ParticipantHi CaptainSwanners,
I am new to this board so forgive me if I have mentioned themes and opinions already discussed in this thread. I just wanted to proclaim my obsession for this ship and I want it to sail in future seasons!
I have much hope for Hook redeeming himself after watching “The Evil Queen” as you have all mentioned. He is slowly realizing that his revenge does not complete a void, but rather just gives his life a grim conclusion. Since he feels that he has no one in his life that cares for him, I would love to see how he cares for characters in upcoming eppies, especially with the concerned look on his face after Tamara pulls out the list. (I know I don’t have to go in detail about this scene any further, as every Oncer noticed it regardless of whether you like Hook or not).
Does the CS fangirl in me squee, wishing and hoping he is concerned for Emma? *shrugs* I mean, correct me if I am wrong, but he is not aware of Emma’s white magic. I still think he does not want Storybrooke to self-destruct primarily because of Emma, and secondarily because it would be wrong….but maybe I’m grasping at straws here.
What I want to see is a slow and gradual building up of their friendship and sexual tension. I agree with others who have said that he would have to do quite a grand gesture of selflessness to be even a blip on Emma’s radar.
I still think the writers are exploring the possibility of SwanFire, based on recent interactions with Neal (“Do I look like a jealous ex?” hahaha). But, there still needs to be a convo between them exploring all the reasons Neal left her and what she went through. She knows the gist from Manhattan, but I still feel there is an exchange that is missing.
So, cutting my ramblings short, I think Hook will be in Emma’s life in some form in season 3. Do I think he will be her true love? That is up to debate. Do I want them to be? HELL YES.
They are kindred spirits and their lives have many glaring parallels.
I am not sure if this is a spoiler, but I heard that Hook's backstory will be further explored in season 3.
I’d certainly like to see Killian Jones, the man.
Sidenote: obisgirl, I am melting over your avatar right now! *faceplant on laptop*
I am finished. Thanks for reading this roundabout way in which I talk about CS. lol *salutes*

ParticipantWe all know that characters’ Storybrooke names seem to have significant ties to their fairytale selves (ie, Mr. Gold – Rumple makes gold, Mary Margaret Blanchard – Blanc = white, etc.)
So…..I have been pondering the significance of Greg’s name for the longest time, ever since his name was mentioned. For those of you who can dust the mental cobwebs from biology class, Gregor Mendel was a monk who did experiments on peapods and discovered genetic inheritance. I always wondered how genetics would tie into Owen’s story.
After Sunday’s eppy, my brain went into overdrive, especially when Greg mentions that science is much better than magic. Could Greg be doing some type of science experiment on the fairytale characters that he and Tamara are hoping to hunt down? Could he possibly be testing them to see how magic is inherited or acquired, if it is? Do you need to have a genetic predisposition in order to learn magic? I don’t think tagteam duo is going to kill them off just yet. What I also thought was interesting is that Leroy expressed his concern of outsiders coming into Storybrooke after the curse was broken…specifically he is afraid of what experiments would be run on beings like Red, or a dwarf if the outside world knew about this place…a possible foreshadowing? 😯
Hmm….thoughts?
