Well the Henry’s father does not know that Emma ever had a baby.
So she says… But you can’t help but wonder 🙂
That would be awesome, and I’m sitting here trying to back it up with evidence but I can’t. Shoot, that’s probably it then if we haven’t got a clue!! Hahaha

ParticipantWhat do you think Jane Espenson means by that jondavidcarroll?
I’d like to think she almost spilled the beans. August J. Booth came out with no hesitation as if a name very similar is discussed around the writers’ table. Idk, but it’s her reaction and recovering and her smiling that makes me believe that, i don’t know, maybe the J is part of his real character’s name or the original character he is playing but they changed the letter so that we couldn’t just google it and get an answer. That’s the thing, I feel like each part of his name comes from a different story because if it wasn’t, we’d be able to find something. The August could be a date, or Augustus (Grimm), or the month a certain song that was released and had the title of a metaphor they’re trying to portray in FTL but have to do the opposite in SB hahahahaha okay wowww. I need to stop thinking for a sec. ❓ Mario KART! 😛
i’m already over my theory about Lampwick. He needs to way more important. I’d rather Pinocchio than that guy. It’s just that… I know he's not Pinocchio. 😮

ParticipantI guess I just don’t see what’s so bad about it. I mean, they turned annoying Disney Snow White into a butt-kicking renegade and no one has a problem with that.
I’m sorry, I know I need to have an open mind–and I do. But the thing is for me, personally, I love these writers and I know what they’re capable of. And for some characters, such as Belle, they wanted us to know immediately who Emile de Ravin (sp?) was playing, obviously. But for a character who is new, sort of familiar, a stranger from out of town–a town that no one is supposed to be able to enter–these writers know that we’re sitting on the edge of our seats and arguing over forums and they’re loving it. They have thought of all the ways they could make it look like Bae and Pinocchio or OZ or Peter Pan and for each clue they decide to give us, they have thought of ways in which that one clue could lead us to believing he’s 5 different characters. The leg is turning back to wood, but really he’s just not use to walking cause he’s Peter Pan, but wait what if he really is just a Grimm brother…. I’m desperately hoping that he is a very important character. I’m not saying Pinocchio isn’t important, I just don’t think all the obvious signs of him being Pinocchio would satisfy all the hype that they’ve built up over this guy.
I also have a passion for cinematography and I actually do a reality show of my family over the summers for our friends and family on fb, twiiter, etc. And my favorite thing to do, especially on “next week promos” was to put together clips out of context to make people think something different than it really is. It gets the audience excited and more people will want to start watching. Last week’s promo, for this episode (The Return) led us to believe that Mr. Gold said TO AUGUST, “I think you’re here to try and kill me.” And he wasn’t even talking to August in that scene. His words mumbled together and the editors knew they could fool us. Even more, I bet Jane Espenson is laughing her you know what off right now that she fooled us on Bae. And I’d put money on it that they’re tricking us again with the next promo. Emma is talking to August (we think) and says you want me to believe that you're a fairy tale character? And while she’s saying that line we see footage of Pinocchio being pulled out the water. I just think the moment when August’s identity is revealed, it’s not going to be in a promo. It’s going to be something we haven’t even thought of, like they did with Red and the Wolf (also written by Jane Espenson).
The writers have said that the season finale is going to be the best hour of television we’ve ever seen. These last 3 episodes have to be huge and open us up for a whole new season of fairy tale action. I just don’t see that happening if he’s Pinocchio. We saw that there are more portals (which was my theory in another thread about all the worlds having their own passage in and out, like the hat in wonderland). That portal was green, the phone August called on was green, we know there’s a green door–I don’t know who this guy is, but I’m betting and desperately hoping that he’s from another world so that they have a lot more material for season 2.

