ParticipantI wrote elsewhere that I am beginning to think that when magic is used in Storybook, that it also has an effect on what remains of Fairytale Land. I wonder if Gold accidentally summoned the wraths to FTL when he summoned them to SB. The symbol on the medillan looks like the “One Ring” symbol from J. R. R. Tolkien’s Series. (I also wrote about this elsewhere) Did the other worlds merged into the remaining slice of FTL. A nod to Tolkien would be pretty cool.
Mulan and Phillip had been fighting battles together for a while before Sleeping Beauty was awakened. Mulan alluded to the fact that she was drawn into FTL after the curse was enacted. I will need to re-watch to see what exactly is said. I still think there is a time difference. Perhaps one in the past one in the future. They did this a ton in Lost. Why does Gold have the medallion? Are there more than one?

I wonder if Gold accidentally summoned the wraths to FTL when he summoned them to SB . I also wonder if there is a time difference in the two. I swear Sleeping Beauty was informed that she was only asleep for one year. Also how did Gold get the same medallion. Speaking of the medallion, the symbol looks like the “One Ring” symbol from J. R. R. Tolkien’s Series. (I also wrote about this elsewhere) The also stated that the other worlds merged into the remaining slice of FTL. A nod to Tolkien would be pretty cool. Who is protecting the remaining slice of FTL? Any theories?

ParticipantHave seen Lancelot suggested on another forum too, and think that idea fits really well. As far as heroic and tragic legends about knights go, he’s the man. Arthur’s #1 knight who had an affair with Guinevere that brought about the downfall of the kingdom. Seems to fit the story of the casting call pretty well.
I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if Anastaisa is Guinevere and Dr. Whale is tied in somehow. I have been theorizing that Dr. Whale is part of the King Arthur Tale. I am most convinced he is tied in with the new princess.

ParticipantGood catch Phee. I will have to read / research the Gulliver Tales. I remember them, but not well enough.

ParticipantFor me it sucks.
I have watched all the LOST episodes on Netflix (What a fantastic series!) and now am on to Dr. Who.
I miss all the episode discussions and and speculations.
I am looking forward to the possible podcast on Dr. Whale.

ParticipantOne thing I love about this show is how they develop characters, personalities and actions. Everyone has a dark and a light side. NO ONE is perfect. We are not saints. I love how the show provokes you to think about morality. I use to loth Regina, but as the show has progressed, I have come to feel rather sorry for her. She had a horrific upbringing, is hated by everyone, and continually loses the things she loves (even if she is responsible for the loss). There is no doubt that she would be pleased and excited that magic is returning. Magic is all that she has. It is what she hides behind and protects herself with. I think deep down inside, Regina is actually more fragile than we think. She does have a strong nurturing side to her. We see this side when she tends to her plants, her horse and let’s not forget Henry. I was actually sad when she was “defeated” and did not want to see her powerless at all . I really have grown fond of her as the villain and love to hate her so. (Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t)
Rumple is all about himself, but I also love him for it. I think people read too much into his relationship with Belle and are perhaps looking to get lost in a love story of sorts. (Ahhh True Love). It will be interesting to see how this relationship plays out. Perhaps Belle will be able to influence Rumple, perhaps not. Belle seems like a strong character and I’m not sure how long she will tolerate Rumples “bad” behavior. But, I cannot really state Rumple’s behavior is bad (except when he kills people. LOL). All I can state is that it is self-serving. He has brought back magic for a reason, whether he is setting himself up or protecting himself from something, I don’t know. He wants to be a contender in the final battle I’m sure. As he states Magic = Power. He obviously knows a whole lot more than we do at this time. I think her is suiting himself up and getting ready for war. Perhaps he wants to be king?

Participant(1) I am curious as to how magic will work in our world. We know it works differently than in FTL. What will this mean for the characters? I am also unsure as to whether Rumple brought magic to ONLY SB or if he brought it to the world over?
(2) WHO IS DR WHALE? Its killing me.
