ParticipantOhhhh, I love it PoM!
I want him in modern clothes but I want them to do it right. Sometimes I seriously question the SB outfits, especially MM’s…so whoever dresses her should NOT dress Killian! 🙂 I listed some of my rules (yes, that’s only some of them) on the thread. tee hee.

ParticipantI’M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!
1) OUAT needs to totally rip off Sleepy Hollow’s tight jeans scene. Like, word for word.
2) Keep the coat. Or get some kind of modern version of it.
3) NO PLAID. Colin can wear plaid. Killian cannot.
4) Get rid of the big rings. Keep the thumb one, I like it for some reason. Same with the chain.
5) I’m on the fence about henleys.
6) I swear to God if they stick him in some sweater like Eric’s ‘working down at the cannery’ sweater, I will drive to Steveston and smack someone.
Yes, I’ve given this subject some thought. Ok, a lot of thought. 🙂

ParticipantI’m very curious to see SDCC this year…I think since the finale we’ve actually seen Jen Morrison snap and say “screw it. I’m going to answer these incessant ship and Hook vs Neal vs Regina questions honestly and openly”. No, no Emma wouldn’t have gotten back together with Neal; spin it however you want, but he did assist in sending a pregnant 17 year old girl to prison for his own crimes. No, Emma and Regina aren’t getting together (Regina IS her step-grammy afterall). Emma IS with Hook, and DOES have feelings for him.
And I think we have some of the anti-CS & anti-Hook fans to thank for that! If they weren’t so loud and obnoxious and just TRASHING the actors/writers at every single turn, arguing that they’re misleading this ship, and that ship by being vague, and they’re insulting this ship and that ship by telling the audience how it is, they would probably continue with the good ol’ media ‘wait and see!’ standard. You NEVER get real answers from writers/actors for any show! They always give you the same old spin and tiny teases to keep you watching. But with each interview and con since the finale, Jen has gotten more blunt about what we’ve seen and what she thinks we have to look forward to. So…hey, if your hate’s going to keep getting us CSers what we want! – well, I still want the hate to stop, it’s utterly ridiculous and hurtful for no reason. But thanks anyway, kids.

ParticipantI agree, what sets someone like Pan aside, is the fact that there is little motivation needed for him to do what he feels needs to be done so his own needs and desires are met – no matter who or what suffers as a result. But to me, this doesn’t make Pan less of a villain than, say, Cora – it makes him far more dangerous.
Rumple, Cora, Regina, Hook – as villains their motivation was still rooted in their love for others (Cora may be especially twisted but I think she was actually motivated by love – where Regina was concerned). Were their actions correct, honest, honorable? No. Were they dangerous? Extremely. But it was also extremely easy to learn and understand what their weakness was.
What’s Pan’s weakness? Certainly not family. Certainly not love – he showed he truly loved no one other than himself when he ripped out Felix’s heart…that action also showed his problems with Rumple weren’t because he was ‘stuck’ with the child. I guess you could say his selfishness – but that’s a difficult motivation to try to thwart. While I think the others did probably still have their breaking points – granted, some did some seriously evil stuff to reach that limit – I really don’t think Pan had any limits. He would do, kill, exploit, hurt anyone necessary to achieve his goals. To me, that’s what makes him the most vicious – and the most evil of the villains.

ParticipantBoy this thread is slow going. Guess I’ll have to start posting pretties.

Typically I’m not all into the Daddy!Killian & Mommy!Emma stuff (I can’t help it, once I had my own kid, baby storylines got boring! 🙂 ) but I did think this one was pretty cute. I think it’s the hat.
It is slow going. But filming starts in 2 days!! Hopefully we’ll get some good pics we can start speculating about. And SDCC is coming up…if ABC will ever announce the panel & who’s going to be on it…!

ParticipantHmmm…I like it WR! One thing I like about magic in OUAT – you can use it for selfish reasons (unlike say the show Charmed). Emma like the others would be tempted- really, who.wouldn’t? I would love to.poof me up my own personal maid myself! – abd she may even dabble in dark magic should there be no choice but I thinkshe would REALLY need to be stuck between a rock and a hard place to do so. I think if say, she were put in a situation like Neal’s, Emma still probably would choose not to.use dark magic because her motivation tends to be ‘for the greater good’…although with Emma finally coming to terms with her home and family that just might change

ParticipantI just saw a great/sad gif in the SF thread…and it reminded me, how could I forget one of my absolute favorite crackships!!!! Wendy & Bae! Oh, I loved them.
(Don’t get me wrong, SF is like, my 6th favorite ship and all, but seriously, I think my head would’ve exploded if Wendy had been his first love but he lost her and then fell in love with Tink once he’s all grown up. BellFire!!! I know SF means no Henry and whatevs…)

ParticipantOk, so…
1) Zelena is just unhinged. And I think she would’ve been regardless of whether her father emotionally abandoned her, Dorothy did or did not come along and ‘threaten’ Z’s place with the other witches in Oz, or even if Rumple felt Z could/could not be the Mills daughter to eventually enact the SB curse.
As said, it appears Z grew up in a fairly loving household. Her mother (adoptive, I don’t consider Cora her mother, more like her incubator) obviously loved her. Her father was probably always distant, and I assume his distance is part of the reason she was so eager to please. But if that situation was as bad as it got, she still had a far better childhood than….almost every other lead character on OUAT, villain or hero.I don’t know if the Oz arc were prolonged and Z better fleshed out, we would still consider her unhinged or truly motivated for her actions – my assumption is that I would not. I would’ve liked to see more but again, if her childhood until she left her father was the way it was presented, on this show where villains are made, not born, she still would’ve been the first villain to truly test that theory and her motivation lie in the fact that she’s – for lack of a better word – off her rocker. With such little motivation, to me she presents as the least predicable and biggest threat of any of the villains to date. If she comes back, I would like to see her be just flat out nuts.
2) I think their venture ‘into’ Oz was more successful than NL. We were told we weren’t really going to Oz, so the fact that much of the original story isn’t present didn’t bother me. What we did see kept me interested, and I liked it. 3B wasn’t about Oz, it was about one of the characters in Oz, with snippets of other Oz traits, but the story took place in Storybrooke, and for that, I was glad to see them back in what’s become their home town. Had they actually BEEN in Oz, I would’ve been disappointed – as I was with NL.

Let’s say Rumple did not kill Zelena. 1) Would she have taken the second chance offered to her? and 2) What would that have looked like?I don’t believe Z was capable of taking Regina’s second chance – see above (she’s a freaking whack-a-do). The reason characters such as Rumple, Regina, Hook were able to be redeemed (and it would take a lot but I think Cora could’ve been redeemed as well) was because their initial motivations were, at it’s core, based on love/family/home. Z might say her initial motivation is lack of home, or because her sister had everything she wanted, but I don’t believe this is actually true – she never once stopped to try to bond with Regina, she never actually listened to Regina to see that her life wasn’t all that enviable – she pretty much went off the deep end. So although she might even try to take that second chance, I think she is incapable of true redemption. I think the same stands for Pan – his villiany was rooted in purely selfish motivations – and I think because he willingly gave up his family for purely selfish reasons, he, too could not be redeemed. Which makes them, in my opinion, are more dangerous than even Rumple, Regina, or any of the other villians we’ve seen before. (And why I would LOVE to see either/both of them again! Can you even imagine Pan and Zelena working together – holy warpath!!)
