Then again though ABC media even said that they want more Hook on the show. There was a joke that the higher ups saw a scene and they were like “can Hook be in this” and Adam was like “it’s Henry on a swing”, and they were like “well Hook can meet Henry.” Adam laughed and considered it. It was a joke but you get what I’m saying. Couple screen time going from multiple charts shows Captain Swan had the most screen time so far(and with what happened at the end of the finale I don’t expect that to change) Snowing, Rumbelle, Swan Thief. I only found data on these 4. The media writes articles about Hook because they know that writing articles on him and Captain Swan means people(even haters) will click and comment on their articles which by default makes them more money. The traffic from these articles as they have seen goes a long way and the best part of all is you can see the track because they keep a tab on the homepage of the social media site to see which stories have the most clicks and when it comes to Hook and Emma they’re always on the top 5 easily. So I guess the point is be bitter all you want because the media knows what gives them the money, it knows what gives them the views. Ultimately in the end it’s a business and that’s the fact. Hook brings them the money, he and CS bring in the money. As far as ratings I think it’s performing very well and in an age where people no longer have to go by the TV schedule and watch it at the time it airs can watch it through multiple methods the next day.

(Hey look at that number one) just show how well these two characters are being received. CS was also nominated for a People’s Choice Award but that’s probably because all the Oncers from all the different ships decided to help with the voting despite them not being Captain Swan shippers themselves… oh wait that’s right that didn’t happen lol Yeah that didn’t happen, in fact the haters teamed up to try to get CS eliminated before the top 5 were announced. Which is kind of rude because when Rumbelle, Snowing or any other couple was nominated for anything they asked for assistance from every fandom including CS but when CS was nominated they were just bitter because it was them instead of their couple.
That’s pretty two face to me, but yeah it didn’t work and CS had over 500,000 votes in the PCA polls, we lost but we came in 3rd. Which is pretty amazing, I mean think about it this couple has only been around for less than 20 episodes yet they actually put up a fight against the likes of Klaine(glee couple for 3 seasons) and Delena(couple for 5 seasons). It’s pretty dang telling of the support of CS and the commitment to fans.

Not that I mind the pirate gear, but you’d think if everyone else managed to hit the local Storybrooke Target, he would’ve too… You’re right about the baby part…a good reason why Snowing wouldn’t be able to go. Besides, “Hi Emma, we’re your parents you don’t remember – ok, yes, we refer to ourselves as Snow White and Prince Charming, and we’re the same age as you, and look, you have a sibling!” seems to be enough for Emma to call to transport these folks to the looney bin…even more than some crazy pirate!
Hook being in his normal pirate gear is also a reason I believe that he’s not cursed like the others. I mean Robin Hood has on normal clothes in the gurney scene(more on that later). He escaped in time before the curse happened which is why I believe that in FTL he found a way back to our world and to Emma. What means he used and why it was him chosen is a mystery but it will be revealed via flashback during the back half. He found her ultimately in the end and on a show where TL always finds one another, always fights it’s pretty dang telling. Goodness knows how long he spent searching for her but he thought of her every day proven by the face he made upon seeing her again, you can tell he kept his word. Plus he had a year to move on I have seen many here state that Hook is not in love with Emma. Well he had a year to move on without seeing her and instead his love not only grew for her, he ultimately searched and transcended realms and found her in the end. So you tell me if Hook is in love with Emma now?
As for the whole gurney situation, I think people are just desperate to know what’s going on with Neal or Rumple but realistically speaking I don’t think the person on the gurney is either individual, I believe it’s Roland.
Robin Hood being at the forefront is a dead give away just look at his face, just look at the panic. That’s a man concerned for his blood, his family. Neal is not Robin’s family. Neal is nothing to Robin, not even a friend, acquaintance at best. He helped Neal to pay a debt, once the debt was paid they parted ways. They spent their small number of episodes butting heads because Neal wanted to use Roland as bait to the shadow and Robin wasn’t letting that happen.
As for why Hook and Charming are there if it’s Roland? It’s a toddler on a stretcher, I think any human being is gonna be concerned over the well being of an injured child in a hospital. Hook and Charming are in the background because they’re not intended to be the focus, Robin is. Hook and Charming are probably there because Robin’s their friend and they’re showing him support which I’m sure he needs if his son just got hurt and they don’t know what happened or what did this to him. If it was Neal they would all be where Robin is and Robin wouldn’t even be there.
As for why it’s Roland? I think that has to deal in part to the Robin and Regina romance, because this show LOVES parallels and you all know they do especially within the present and past of the same episode. I believe Regina and Robin met, likely because Roland whom may have been injured and ultimately Regina saves him and that may be what happens in the present as well. Since Whale doesn’t know what happened or who did this to him, Regina may be the only one that can save him again.
Oh Stelio, that’s priceless!!! Considering that Neal always maintains that facial expression, think of all the Gifs we can create with it. I made the mistake of going on the ratings thread and saw a whole page of “we hate Hook” dialogue. That combined with what I saw of the chat last night really makes me appreciate everyone who contributes to the CS page. BTW, @hookian, kudos to you for keeping your cool last night on the chat. I was in bed fuming for a good hour after I read what went on there.
Absolutely and I feel I was patient. I tried to start convos but what was dismissed rather quickly which I thought was ridiculous.
Oh the ratings thread, yeah I left a little message. If people want to be bitter about Hook than be bitter but it’s not gonna change because ABC knows what brings in the money and so does the media. They have professionals paid to mark trends and they know what topic is a fire topic and a sure way to get traffic to their articles and by in default make money.
What is also funny is that people cannot admit at all that Emma WAS jealous of Tinkerbell which she was, I’m sorry. I have never seen a CS deny that Emma loves Neal(just not in a romantic way anymore) but really they’ll do anything to show that Hook does not love Emma or that Emma doesn’t have romantic feelings for Hook.
Especially when it was so blatant she was jealous.

