Rumple probably cast a memory charm on Belle, like the one that Regina used on Henry in S2.

I would not be shocked if Rumple created the memory potion with SOME kind of loophole though.

I did giggle like crazy when he questioned why he was where he was after taking it though. That was brilliant, RC.

And he doesn’t know how far in the future it is. Maybe he gets years with his son instead of days. So the risk of letting him die (which he may yet be able to prevent in some fashion) is smaller than the risk of ruining the reunion he’s sought for over a century.

Honestly I was kinda at peace after this episode. I loved almost the whole ep, even if I’m mad at Rumple for lying to cover his lies and annoyed at A&E for keeping Neal dead.

But one thing I think this cemented for me is that there’s no question that Swanfire is/was True Love. And I still have this vague hope that Rumple is going to find a way to bring his son back.

I was hoping for something less 1920s myself, but the vows were perfect, and I’m GLAD that Maurice was present. Also glad that Archie was, actually.

And the small wedding–I thought it would be small, and the well was the perfect spot…but I do feel a little cheated out of best-man Charming and ring-bearer Roland :p

I’m not sad they’re married, but the lies are DEFINITELY something they’ll have to explore next season. And thank heaven for that, because maybe Rumbelle will actually get ten minutes of screentime in an episode finally :p

I expected it….but I can’t say I think it was the best choice. Perhaps the only choice if they wanted Neal deadeadead. But yeah, it’s really weird to name your son after your grandson’s father.

I think that Rumple was moved by the gesture though…I’m hoping he sees it as becoming closer to the family, since after all Henry is his grandson too. And I do love me some Rumple-Charming broshipping.

Well, what needs fixing is Neal’s death…but I am scared about what changing that does for Rumple.

Gah. I dislike it when this show forces me to try to choose between my favorite characters’ happiness. I like Hook AND Neal AND Rumple dangit!

In caring for the character of Neal, it’s impossible not to -mention- Hook; their lives have been intertwined since Killian met Milah.

But I agree, it is not necessary to hate Hook just because one likes Neal or feels that Swanfire is a better ship for Emma. Hook is a delightful character played by an adorable and talented actor….and while I still don’t think he’s the best match for Emma, I DO want him to have a happy ending.

But I also want a happy ending for Henry. And Neal. And Rumple. And Belle. And Emma. And Snowing and their little baby. And heck, even Regina :p
