Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
I also noticed that certian areas of the maps he had where circled. Maybe he found some magic hotspots and thinks Bae crossed over in one of them.
I think that Regina may again try to use magic to get ride of her mother. Cora has magic as well and won’t trust Regina due to Cora’s banishment. By her own admission, Cora makes Regina mad and crazy. Because she wouldn’t see her mother coming, Regina would probably be implusive.
However, using magic will only fuel Regina’s addiction TO magic. She might need Rumple, and would hate having to work with him again. Cora could also encourage Regina to use magic to keep a hold on the town. Now that the curse is broken, people want to kill Regina, and she needs a way to protect herself from everyone.
Personally, I think that Rumple learned Regina’s name when she was a baby, and that he therefore saw that she would become the Evil Queen. That is why he was so persuasive. One day, she did do something for him: she used his curse.
This episode did cause me to question who Regina’s father is, however. Henry said that the magic man in Cora’s life was in the picture before he was…meaning that Regina might have already been born before Henry married Cora, or that Henry was unaware that Rumple held his daughter. If the latter is true, then Henry knew Cora had magic when he decided to be wed to Cora.
I think that Jefferson knows that the Enchanted Forest is still real because Regina brought him to Storybrooke from Wonderland. (Therefore, he may have passed through the Enchanted Forest or somehow seen it as they walked through his hat.) In the first episode, we saw Regina go to Storybrooke with Snow White and Prince Charming. Regina makes the comment that she brought Jefferson ‘here 28 years ago.’ Was this thought the curse or not?
Also, I believe Jefferson’s hat never worked in Hat Trick. If you watch closely, one of Jefferson’s basement windows is open behind Emma and her mom while they are talking outside. He probably crawled in because he wanted to escape…and because he want Emma to think that the hat took him somewhere else. If Emma did believe in the magic of the hat, she would know that he was the Mad Hatter, and that the curse was real.
