Sarah_TN – I don’t think we’ll see any of that until next season. JMO stated (I can’t remember where but I’ll keep looking) that the 1st season was about Emma falling in love with Henry, the 2nd about realising that she has parents and being able to trust them. And the 3rd is about Emma accepting love and being capable of having love in her life.
However in saying that, we might have some connections between Emma and Hook, but I don’t think we will get a kiss by the end of this season. Since they are setting up Hook and Emma for next season we will probably get a lot of Hook/Emma scenes. Because Jane Espenson had actually said that we Captain Swan fans will love what is coming up.
We just have to try to be a bit more patient until that kiss. But we have made it this far so I’m sure we can do it 😀

I’m really looking forward to Jealous Hook! And I think we might get him in this upcoming episode (hopefully), because he will see Emma with Neal. And you know how distracted Hook gets 😆

I actually started ‘shipping’ Hook and Emma before The Crocodile even aired. The reason is because Hook’s tragedy pretty much reflected Emma’s. Therefore I knew straight away that they would bond over their tragedys and help one another. When The Crocodile aired I was overwhelmed with the amount of paralells between Hook and Emma – ripping out hearts, losing loved one, hiding behind a mask etc.

When they first met in The Doctor, I noticed straight away the difference between when he interacts with Emma and interacts with others – even his own crew. First off he introduced himself as Killian Jones. This is a big deal because after he got his hook, he had always introduced himself as Captain Hook. It is things like this that makes it so much more interesting, seeing the change in Hook whenever he is around Emma or even talking about her. He is no longer Hook, he becomes Killian Jones.

Another thing that Hook doesn when he’s around Emma is flirt. I know that Hook is a flirt, but since he lost his love and his hand, he only flirted with women because he wanted something from them, for e.g. When he flirted with Cora so she wouldn’t abandon him. However with Emma, he flirts for the heck of if. It’s like he just can’t stop, his mind just clouds up whenever he is around her. And I find this hillarious. Also when he gave Emma his whole break up speech in the jail cell, he tells her he’s done with her. And then they have their sword ‘fight’. Then after not seeing each other for almost a week, the first thing he says to her is ‘Hey beautiful’ – he just forgets that he is done with her 😆

It isn’t just the funny side that makes me ‘ship’ them. It’s also the fact that there is so much potential for their relationship as many other people have already stated. Thry can help each other to trust and love again. They have both suffered in the same way and therefore understand each other. Hook understood Emma in less than a day, he had worked her all out, because he knows the feeling, he knows what she is going through.
I also love it how Hook brings Emma out of her shell and vice versa.

Hook is not a villian in my opinion. If he was a villian, he wouldn’t have bothered getting Aurora’s heart back and he wouldn’t keep getting bested by others. I see Hook as a broken man who feels alone and feels lost. Hook just needs someone to show to him that they care about him. And I think that once he realises that Emma left with Rumple to protect Hook is when he realises that there is at least one person who cares and one person who is worth fighting for.

So I believe that Hook and Emma can help each other and I think it’s going to be a really enjoyable ride while they become closer and learn more about each other. The fit perfectly, like a puzzle piece and I can’t imagine anyone more better for Hook or Emma than each other. I’ve never really been into love stories, but I think that CS is going to be a big one.

Look, I know that you probably very upset/dissapointed because it’s pretty much been confirmed that Neal and Emma will never happen. And you’re probably very upset because you know that Captain Swan is going to happen and your ‘ship’ isn’t. But (and I’m saying this is the kindest way possible) there is no need for you to turn your disappointment into anger at this ‘ship’ and say it on the Captain Swan thread where there are many fans of this ‘ship’.

Now you don’t have to worry because I’m not going to ramble on about why CS is going to happen, it might just make you more upset. But don’t worry ok, chin up. Just because you’re ‘ship’ isn’t going to happen doesn’t mean that there isn’t going to be other ‘ships’ that you can support just as much 😀

I strongly disagree. Hook is exactly what Emma needs. Yes he does have fun and is free spirited, but he is loyal and therefore he will stay be Emma and never leave her. When Hook realises his feelings for Emma, he will do everything he can and more to prove to her that he will always stay by her. It is this that makes their relationship ‘long-term’.
Yes, Henry is the most important thing in her life and always will be, but that doesn’t mean that she can’t love again. I believe that Hook and Henry will get along very well. There is nothing that Hook has done to a child that makes anyone assume otherwise. I also believe that Henry will be quite fond of Hook and will become very close with him.

Also, the writers, cast, directors wouldn’t keep mentioning Hook/Emma and build up all this excitement about it, AND include them in the true love promo for nothing. They know how big this ‘ship’ is and how many fans love Emma/Hook so they will listen to them. We know its going to happen and will be long term, we just don’t know when exactly its going to happen

As for Emma only wanting a ‘bit of fun’ and looking for nothing ‘serious’. When you meet the right person, even if you promise to yourself that you don’t want to get into a ‘serious relationahip’ it just happens.
I believe that Killian is her true love, so nothing, not even Emma wanting some ‘fun’ would stop that. Because when you meet the right person…BAM!. Nothing gets in the way.

And, one last thing, you said that Hook will be a ‘rebound’ because Emma will find out Neal has a fiancee. It has already been stated that Emma will not forgive nor get back with him. She is obviously no longer in love with him, only scarred for what he has done to her. Therefore there is no need for her to ‘rebound’ if she doesn’t feel anything. So that’s definately not going to be the reason that Hook/Emma will happen – I can tell you I’m %100 positive on this.
This may take a while, but the end result would be Emma finding her true love – Killian Jones.

Also, I thought I’d just mention the reason I ship Captain Swan since everyone else is. In my opinion, Emma and Hook couldn’t be more alike. The fact that they have both suffered a traumatic experience is good, because tragedy brings people together, They both understand the feeling of losing someone which allows them to bond and realise that they can help each other. I also think it’s their acting that makes me ‘ship’ them so much. The chemistry they have is incredible.

I do understand why Neal and Emma is ‘shipped’ by others, but I don’t think that it would be good if they got back together. They may give Henry the big happy family he has always wanted, but Emma and Neal would be fighting pretty much everyday over Neal leaving Emma which could then lead to other things. And even if Emma says that she forgives Neal, his betrayal would always be on her mind.
It wouldn’t be good for Henry – it’s never nice seeing your parents fight.

This is also a reason I ‘ship’ Hook/Emma. Because Hook would never leave Emma – he fights for what he wants. If August had come up to Hook and told him he had to leave her, he would tell him to back off, he’d never leave. Which is what Henry and Emma need.
