I get that Colin is attractive, but I feel there is some major defect in me. I’ve never got that rabid slavering that most of the other women in fandom have gotten for him. I guess everyone is different. He is very attractive, I know that, but he’s not at the top of my list if I were compiling one on the OUAT men. Maybe I just have very odd tastes.
Nah, everyone has their own tastes. I get it.

What about Eion Bailey? August is one character I think looks much better with facial hair. He’s attractive without it, but much more so with it.
Yes, he is VERY attractive with the facial hair. I concur! I believe there was a discussion about him with facial hair, but it might have been in the Captain Swan thread. I mentioned how amazing he looks with facial hair there when I first started talking about the study lol.

Charming: Stubble – he looks like a boy without it and with it – yuk.
He does have boyish looks, but I like him either way.
@sacrlc wrote:
RC: No beard makes him enigmatic – pure Rumple. Everything else has him melting into whatever character role he is playing. I had no idea that was him in some of the movies shown here. wow!
Agree here 100% Enigmatic is the perfect word.

Colin: Stubble –
I have to confess, as the season progressed and the more I think about it, Colin/Hook is the hottest looking guy on the show. This from an “old” woman who prefers men in my own age range. (fans herself – rapidly). Can’t say that I disagree with you. The moment I saw him in “Crocodile” I died. Then after I recovered, I quickly googled him and watched movies/interviews he’s been in. ๐ Hook is my favorite character now, but I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he looks AMAZINGLY, DEVASTATINGLY handsome in his pirate garb…nope, not at all. ๐
But beyond the hotness, he does have an incredible amount of talent!

Prepare to die of Colin sexiness again. No video of Colin singing or playing the guitar, but these babies popped up on tumblr earlier this evening. New black and white pics of Colin singing and playing the guitar. Not sure what he’s singing, but do WE REALLY care? ๐ ๐
I don’t care if he is singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,” he’ll look just as amazing doing it. Thanks so much for sharing these pics. Like, thanks A BILLION. *swoons* ๐

It is very sickening.
I hate to say it, but what happens online, even if you’re not talking directly face to face to a person, it makes an impression. Like I don’t understand how some people still cannot grasp this concept.
What if I met you offline and remembered some of the awful things you did online and assumed that’s who you are in real life (when actually you’re a very nice person in reality)? How would that make you feel?
Not very good. That’s why compassion towards other people, even online, counts.
Yeah, unfortunately, people think it’s okay to be vicious online because of the anonymity and lack of repercussions they’ll have to deal with. You are absolutely right that online comments can profoundly affect people even if there is no face to go along with the words. Words have weight.
Best thing we can do is represent ourselves online in the best way we can and lead by example. And, I certainly have no qualms and defending people that are cyber-bullied. *raises sleeves up, takes earrings off*
I have always had a really soft spot for the “underdog” but who doesn’t?

This bothers me. A fellow Oncer I follow on tumblr found out her Nana died, and then she gets kicked while she’s still down by other Oncers and I’m like ๐ฏ ๐ฎ Seriously, what happened to compassion for your fellow human being?
I don’t want to name names because I don’t know who’s been stalking her blog but if someone close to you died and I didn’t know your personally, I would still want to give you a cyber hug and offer my condolences. Because that’s the compassionate thing to do.
Just because we ‘ship differently, doesn’t mean we have to be total ๐ ๐ฟ to other people when they’re down or something bad is happening in real life.
Omg. Seriously? Where has the humanity gone in some people? I question the sanity of these said people sometimes because they are clearly taking this shipping war to a whole new level and for the lack of a better term, it is a level of evil.
I can’t imagine what this girl must be feeling with her Nana gone, and to have senseless hatred from strangers come her way on top of it? *shake head* My condolences to her and my heart truly goes out to her.
This is beyond belief. I feel like kicking something. ๐ฟ

Just saw this Neal/Charming parallel on tumblr for Tallahassee- we’ve pretty much done the CS/Snowing parallels to death so I wont re-post those ๐ This parallel adds to CS, so those still unsure don’t panic ๐
celticmoonbeams: The flashbacks w/Neal clearly are for contrast w/Killian & showing why Emma does what she does in the end. Showing the emotional damage inflicted on her & establishing what she really needs. But, thereโs also something else. Neal is Emmaโs Abigail/Kathryn. Emma met Neal at a point in her life where she was just trying to survive like Charming was when Rumple came to his farm & got him to take the place of his dead twin brother. While Emma developed feelings for Neal, it was born out of necessity. Neal saving both of them from the cop, the Bonnie & Clyde act for survival, the wanting to settle down for a home in Tallahassee. All are parallels to the deal that Charming got into. To save the farm & kingdom (his home aka the settling down in Tallahassee & establishing a home), the gold promised for slaying the dragon (for the survival of the people of the kingdom & the farm aka the thieving for survival), the hand of Abigail thrown into the mix (a marriage/relationship thatโs forged for said survival aka how Emma & Neal even met), the dream of Charmingโs to marry for love & love alone (aka the dream of Emmaโs for a home & the dreamcatcher). As it had been for cursed Charming where his relationship to Kathryn was based on duty, thatโs the parallel to Neal. Itโs based on the duty to Henry as Nealโs his father.
I hadn’t really thought about the flashbacks in this context, very interesting take on them ๐
full post here – http://celticmoonbeams.tumblr.com/post/40355734674/tallahasse-episode-analysis-a-giant-cs-snowing-parallelAhh, very interesting indeed. I have heard people make references to Neal as Emma’s Abigail/Kathryn, but not quite in this way or this in-depth. I think this is a great parallel and one we would easily fail to see unless we take a closer look at pairings and what has happened between them. On the theme of duty, I felt it was a duty for Emma and Neal to say “I love you” before he got sucked into the portal. We have discussed this before, but not in this light. It was rather a formality of sorts to bring closure to his “passing.” It was more of a “I’m sorry” and “goodbye” than “I love you.” The way Neal also says it is rather meh. Almost like how a parent would say it to a child in response.
Thanks for sharing this!
