Whoa. Maybe that was supposed to be how DQ neutralized Elsa’s magic when she’s threatening Hook?
I guess they just dropped that line of thought, but…I just noticed that’s what the dust would do, and guess who has it now?

Considering, as far as Belle knows, that dagger has the potential to control Rumple and would be devastating if it falls into the wrong hands (as seen with Zelena) why is Belle just carrying it around with her in her bag. Why doesn’t she ask Rumple to hide it somewhere safe?
She did ask him to do just that in episode 321. He refused, saying that the whole point was that he trusts her. And she doesn’t dare let it leave her side since she knows the risk should someone take it. And yes, that was still with the fake dagger.
Two things this scene does set up: How carefully Hook was watching the dagger action and the possibility that Rumple’s jar of dirt will come up later. Hook’s noticing/guessing about the dagger didn’t need the extra setup though, and if the jar of dirt comes up later, they can explain it in a sentence (or a few words–“because I do!”).
It’s not as harsh a cut as others (though it WOULD have given Belle a tiny bit more screentime, grr. Also, a good look at her outfit).

The other thing with Regina taking so long to pull the heart, when she knew while Marian was just barely freezing that it would save her–it felt almost like she was giving Robin the chance to say, nah, let her die, then we can be together. It just didn’t feel reasonable (and it felt a little OOC for Regina to not do something impulsive, too).

He didn’t say he didn’t love Marian. He said he loved someone else. Obvious implication, he’s fallen for Regina.
And conflicting feelings could totally mess with the TLK magic. I’ll buy that.
Doesn’t mean Marian never was his true love. I fully believe they were a TL couple until she died (or until he believed she was dead) and in the subsequent three years managed to move on and develop an interest in Regina.
Moving on does not invalidate TL. After all, Regina truly loved Daniel; her falling for Robin does not make that less of a True Love. Conflicts that keep TLK from working also don’t invalidate it (as with Frederick, Snowing, and Rumbelle’s failed TLKs).
Robin’s actions in Lacey are sufficient proof to me that he truly loved/loves Marian. He’s conflicted now because he did his grieving, moved on, and found Regina–fair enough, it’s an interesting story. But I dislike the implications that Marian -should- be dead or that Regina was right to kill her because if she’d stayed dead, Regina could have her guy. Just ew. Worse is if the only way they can resolve it is by breaking up a marriage (with a child involved) or killing Marian AGAIN.
Basically what I dislike here is that Regina’s happy ending is suddenly dependent upon destroying someone else’s happy ending. (And, we saw her heart, Marian’s not an evil person.) That only perpetuates the cycle of creating villains.

Favorite Parts:
Rumple. Or at least, RC’s acting for Rumple–gave me chills a few times. Same with Belle & Emilie’s portrayal her weilding the dagger.
Hook & Elsa’s adventure. Hook stole my heart with the “Hopefully, danger,” bit and then the cell phone with the Emma button had me laughing so hard. I like him a lot when it’s not all CS all the time. (And Colin is adorable in every way.)
Kristoff. Kristoff was a show-stealer and adorable.
Emma calling the snow queen “Dairy Queen.” She will forever be DQ for me now. Wait, does she have another name?
The creepy-edge-of-my-seat wondering about DQ and Rumple’s connection.
The fact that they mentioned Neal three times, even if it wasn’t perfect. His existence was acknowledged at the very least.
The bit about everyone’s magic looking different…that’s an inspiring thought to me.
Least favorite:
Um, Regina, you could’ve taken Marian’s heart out like half an hour ago so the ice didn’t have a chance to reach it. You did not need a box to take the heart. Just to store it safely.
Okay, I get TLK is complicated. It didn’t work on Frederick cuz of the gold, and it didn’t change Rumple because he got suspicious mid-kiss. (And curiously doesn’t seem to work in Storybrooke on the DO curse at all, unless Rumple’s doing SOMETHING to keep it from working.) So there could be interference. I don’t believe for a second that Robin never loved Marian truly–he bloody faced the Dark One to get a wand to save her life once. That’s TL material right there. It might be more complicated for the moment (even Snowing’s had their complicated moments) but GEEZ this is Robin Hood and Marian, I’m sorry, they’re True Love no matter what Robin’s got going on now. And Regina getting Robin while Marian is alive is icky and now if something happens to Marian it’s still icky so just no thank you on OQ.
Rumple, stop using Belle as an alibi. It’s not nice. >:( Okay, I am eager to see where that’s going to lead but Belle better still get her happy ending.
Oh, and as is now par for the course: Needs more Belle.

I think DQ (I will forever call her this) has something that Rumple either desires, needs, or desperately wants to keep her from doing.
She obviously has a power over him, since he’s waiting for her to make a deal. I think, too, that might be part of why he’s lying through his teeth all over the place. Whatever she’s got that he wants, it’s big.

But Rumple’s still the DO, and I’m pretty sure Belle’s kissed him about as much as possible at this point…and they’re def TL. So stuff can interfere.
