I have another theory. That is probably way out in left field, but when I put together all of my obsessive clues I think it makes sense. 😆 Okay here it is, bear with me.
I think that the outsider did see something when he hit Hook… I think he seen his hook! What normal person walks around with a hook on the end of their arm if they loss their hand? None that I’ve seen. If the Outsider was looking for something like magic he would notice something like that. I think the Outsider talks to Belle in the next episode about what she seen and then some how abducts Hook which because of his injuries should be easy. So that he can ‘Study him to death’. Which would make the Hook lovers more sympathetic and the non Hook lovers very happy that it was happening to him. 😆 It would also help explain his (outsiders) name being the same as a scientist. Now I’m not really sure how Hook would get away… maybe he finds a way on his own or maybe some of the storybrooke people save him?
Now on to my reasons… The last episode that Hook has been seen filming (at least that we have pictures for) was Tiny. They are being really hush hush about the Outsider AND Hook. Colin is still in Vancouver as he posted on his twitter a few days ago. Colin also only follows people that he has worked closely with on the show. Him and the person that plays Belle are the only two of the cast that follow the guy that plays the Outsider on twitter. He also follows them. The other day the guy that plays the Outsider made a joke about who his character was and Colin retweeted it… so he probably knows who he really is. For my last reason, I don’t see them introducing the Outsider for only two episodes just to do it… there is a bigger picture there.
What do you all think? I’m obsessed right? Disclaimer: I woke up with this thought in my head this morning.

SwanHook wouldn’t that be awesome! I would love him with Emma. 😀
Swanning-Off 😆 😆 😆 “ZOMG!!!!! Iz Hook dedz?!?!?!?!” That was me until I realized the same thing that SwanHook has mentioned and what you said. It is all about the perspective. But I was fine after I found out that Peter Pan is one of the creators favorite story tales, so I can’t see them getting rid of one of their favorite characters. 😀
I don’t think the question is about whether Hook is ok. I think Toothfairy was asking about the actor.

On Colin’s fan page someone asked how his leg was doing as well today, so maybe he got hurt?
Do you have a link to that?

It is under his post that says: My tweets should now appear on facebook! Hello facebook!
But he hasn’t answered the person that asked, so I don’t know how ‘real’ it is.
I know she was asking about the actor himself which is why I answered with that information about his leg as well as the interview information.

jasperannParticipantThat isn’t what I got out of the interview. Except for the happy stories thing. I got that they are not going to give us what we want, but what we need. 😆 I am all for angst and drama… happy is boring on TV. Although in real life, I prefer Happy to Angsty. 😉
I was happy to hear the the writers do see a spark between Emma and Hook which means they will have more scenes together. Can’t wait for that to be explored. It also means that when Neal comes back it will not be happily ever after with out some drama. 😀
jasperannParticipantWe have a lot in common when it comes to Once. I too just joined because I just had to post on something after lurking for about 2 weeks. 😆 I’ve acquired a lot of posts since then (2 days ago) because I just can’t shut up…
jasperannParticipantThank you everyone!! TheGoldenKey, I am not from Jasper Alberta.. When I was a teenager I played D&D with some of my guy friends and Jasperann was my characters name. 😆 It just stuck I guess. I find it even funnier since Twilight came out and had a character named Jasper. 🙄 😆
jasperannParticipantI had pointed out that Rumple saying he was going to kill Hook if he stayed had a reaction from Emma. I know a lot of you don’t think that I wasn’t on the right path or thinking the right thing. But I just got done listening to an Interview with Jane Espenson from last night (Blog TV I think). Acaller actually asked her about it during the show and she said that was a good catch and more would be revealed later. I personally can't wait to see how it turns out…maybe Emma has some feelings for Hook she hasn't realized and Rumple can sense it? I am so reaching here… 😆 😆 😆
I just really wanted to share what I had heard.
jasperannParticipantI will always hold out hope for Hook and Emma. Because I enjoy seeing a ‘bad boy’ ‘trying’ to do better. Kinda like Spike on Buffy. He was so evil when he came on and he only had revenge on his mind. He had his ‘true love’ Drusilla and he really loved her, but she died. Then he ended up falling in love with Buffy and trying to change for her, which didn’t always work out well for him. 😆 I can remember tons of people hating on him and NEVER thinking he would be with Buffy. Jane Espenson was a writer for Buffy too, so I always have hope! That and the creators of the whole series gave me Pacey and Joey when I was a teen!! They too like the bad boys. 😆
I don’t see Hook as a one dimensional character. I think he has tons of depth. I can understand where he is coming from. Can he be a bully? Sure. But you need to think what Milah said about her husband to him, I’m sure it wasn’t that good. Being a coward in that time/place made you an outcast I don’t think that Hook was acting any differently than Rumple would have been treated by anyone else. I actually applaud him for offering to fight for her, he gave Rumple a chance to get his wife back. If you think about it, even now, if someone were to leave their husband and/or kids the new guy isn’t just going to step aside, especially if the guys wife left him. I think that Milah leaving Rumple the way she did says more about her than it does Hook. Because Hook was just a way out, she would have done it eventually even with out Hook’s help. I guess I just don’t understand all the hate I see posted about his character. He’s a pirate, he is suppose to be crass and cocky… and confidant. I just love his character even with all the flaws. Even with him doing evil things.
I always like the bad guys, which is probably why I like the Queen, Cora, and Rumple too. 😆 My hubby says I’m wired differently.

I do think down the road, the path to forgiving Gold for Neal is realizing the parallels between Henry and himself and Gold. Like, “here I am telling my son this, but I’m not listening to my own words.” I think Gold and Neal are going to have to live in the same town for quite a while before anything can be patched up.
Neal seems like he is longing for a family, and I can’t see him abandoning Henry, especially if he feels like he was abandoned by his own parents. Experiencing fatherhood would give Neal a new perspective on his father’s feelings too. I could see great potential for it to bring them together. I’m sure Henry will want Neal in his life. He sounded very curious about his father when he asked Emma in season 1.
Whatever they do I hope they don’t have Emma and Neal get back together like nothing happened… They have so much they need to figure out AND deal with. It would also go against what the writers have been saying to us through the characters. Like:
Belle: You fight for what you want and never give up.
Hook: If you don’t fight for what you want you deserve what you get.
Mulan: You have to find something worth fighting for.(all of those are generally what they said not exactly.)
In my opinion Neal didn’t fight for what he wanted he walked away. Now my opinion may change when I find out what was in the box, but really what could it have been to make him leave the one person he loved most without a fight? So now I want to see him fight for what he wants, I don’t want it to be easy. If they do it right I think I would be okay with it.
I also want to see how Emma explains to Henry why she told him his dad was dead. Did she really think he was dead because she didn’t find him in Tallahassee in those two years? Did she become a ‘bounty hunter’ because she was trying to find Neal? Was Neal someone she just couldn’t find? Or did she become a ‘bounty hunter’ so that she could track down bad guys like she thought Neal actually was? As a sort of pay back for him turning on her. I hope they (the writers) touch on these things.
Those things don’t even touch on all the questions I will have when we find out 100% that Neal is Bae. That adds Rumple in the equation, tons of story possibilities. 😆
