I love Robin and Roland but I get the creepiest vibe whenever Regina’s in the same scene with Roland. I want her to stay the heck away from that kid. The kids she takes an interest in tend to lose their fathers…among other things. Let’s see, Snow, Hansel & Gretel (the only ones, other than Emma, who got their dad back, incidentally), Owen, and Henry. Oh, and Emma’s being separated from her parents until she was 28.

Until Quiet Minds I was willing to cautiously accept the possibility that maybe, just maybe, Outlaw Queen could persuade me. Now I’m screaming at Robin to run the other way.

Angiebelle, you haven’t been–it’s just you’re bringing different things to the story. It’s okay to feel what you’re feeling, just as it’s okay for me to feel what I’m feeling and RG to feel what she’s feeling.

I’m kinda somewhere between grief and (cautious) hope that this will make more sense in context of later episodes. I still feel lost about it, but I rewatched the episode twice…and it wasn’t as hard as I expected it to be. We’re all going to process this differently and that’s okay–emotions are not logic. (That said, I think I’d be less upset if I saw the logic…and I don’t.)

Yeah, I found it odd that in an ep like this, that’s the bit that was too painful for me to watch. I was never really on board the Outlaw Queen train, but now I think I can never see it play out without wanting to throw things at Regina. And I don’t dislike Regina…I’m almost ready to climb on board with SQ (okay, not really) over this.

I rewatched but I had to skip most of the OQ stuff…somehow blending it in with the death of Neal just makes it that much more ominous. I want Regina to earn happiness…and I do believe she’s grown…but look what happens to the dads of the kids she has an interest in.

Watching Neal die and then seeing Roland run into Robin’s arms just highlights what Neal is missing…and then there’s the dangled promise of Regina getting that while Neal and Emma never can. And I just want to scream at Robin to take Roland and get out of there. Hang out with Belle and date Granny or Tink or something.

Rumple/Neal might have told him too, somehow. Zelena had him captive, yes, but clearly it wasn’t perfect captivity–less than a week in Storybrooke and he broke free.

I agree with a lot of your reasoning, as painful as this was for me. I am, however, still hoping that the next few episodes will make his death more meaningful than simply keeping us on our toes. And yes, there’s still a part of me that’s vaguely hoping that by the series finale it will somehow be undone.

*hugs* It was pretty crushing. And in an ep that blended some of my favorite stories outside of Once, too. I dunno what could make it better at this point, but I’m not ready to give up on the show yet…I still love too many of the characters.
