Haha I just was re-reading and was like, “huh?” Probably because I still can’t wrap my head around the idea that sending a leather clad pirate-stranger (albeit a very pretty one) will get Emma to drink the potion any faster than the guy who insert Kitsis’ phrasing here – sent Emma to jail will. So crazy! Haha, and yeah, I’m sick of death stuff so I’m rehashing. It’s healthier. You know. In a very unhealthy obsessive way.
Eddie further teases if a reunion does happen, it will not be a happy one. There’s still tension in the relationship because Emma doesn’t remember seeing Neal again in New York in season two, so in her memory, she never got that explanation why he left her. Ok, so can someone clarify a little? Or I guess speculate! I figured when Emma took that potion she got her memories back. So are they saying sending Neal wouldn’t be good because Emma’d be PO’d to see him or after Hook brings her back (presumably and she sees Neal again) there’s still going to be tension? Huh?
Keep the journal entries coming, SK! I love them – the 1st one from today really had me. Oh, and the stealing of the doll! Can’t you just totally see him doing that?! *Sigh. Swoon. Sigh*

I know, it just aggravates me. I want EVERY character to be complex. I love that EVERY character has good and bad. To me, OUAT has always been about taking the two ends of a spectrum and showing that reality – even for fairy tale characters – lies somewhere in between.
And I DON’T HATE NEAL!! I think that one makes me the most upset – the assumption that because I like Emma and Hook’s relationship more, I hate Neal. I don’t. I just…want the chemistry that CS has. I don’t automatically assume that RumBelle fans hate Regina, or that SF fans hate Hook…that’s silliness and just does such a disservice to the show. Looking between the lines and under the layers of what we’re being shown is the best part of the show. And I am super upset, frankly, by the fact that they’ve done practically nothing WITH Neal. So much potential there. And MRJ can bring it. His character in True Blood was one of the few ever that has truly knocked me through a loop.
Oh, here we go. I know I should leave well enough alone and I have no intention to start a war but really, someone’s gotta point out to the people that go on incessantly in chat about how he’s never done something unselfish need to be shown the other side of things.
Do they not REALIZE that Hook’s “I’m not doing it for you mate” comment to Charming in 3×5 was a JOKE? To break the tension! And his “eliciting a kiss” from Emma was a JOKE! To break the tension! That he expected her to kick him in his manly bits not to actually GET kissed?? How is this not obvious?! You can save someone’s life and it can be because 1) you don’t want him to die and 2) because you care about their daughter – and have it be unselfish.
Sorry. Needed to get it off my chest.
I wouldn’t stop watching. I’d sit back and see how it unfolds.
This was probably already brought up but I just haven’t gotten a chance to go through the thread – and all the other threads – – and chat – – !! to see…but here’s my thought on the whole situation.
Honestly, I’m not looking forward to a character death because of all the characters that are likely “on the chopping block,” (Hook, Belle, Nealfire) I was most looking forward to seeing what happened to them in the next half of the season. Regardless of ‘ship.
But let’s sit back and think for a minute. It’s kind of interesting that the spoiler was leaked now. The spin I feel like they’re trying to take is that they felt it was going to come out sooner than later so A&E wanted to get control of the spoiler so they were releasing the news on their terms. But this just happens to be –
Just when we’re about halfway through with the hiatus…
When a lot of other shows are entering or on their winter hiatus. Therefore a lot of other shows are getting talked about…
When there’s not much publicity-wise going on with OUAT (no TCA panel, no Paleyfest panel…) …
What’s going to get people talking (or having a giant nutty) more than an out-of-the-blue report about a major character death?! Hmmm! So the folks that watch are going to explode on social media – the casual viewer may see this and tune in. *cough* ratings *cough*. And those who don’t watch see people going bonkers and say to themselves, hmmm, I’m going to have to check that out *cough* ratings *cough*.
What an ingenious – and free! – marketing ploy! I know, that doesn’t make people feel better, but the thought did help me take the edge off. This is the nature of television. Bigger and better is necessary to stay afloat. And social media has completely changed the game when it comes to publicity for a show. And quite frankly, I don’t even trust A&E as far as I could throw either of them – plenty of things they’ve said in the past has either changed, not come to fruition, ended up playing out a completely different way…
so really. We should just relax, sit back and see what happens. I mean, yeah, am I going to be a lil sad if my hottie pirate’s not around every week for me to swoon over? Sure. But I’m not going to boycott if it ends up being Hook that bites the dust. Even if “your” character dies, give the show a chance to explain where they’re going. They may surprise you.
Here’s a thought… Hook’s secret was that he didn’t think he’d be capable of letting go of his first love and now believes Emma is his true love. Snow’s secret was that she wanted another baby and now she’s getting pregnant again. Charming’s secret was that he couldn’t leave Neverland and he left Neverland Emma’s secret was that she was hoping Neal was dead so…..
Ok, didn’t put that one together but…I know how some of you all love your parallels!!
