I’m so happy that they’re doing season 3! 😀
RumplesGirl- I know what you mean. I really don’t like Cora either, she’s so horrible. Even if she did have a hard life when she was young, it doesn’t excuse her for all the hurt she has done. The fact that she knows what it feels like should have motivated her to make sure Regina is happy and that she should do what she wants. I highly doubt that I will sympathise her.
I can’t wait though![adrotate group="5"]jolly rogerParticipant@SpinningGold wrote:
First of all: Cruel, no matter what you think of her acting, to post a remark about that about a young girl that clearly put everything into that role. How would you like it if somebody started making remarks about somethi you absolutely poured your heart in? If something needs to change in her acting, it’s the director’s job to pick up on that not yours.
Secondly I think she did absolutely wonderful, we see Snow do things, like scold a servant that was un-Snow-like (but will make sense, come next episode) that were hard, and she did fabulous. Don’t forget, we see this gorgeous set, they are in a green room.
And ItachiIstar,, same goes for Jared, he is doing great. The madness about his mother’s lies could be better, but I think this is the writer’s fault. They have given him lines that are unnatural for him, and he is making the best out of it that he can. He is however to young to say: Hey, this does not work, I wouldn’t say that, let’s try it ….. , like a Robert Carlyle might do. He’s a kid, so he does what he is told. Again, not his fault. (The cheezy pizza line was horrid and stupid. Henry is too young (and still innocent) for sarcasm, and Jared is clearly just saying the line because he had to. The producers are trying to create an animosity between them that isn’t there, just so Emma and Gold have common ground. It should have been cut)Exactly!! This is the point I was trying to make. They are only young and as I said, don’t have as much experience as the other actors such as Robert. I was actually shocked by some of the comments I was reading on here.
Jared!? I haven’t seen someone make a bad comment about Jared until Itachilstar. I don’t know what TV show you’re watching, but I think he’s doing a terrific job, I can’t see anything wrong with his acting.
There’s no need to be so picky and attack the actors. I can’t believe some people – it’s never good enough for them!jolly rogerParticipantI don’t want to sound mean, I’m just curious. What’s with all the sudden negative comments against the show? There’s another thread where people are saying negative comments about the writing of the show.
Bailee Madison is only 14 years old. So of course her acting won’t be as good as others on the show who have had more experience than her. I think she did an amazing job, especially for a 14 year old, and she played a young Snow very well. Especially the scene where Eva dies. She was so convincing. Hats off to her! 😀jolly rogerParticipantWell, I love this show. I’m not picky if they have mistakes. As SpinningGold said, they are only human. We all make mistakes, give them a little credit. They can’t please everyone, it’s impossible. Rather than focusing on the things you don’t like and getting yourself upset over it, focus on the good stuff – and there is plenty of that. I hadn’t even noticed these ‘mistakes’ before I read this. And I highly doubt every other viewer would too. The only way most people notice mistakes, such as this one, is because they purposefully look for them. And then they get upset 😆
The writers put a lot of effort into writing the episodes, and I thnk their effort hasn’t gone to waste. We’re not getting paid to watch this show, so you don’t have to watch it if it’s upsetting you 🙂jolly rogerParticipantI love it when Jane Espenson writes an episode! Thanks for the info
jolly rogerParticipantI was re-watching the promo for the hundredth time when I realised something that I kept missing/not taking in. Regina pushes Emma against a wall and raises the dagger as if to stab her. At first I thougt that theres no way she will stab Emma because she can’t die – her role is too major. But then I remembered the candle. Other posters on here are speculating that Snow might’ve kept the candle because we didn’t actually see her give it back to Blue (Cora).
So here’s my theory:
Cora and Regina fight against the good guys. Regina pushes Emma (maybe with magic) and stabs her with the dagger. The good guys manage to get rid of Cora and Regina and try to heal Emma. Snow then decides to use the candle because there is no way she would let her own daughter die when she knows there is something she can do to save her. Instead of choosing someone to kill, she goes into Reginas’ grave thing where all her hearts are and picks one; not knowing who is going to die. And that could be why Charming sais ‘what did you do’. Then after Emma is saved, we find out whos heart it was. I’m thinking that maybe Cora took a good guys heart, such as a dwarf or Red, and she ends up unknowingly killing them.I know this seems kinda out there, but they did say this episode was big, and it was a big turning point for Snow. So what do you think? Too unrealistic?

I have the same problem most of the time. In this particular case I’d guess it was the emoticon to blame. It looked rather…worried.
Either way I’m realllly happy about the looks they were giving each other at PaleyFest…anybody think they put them on opposite ends of the panel for a reason?? (Poor Colin having to hobble all the way down to the end…)
I never thought about that. Now that you mention it, it is common sense to let the person who broke their leg walk to the chair closest to him, not the one at the very end. It must have been done for a reason then, but I fail to see what the reason was..?
Well done in spotting that though 😀jolly rogerParticipant@steliokontos1 wrote:

Yes..that’s what I said..?
It’s not a bad thing!
They were being smug as in they’re pleased, they know something big we don’t, they’re stirring up the fans by telling them big things are coming our way to get everyone pumped and exicted…
I really don’t know what you mean. Are you confused by the term ‘smug’ or you didn’t see them (especially the directors) being smug? Why does my wry sense of humor not translate well online lol 😀
Wait, you were you joking? I’m so sorry, I didn’t get that. Hahah, don’t worry humor is very hard to convey over the internet 😀

Jolly Roger – I completely agree with you. However I am afraid that our definition of endgame and the writers definition of endgame could be two entirely different things. That’s my fear anyway.
I’d like to see them do something new and different and have Emma be a true product of FTL + our world and go for the choice that leaves Henry with all of his family in a non-traditional way just because that is real life. He’s lucky enough to have everybody in his life to begin with now. I really really hope that we get longterm CaptainSwan but I’m not going to stop worrying until they have both clearly moved on.
Emma is a NEW fairy tale character so on the bright side there’s isn’t anything that says she must with (insert name here) like most of the rest of the characters. Emma being the product of true love was important but she was born in FTL where things are a little different. Hopefully they don’t make it so that Henry is too so that we’re stuck. I’m kinda enjoying the fact that Emma can be with whomever and we can watch it unfold as a new fairy tale rather than all the ones we know have to end up together eventually. It’s refreshing and frankly I think SwanFire undermines that whole idea a little bit. I can see why they’d go there but I refuse to give up hope.
Oh and I think it’s that “smug” has a negative connotation perhaps? They definitely looked like they knew something and I was jumping for joy. *Fingers crossed we get lots of CaptainSwan goodness out of it!*
PS: Does anybody know where I can find a great Hook icon/avatar that isn’t being used by anyone else? With as much as I have to try to defend him I might as well use him as my pic!
I agree, especially with Emma being a ‘new’ fairytale character. It certainly does make it interesting.
As for the avatar, I just go on google images for my pictures etc. so I don’t really know.Oh and I think it’s that “smug” has a negative connotation perhaps?
Ohh.. that’s what they meant. It depends on the context it’s used. Haha don’t worry I didn’t mean it in a bad way, definately not! If you go back to the video, you’ll see especially the directors when they were talking about Hook/Emma they had smug smirks on their faces. They were enjoying themselves because they know a lot of big things we don’t concerning Hook/Emma 😀
