so I guess I can understand Neal/Bae leaving Emma in a way… Neal/Bae knows magic exists so August/Pinocchio’s story sounds plausible. And lets say for the sake of argument that true love does not exist… this is just plain old love.
What I do not understand is why they had to send her to jail… seems to me that other arrangements could have been made. I can understand him not going to SB after the postcard… a little cowardice does not need to run in the family for human nature to take over and be afraid of her potential anger and rejection. I can understand moving on and dating someone else. But after all that time, no spark when you meet again? Nothing? It had to be nothing… because no man is bringing his new fiancee to his old flame’s town to get to know their love child. And at every turn he doubts Emma. If there was a flame burning it was pretty darn dim.
Now introduce True Love… NO WAY, NO HOW was the other half of supposed True Love sending his woman to jail and fleeing the country in the night like the thief he was. Especially to do a prison sentence for his crime. Nope… Not Happening. You see in Snowing… THEY will do back flips to work something out. Charming would have done everything possible to help Snow fulfill her destiny without sending her to jail. And if there was no way around it, she had to go it alone, he would have removed HIMSELF from the equation first. Then that postcard would have been on fire as fast as he would have been out that door on his way to SB with the bag that has been packed for 10 years waiting.
So while I like Neal/Bae – I cannot get on board for SF and I feel bad if they think that is a relationship worth resurrecting, fixing, saving…
And I agree… Neal/Bae’s story is about him and his father and the issues between Father and Son each generation. I was so glad to see Neal hug Rumple and call him ‘Poppa.’ I was all kinds of feels. I want to see more of them reconnecting and having a solid Father Son Grandson relationship.
And as for the Captain Swan is Sexy and Fun… no kidding… but its not all fluff and lust. This man has spent 300 years trying to avenge his lost love. That puts even Charming’s dedication to shame. We all know there is meaning in CS… all the wonderful posts with examples proving it.
[adrotate group="5"]jenvenParticipantI never really cared before that Emma did not have a love interest… didnt seem that anyone really fit the bill. Then we get Neal and now Hook as potentials. I am not Anti Neal/Bae… I like him. I am Anti SF though… I dont see anything that makes them fit. But I do have a question… not trying to play devils advocate….
If Emma cannot have her heart removed because she is the result of TL… I see some posts saying the same thing for Henry and since his heart was removed he cannot be the product of a Neal/Emma TL union.
But… does it count when you remove it yourself – which Henry did. Could Pan have known and that was his way around it? or is it more that Henry had to believe so much that this was the right thing to do that he had to remove it himself?
Any thoughts?
