Well in the RPG world, a sword is not just a sword especially when there is some magical context applied. Apparently, this is actually a magic (read light-weight) sword with a dragon slaying buff of +200% and dexterity bonus +10 (would explain the record number of critical hits (or near hits) with rookie fighters even when be thrown). 😀

It the sword had disappeared with EQ than it would have skewered her. The reason you don’t see the sword after the special effect is because it would hit the floor…. charming ain’t that strong.

Yeah, there was a time…. the season 1 finale. Admittedly, she had less choice in the matter what with Emma knowing about the curse and about to beat her to a pulp if she didn’t help.

Rumpel and Emma are outside of a royal ball event that Emma must infilrate, Emma is dressed in her usual red and black leather attire.
Rumpel looks at the fairytale dress of the guests inside.
    Rumpel: Wait, I almost forgot.
Emma looks at Rumpel askance saying “What?!”
*Poof, Emma’s attire is not changed to a frilly, cool pink, princess dress
Emma looks at herself in shock and give a incredulous look to Rumpel, “Really?!”
Rumpel: “I think the pink suits you, dearie” *Rumpel giggle*

Or when he started to go by August. Maybe in the interests of protecting himself and Emma from ole Queeny, he made up a name from the get go. Also, I can’t imagine anybody believing the kid if he said his real name was Pinocchio. It is also quite possible that August isn’t the name he used in the modern world either; just the one he gave Emma.

I wonder if August was something of a con-artist. Sounded like he had some money to be vacationing and living it up on the other side of the world. I definitely didn’t get the impression he lived an honest life. Then again, maybe he was a writer and he basically wrote new versions of the old fairytales as they really happened… from what little he had learned. (I really doubt this)

Oh God. Well I do have to wonder why he didn’t seek some revenge against Belle’s father, but perhaps he was too distracted with his big curse plans with events surrounding the PC/SW/EQ heating up.

Well, I would imagine Emma will probably end up calling her Mary Margaret or hopefully Mom before too long.
