Awesome….I love Grumpy! I guess he’s hoping she’s the WW of the W…East seems a little trickier to get rid of…
[adrotate group="5"]Jenna_BParticipantGeez RG you just blew my whole theory out of the water! 🙂
Jenna_BParticipantI actually hope Neal ISN’T in the woods….
A year has gone by. Belle already told Neal she doesn’t believe Rumple is dead…after Snowing’s speech about Emma & Henry (if Neal bought it, and considering it was a pretty cruddy speech, that’s a big if, but I digress) Neal might believe he can’t immediately get to Emma/Henry, but Belle might be able to talk Neal into finding the rest of his family – his father. So I’m kind of hoping Neal & Belle didn’t get caught up in the curse because they weren’t in the kingdom — they were off on their search for Rumple.
Unless, of course, Rumple is under the WW’s control and she’s got him tucked away somewhere inside the kingdom…ok, there goes that theory.
OK – Neal AND Belle are in the woods, but it might take some time for the others to find them because they’re hot on the trail of figuring out what happened to Rumple and where Rumple might be.
Regardless, as amusing as it could be I’m assuming at least that he’s 1) not captured by the WW and 2) not monkey.
Jenna_BParticipantHaha, yes, to clarify – when I say I want to see “it” I mean, I want to see Emma consciously recognize and express her feelings for Hook, and the declaration of her feelings. I want to see Hook’s face when she tells him she has feelings for him. I want to see their first ‘this is really happening’ kiss. I can do without seeing “IT” per se… 🙂
Of course, if we get a CS scene reminiscent of Snowing’s ‘tacos’ scene…I’m not going to complain…tee hee.
Jenna_BParticipantI don’t doubt at all that Hook is jealous…and he definitely fails to keep it out of his tone, but I think the reason he worded it the way he did is because he knows Emma is already under enough stress and pressure with the curse. He knows Emma is going to do everything in her power to save everyone. And let’s be honest – does the town as a whole need her, or Neal? Neal has proven to be very capable and very driven. Hook knows this as well as, or better, than anyone. He knows if Neal is alive, Neal will find a way to get back to his family. I think the line is Hook’s way of alleviate some of the burden he knows Emma is going to take onto her shoulders by reassuring her that Neal will either be saved in conjunction with Emma’s work to save the town from the curse, or, if he’s separated for some other reason, he WILL figure out a way to get to wherever the family is.
Jenna_BParticipantHonestly, for overall storytelling purposes, I hope it ISN’T Emma who has to break the curse. I hope it’s Regina. They’re setting up the Big Bad to be Regina’s nemesis, so if then it’s Emma who has to break the curse? They’re going to have to do an EXCELLENT job trying to explain to me how that works. I want the fight against the WW to be led by Regina, and Emma to be Regina’s #2. I know, parallels and throw backs and flashbacks — which is all great and everything, but really, Lana’s earned this – she deserves to have a quality storyline, not just be there to set everything up so Emma can save the day. I would LOVE if the parallel was that she saves Henry with TLK.
In regard to CS – I have to watch the sneak peek again, but I know lots of folks are saying Hook is angry that Emma asks about Bae (ok, maybe these folks aren’t CSers… 😉 ). To me, his line about Neal was loaded with emotion and the feeling of being overwhelmed. How he feels about Emma, how Emma feels about him, how he feels about Bae, how Bae feels about him…it’s a lot to handle. And then there’s Hook’s innate desire to be strong for Emma, yet allow her to make her own choices…I definitely didn’t get the whole idea that A&E have just swept Captain Fire under the rug and pretend their past didn’t happen or wasn’t as important as they established it being in S2.
Jenna_BParticipantRGF- HOLY CRAP I’VE SEEN THE WHOOPIE THEORY BUT NEVER REALLY THOUGHT IT COULD BE TRUE UNTIL I READ YOUR POST!!!! seriously I’m sitting here at work trying not to look like a ridiculously excited fangirl. It’s an epic fail.
But honestly I kind of hope they didn’t because if they pull a “surprise” a la Booth/Bones and Sara/Grissom I am going to be seriously PO’d!!! Yeah, I wanna see it! that it happened behindthe scenes stuff is crap.
My new headcannon- and I haven’t seen sneak peek 2 yet so it might already be proven wrong – Killian did stay there all night. They did talk all night. Emma maybe even voiced her feelings to Kilian, giving him that lil swagger walking in the next morning…but stopped just short of the ‘fun’ Hook promised….
Jenna_BParticipantI also think it’s significant, even with false memories, Emma still remembers Neal abandoning her and at some point, chose to tell Henry and Henry brought up that ‘not every guy is going to be like his dad’ and leave her. Of course, he was actually referring to Walsh but you can tell, Emma was really thinking about the sexy pirate in black and who he might have been to her in another life. But this whole leaving Emma, the jail thing, there’s a reason why it keeps being brought up. Neal leaving was a big reason for her walls and continues to be, even in the fake life in New York. SwanFire really cannot work if Emma still has walls concerning him, and since she is back in Storybrooke and I assume, Neal is too — it still will not be an easy reunion. The only person Emma does not have walls with, is Hook.
Obisgirl, I’m going to marry your post. 🙂 It’s so true…the more I think about it, the more I love their interactions in 3/12. Especially the table scene – how they are so completely comfortable with each other, even when discussing the soon-to-be-ex-monkey-man-boyfriend.
I was kind of surprised they mentioned the whole ‘Neal sent me to jail’ thing. The entire episode implied there were things in their subconscious they remembered. You would think, then, that given the relatively positive nature of their relationships with Neal before SB went poof, the memories of Neal would perhaps be more neutral. That though they didn’t remember meeting him in NY the year before, the suppressed memories would lead them to develop the false memories of discussions regarding Henry’s father less angry. Instead, both of them are still VERY hostile about Neal. And after Emma remembers everything, is there even mention of Neal? Clearly that was done on purpose.
Jenna_BParticipantThe only reason I think Emma could be wary of Regina is if they had a little ‘heart to heart’ about Henry not having his memories, and Emma wanting to keep them from him. Sort of like a knee jerk reaction. And the town turning on Regina…I think it’s just the masses descending into chaos – imagine how scary it is to realize you don’t remember anything from the last year. And there’s no one who can fill in the blanks for you. People are going to point fingers at the easiest target, and unfortunately, though Regina has done a lot to save/help and sacrificed a lot for the town, these people spent a lot of years in fear of her. She’s still going to be the one with a giant bulls eye on her back.
But it does appear this blows over quickly. I think what the scene is really trying to show is the total fear these people have and how clueless they are as to how & why this would have happened.
And yes, I loooved that little WW shot at the end – she is going to be an excellent villain I think!
Jenna_BParticipantIn a weird way, what happens with Walsh is what she’s used to. Of course it’s always upsetting and devastating. You don’t want to be duped by someone. But she has a survival mechanism to get through that. It’s more that she’s pissed that Henry looked at him as a father figure and potential stability in their lives. If anything, it makes her guard go up higher because she wants to make sure she can protect Henry
Very true! And…who does she then leave Henry alone with??? Hook?
I think Morrison’s answer to that first question is very telling. She’s been answering the triangle like that more and more lately – giving it that “Yes, Neal’s Henry’s father, but….Hook….” It’s ok, JMo, we all ship CS here, too. You’re safe. 😉