This is an interview with Jane Espenson. Watch when she mentions the stranger she says August J. Booth (not W) but quickly corrects herself but still has a smirk as if she almost gave something away. She also says to pay close attention to his name which is obvious but reassuring that my hours of research aren’t a complete waste of time. 🙂

ParticipantI do agree that Emma was fed up and that’s what shot her off, but at the same time I feel like Emma knew Regina was taking it too far and perhaps by threatening her with Henry, she knew Regina would might take it down a notch. However, regina has dug herself a big enough hole that I’m not so sure she can’t get out of. I just hope the promo scenes really happen and aren’t like a dream or something.

ParticipantMe and my roommates watch it every Sunday, although I’m the only one who writes on the forums. They think I’m crazy with my theories so I had to turn to the Internet where I could find other crazy people 🙂 but you’re not alone dude

I still want to see if Emma can leave SB. I think she is stuck there now that she has arrived.
I’ve been wondering about this too. I thought there might be a similar story to the mad hatter’s hat like same number of people who enter SB is the same number that has to leave. Emma came with Henry so someone else would have to be with her to leave. Although that wouldn’t explain how Henry left by himself and then came back with Emma :/

ParticipantI disagree about the curse not affecting other worlds. I think the dark curse is so dark that everyone will be affected. Storybrooke is where everyone from FTL went to. Yes, Jefferson was in Wonderland, but he still resided in FTL with his daughter so he and his daughter (along with everyone else from FTL) ended up in Storybrooke. But because Jefferson was trapped in Wonderland at the time of the curse (I’m just assuming) his house in SB that he’s trapped in represents the fact that he was trapped in Wonderland. But he’s still in SB because he lived in FTL.
In regards to August coming and going, no I don’t believe the Oz would have any powers (though it’d be nice). But I think each world has its own special mode of transporting between each world. For Wonderland, the hat is used to come and go. For the Land of Oz, the tornado storm is what got Dorothy out of Kansas. The hot-air balloon is what took the wizard of oz there (via storm). I think August’s motorcycle could be his “hot-air balloon” to go between worlds. For Neverland, idk… maybe you need special fairy dust is required to fly to each world. For Agrabah, perhaps the magic carpet is the only way in and out. I’m just making up stuff but I’m trying to make myself clear. I don’t think Jefferson’s hat is the only way to go to the other worlds.
As far as making the story too complicated, they definitely don’t have enough time this season to introduce us to the Land of Oz. But if we find out August is Oz, then I suspect a season finale cliffhanger that ends with the Land of Oz, hinting that they will spend an entire season explaining that world. And then season two ends with Captain Hook, which gives the entire third season to explain Neverland, and so on and so forth.
I know it’s a lot to take in and handle, but these writers can make anything work. We’ve seen it first-handed. With my theory, I’m not sure if everyone would still be in SB and only the flashbacks take place in the Land of Oz, or if a tornado comes sweeping through SB sending everyone over the rainbow, or even if everyone had multiple characters giving each their own identity in each world (chyeah right). However, Rumpel stated in the pilot that “the final battle will begin!”. I don’t think we have enough higher-power people for there to be a battle in SB. I think it has to include the other worlds or else this series won’t last long. They can’t just keep dragging it out for 8 or 9 seasons. Could you imagine if Emma still didn’t believe 8 years from now?! No way. There are already hints of her faith so something else, and I mean something big, needs to happen so that we know just how DARK this curse really is.
ps. They day August is Pinocchio is the day I become tinkerbell.

ParticipantYou know what would be bad a**, the season finale an actual “storm” comes and there’s a tornado (even though it’s Maine) and the tornado takes everyone to a different world and season 2 we start over, except we’re in the new world, whether it be Neverland, Wonderland, etc. They could do that at the end of each season and theyre always trying to break the curse so it stops and they go back to FTL.
Woah, I kind of just have myself the chills. I don’t know if the characters would have their knowledge of everything or have to regain it but that seems like it would be very original and could keep the series going. And also introduce all the other characters in the different worlds.