I decided to be somewhat brave and get on tumblr but I’m sticking to following blogs that I’ve seen before or of people from here that have similar ideas — and thanks to you and @Obisgirl, I have to follow teenwolfmixtapes.tumblr.com because she posts some of the funniest stuff ever… @Hookian, Yeah, I saw that chat you referenced the other day and jumped in a bit. It got a little rough. I got a little overwhelmed with the “A&E said so-and-so” but afterward I realized, yeah, A&E probably did say that – but for every pro-SF thing they’ve said, they’ve said a pro-CS thing! Because the statement just causes whichever group to go nutty and all nuttiness over the show is good nuttiness if you’re the EPs!! It’s easier to just stay here. Sometimes I do check out the SF thread, because I do want to check out other points of view, but when it gets too anti-Hook I jump back out. Just like I’d invite any CFers to come read our thread and if it’s too anti-Neal for them, back out. I think overall, most of us here don’t actually dislike Neal, it’s just that we’d like to see the Neal/Emma storyline wrapped up and MRJ given a better storyline than just being a foil for CS.
Actually I joined the convo because that girl had no idea what she was talking about. A and E never ever said anything that she was stating.
She was stating made up things as facts just to make SF look more appealing and it did not slide. Like posting a stupid theory about Hook working for the WW as fact when it’s not.
It’s just some very out there crack theory. Which she can post I guess but if she’s gonna quote A & E then she needs to back it up with a source and I can assure you a and e never said the things she’s claiming they did.
@hookian – I’ve been thinking he’s Eugene as well (this thought won’t let me go), but the problem I have about that is that the casting call for Rapunzel was for a 14 year old or something. UGH. I need March now.
Tangled is not the Rapunzel story though, I’m sure this is going down the fairy tale route which is not Tangled the disney movie.
Well when they were filming the Rapunzel episode they said that there was somebody else(a male) filming with them which they would not say whom it was. Likely in this scenario that means the character was Gorhams character. They didn’t want to reveal that it was him.
I swear if Gorham is gonna be the “Kathryn” character for Emma and Hook, I’m gonna be real mad. But he’s a series regular on another show so I doubt he’s here for long.
He may be Rapunzels prince though.
The reason why Hook is sent is quite simple.
For one I think that Snow and Charming are going to find out what exactly Neal did to Emma in the past and it’s hopefully going to stop Snow pushing Emma towards Neal.
As for why it’s Hook that goes and nobody else, it’s a mystery but to me Tink likely contributed. Perhaps gave him pixie dust? Perhaps he just decided he was going to go no matter what and likely whatever the reason is the writers chose it to be strictly him and I suspect we’re gonna see exactly why and what means he used to get back to her in the back half via flashback.
The important thing is he found her and he spent an entire year thinking about her and likely spent just as long trying to find a way back to her.
Whatever the case was he believed that they were true love, so much to the point that he tried true loves kiss on her after seeing her. Probably not aware that on this show the cliche for 3 seasons now is TLK will not work when memory loss is present.

I like Neal as Neal. I really do hope he finds his happy ending but I don’t want it to be Emma. Emma deserves an EPIC love story. No offense to Neal, he loves her but doesn’t LOVE her like Hook does.
Yeah and the cray cray theories going on to try to undermine Hook’s love for Emma. Like Hook being sent by the witch? I mean really. 😆
