or was the DNA test tampered with (ordinary frame-up)?
Even before they mentioned DNA testing I was all, “If they send that thing for DNA testing and it comes back saying it’s Kathryn’s, no way am I believing it.” Regina has control over all that paperwork in that town and can make it say anything she pleases.
I thought about this as well and I’ll be very disappointed if they go this route. I just feel like that’s too easy of an explanation for these writers. MY question is why haven’t they shown us the heart? There are clearly two different hearts we’ve seen: the glowing red hearts that can easily be ripped out in FTL and an actual human heart. Graham was still alive in SB even though Regina had his “glowing heart” so perhaps Kathryn’s “glowing heart” was in that box? But wouldn’t Emma look at it and be like “What the hell kind of heart is this?!” I really think there is more to be revealed here.

Are you guessing that he thinks his daughter will be there or did Jefferson hint at it? I’m only asking in case I missed something. I didn't even realize he was actually stuck in his house for 28 years. I thought he was speaking on behalf of the entire town of SB, but you’re right. I just rewatched it
He definitely wanted the hat to work but I don't think his intentions were to go through the hat alone. He wanted to take his daughter with him so they could be together. I Don't know if anyone has mentioned this on another thread but there is a very clear suction-cup noise when the MH falls out the window. So I'm 98% positive he went through, but he didn't take his daughter. The hat was obviously left behind in SB so how will Jefferson be able to get back? AND where did the hat take him? After listening to the podcast, I think ya'll were on to something when you said that Jefferson's house represented Wonderland.That’ll be interesting to see where that story goes…. or started…. or both. 😆
Yes, I think it was definitely before. Her father’s heart was thrown into that fire to enact the curse and I don’t know if you can come back from that. Plus, Regina fed him a mushroom which, in the story of Alice and Wonderland, makes you grow or shrink.So I think he was just shrunk and this is way before the curse.
I said from the beginning that the QoH is Regina's mother but then I also saw imdb. I know it's possible to lie on imdb, but I don’t think they would go out of their way by hiring another actress just to fool the audience.
Also, Regina’s father, Henry, isn’t a king. Therefore Regina wasn’t royal until she married Snow White’s father, King Leopold. That should also explain why QoH isn’t Regina’s mother–because Regina would have been royal before she got married.
I freaked out as well when I saw the heart vault thingy. My guess is that every fairy tale world has one and whatever is kept inside each box depends on the Queen (or King) of that world. I definitely don’t think it was Regina’s father’s heart inside the box. I think we would have been able to see it when it was on the ground, plus Regina stuck her hand pretty far down so there's open space. Also, in the story of Alice and Wonderland, eating the mushroom (either the left or right side) can make you grow or shrink. So I think she was definitely feeding the mushroom to her father. When he comes to his normal size, his and his daughters reaction would have been much more joyful, in my opinion. They acted like they were still keeping in touch, but it was hard to communicate or something. That may not make sense but it does in my head. 😀
Lastly, timeline-wise, I think this was before Regina kills her father. Obviously because I said I don’t think it was his heart inside, but also because Regina threw her father’s heart in the fire to enact the curse. Sooo I think he’s done-zo.
