If Rumple wakes up from his magically induced hat sucking coma and all he wants to do is regain all his power, I am 100% done with his character. He CANT DO THIS again; not after his talk with Belle on the pawn shop floor.
It would be consistent with everything he’s done in the past. He’s chosen power over his son, he’s chosen power over his true love. When he was living in New York without power, the only thing he did was plot to get his power back. He definitely does not do well without power.

Even as the Dark One, Rumple could still choose to do good, heroic things. My theory is that his original human weakness caused his evil, not any external dark force. I think Emma will be a different “Dark One” than Rumple. Don’t get me wrong. I still think she will be more quick to act on her dark impulses. She will probably kill. But being heroic to start with, I think she will be more likely to choose the heroic path.
I wonder if Archimedes the owl, Merlin’s companion from “The Sword and The Stone” will make an appearance, as other Disney animals have? I wonder if he will be able to speak english?
–I’m headcanoning that Regina let Belle be Belle until she got bored (and had the info she needed) and then poured on the snark. Belle might not remember what happened (boo) but I think it was her up through the kiss–as much her will as anything a heart-controlled person does. (Regina probably didn’t let Belle be aware that she’d taken her heart, though. See dislikes.) And I loved every moment of their reunion.
My theory is that this was never Belle’s heart. I believe it was either Regina’s or (more likely) one from the vault. I think Belle was was playing along with Regina to fool Rumple. I also think Belle was fully aware that she told Rumple that Will kissed better, and she derived pleasure from getting back at him.

It cracked me up when Belle had to communicate with a “professor” on the internet (turned out to be Rumple) to translate the spell that would release the fairies from the magic hat. When the spell was performed, no words were spoken. The dagger was just waived over the hat, as it was before. What was the translation for?
