I really like the idea of Cora as Rose Red, I hope that’s how they do it!
[adrotate group="5"]jessistaParticipantActually, I’ve been to South Street Seaport in NYC, and a lot of the ships I’ve seen there (they have a museum indoors, so maybe that explains it?) look like old-type ships. Hook’s getup would be kind of crazy looking, even to New Yorkers.
jessistaParticipantSorry guys, I’m going to have to pass this one. (How cute was baby Bae?)
jessistaParticipant“I don’t want to be fourteen again, are you insane?” –I didn’t like being 14 either, lol!
jessistaParticipantWell, the original Rumple’s story’s inclusion of “eating babies” came from a medieval racist idea called the blood libel, in which it was said that Jews kidnapped Christian children and used their blood and/or ate them. I strongly doubt that Once’s Rumple would actually eat babies or have any connection to that medieval idea.

I tweeted Adam and told him I want a Thanksgiving episode now because of this line.
OMG, YES!!
jessistaParticipantThat’s an interesting idea–kind of like Pharaoh/King Herod rounding up and killing all male babies in order to stop his own overthrow. Then again, I think it shows that he never wanted to kill any of the babies (at least immediately), since they would lead him to Bae.
jessistaParticipantI think one of the big problems with this ep was that we were expecting so much from it. Everyone expected the box to have something really crazy in it, i.e. a fairy, a magic bean, a portal, psychic paper, etc, but instead we get something incredibly normal. It’s a good fake-out, and definitely a twist, but I was kind of underwhelmed.
The same thing goes with Henry’s “reveal” of the night. We were all expecting something nutty, like Henry is going to become a dark wizard/the Dark One, he’s going to kill Emma/Charming/Snow/Regina/Bae, he has to die to get everyone back to FTL, he’s really a dragon/changeling/shapeshifter/a messiah. Instead we get “he’ll be Rumple’s undoing”, which could mean absolutely anything, including something harmless.
jessistaParticipantPost-natal depression is an interesting theory, but I seem to think that those feelings tend to be directed at oneself or at the baby, not at the father. I also think it was a bit sudden that she went from “don’t go, you have nothing to prove” to “you should have died.” One of the spoilers said that we’d find out that Milah lied about not loving Rumple, but I disagree–telling someone they should have died is really harsh, and not something you tell someone you love.
And the betrayal of being a coward, if you even consider it that (Milah probably does), does not fly as a reason. In the teaser, Rumple seems to get stabbed by Hook, and you can hear Bae saying “Is there anything we can do to save him.” Rumple's greatest betrayal was done to his son, and even Bae doesn't want him dead (we also saw that Henry doesn't want Regina dead, etc). I don’t know if Milah was a gold/status-digger or just a B-word. It doesn’t justify killing her, of course, but she’s much less sympathetic now. I wonder if Nealfire finds out about Rumple killing Milah from Hook, and how he'll react. (Not like she was much of a mother to him, it seems, but still.)
jessistaParticipantHot tea for Rumple and Belle!
