Emma what it would have been like for her to live in Fairytale land. They also gave us Ruth’s story, brought Henry and Charming together in purpose, and gave the us the reason that Snow knew that she would have a daughter.
Most important to note: Without the knowledge of her babies gender, Snow wouldn’t have been able to give Rumple Emma’s future name in Season 1. Thus, I don’t think Rumple could have used Emma to break the curse.
hmverhagenParticipantI think Rumple has the cup as well. To bad we don’t get to see a Troll bridge scene with Rumple/ Lance, since Lance is dead. (Aka: What is your name…? What is your quest…?) LOL. I’m kidding, I’m kidding. I know I’m not the only one thinking it.
Better question: Where does Rumple get all his awesome stuff?! Through deals, or did the curse teleport all of it to his shop?
hmverhagenParticipantI think Regina is afraid to face herself. She knows that she can change, but doesn’t know what to do with the guilt she would feel due to what she has done to everyone. Also, as mentioned, Regina has a lot of pain that hasn’t been dealt with. Being able to create unhappy endings allows her to chanel rage, and gives her a purpose that ignores her true emotions.
Secondly, Regina might feel that her book is only way that she can protect herself from a town bent on revenge. If/when Cora enters the picture, Regina would fight back, either due to fear, or the desire to be free of her mother’s influence. Since Cora is so powerful, the logical way to do so would be to use magic to counter magic.
Third, Regina loves magic. When she used the book to heal the tree, it seemed to have some kind of physical affect on her that she enjoys. Regina is lonely and feeling unloved by others, but magic does something for her.
All this said…would chasing redemption bring about Regina’s death? In order to face herself, she would have to stop using magic for a certian amount of time. If she doesn’t have magic, Regina’s a target or under her mother’s finger. However, if Regina becomes more evil thought magic, she might become more like her mother.
hmverhagenParticipantCora’s main plan is to get back to Regina. My guess is that she will try to rule through her daughter by encouraging Regina to make certian choices that Cora approves of. (Think of Cora taking Rumple’s magic tutoring job, if that helps.) Regina may not want to carry out Cora’s plans, and would attempt to go against her. In turn, Cora would resort to magic, bringing Henry into the mix, etc.
Overall, Cora and Regina’s relationship is going to be VERY complicated. Someone posted that Regina is responsible for pushing Cora into the Looking Glass. However, I don’t think anyone mentioned that Regina killed her father/Cora’s husband in order to inact the curse.
hmverhagenParticipantI thought the same thing for Jefferson’s wife.
Part of me really hopes that she is Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and that she jumped into his hat when the twister came for her. Since Oz was a dream in the original movie, they would have to find a way for Dorothy to survive being dropped hundreds of feet without dying. The hat would explain things.
hmverhagenParticipantMy guess? Regina went to Wonderland and pulled Cora and Jefferson out, and left everyone else there. Maybe she was successful in getting Jefferson to Storybrooke, but her mother somehow got to the area of Fairy Tale Land that wasn’t affected by the curse.
hmverhagenParticipantI have no idea where it went. Last I saw the hat was tossed in Emma’s car. She probably hid it from Henry because she doesn’t want him to know what Jefferson did to her.
hmverhagenParticipantDoubly Ironic: Eion was in a movie called Mind Hunters in which profilers are hunted by a serial killer. (I think he was the first to die…his legs got melted.) One of the victims is turned into a makeshift puppet. The serial killer was the guy that plays Ethan in Lost.
hmverhagenParticipantI don’t know if I like the idea that Henry is Bae’s kid. If Bae wants Rumple’s redemption, as well as Belle, as well as Henry…yeah, you get the point. I don’t want Rumple’s happy ending JUST yet.
Plus, to have Henry raised by an Evil Queen and then be related to Rumple…kinda overkill on the kid reguarding negative influences in his life.
I’d much rather have August be Henry’s dad. Maybe Emma and August ran into each other and didn’t know it. I find it rather hard to believe that he’d never go looking for her to see how she was doing.
