Hm, thoughts on NYC Henry relative to SB Henry…
–Regina bought Henry a handheld video game when his book was lost. It was partly a see, I’m a more awesome Mommy than Emma move, but while she was strict she wasn’t against the games. And he did get into playing it eventually.
–One of the things that Regina, Snow, and Emma all worried about with Henry was how lonely he was. The first thing Regina asks is whether he has friends in New York now (and he does…interesting). And it’s not that he doesn’t get on with the other kids in SB–when he interacts with them, it’s usually positive. So interesting shift there.
–He doesn’t argue when Regina says he likes English or books, so while he clearly is into his video games now, he still likes stories. And video games (at least the ones he plays) are stories too.

Well, we know full well that his meeting with Snow was post-Belle, because she meets Grumpy the next day. And Belle met Dreamy, who wasn’t Grumpy just yet, after she left the Dark Castle.
The only reason it matters is if moving his acquisition of the wand earlier conflicts with these more established facts.

7:15 takes place at least a month after Snow first meets Charming, possibly a bit more. I have to look back at my notes. However, that means that Rumple could be in one of the angrier stages of grief over losing Belle when he gives the potion to Snow–we know it’s after Belle leaves at any rate because Grumpy.
Yes, there’s a costume change issue with the timing and Regina for Ariel, but…it still fits. I think it works. It’s just really, really tight.

Charming was at the wedding. The wedding clearly happens post-taking-back-the-kingdoms, and I firmly believe it’s also after Charming and Snow’s public wedding (though maybe just after the honeymoon).
However, a royal wedding could presumably take some time to happen. And it’s possible that Thomas had to hunt a bit for his bride (as per the Cinderella tale) first.
Trying to squeeze in the wand earlier is tricky, but Ariel already moved up everything in that area of the timeline to mid-112 because of the Certain Mermaid comment.

So she at least knew about Johanna. How? This is something I want to know.
Is she really trying to kill David, or do something else to him? And why her interest in the Charmings anyway?

Possibly! the other possible issue is season. In the Shepherd it looks like spring already, but it’s def wintertime in 219, and we know the kingdoms can’t be that far apart cuz even sans magic people move pretty fast between them.
If one puts Robin’s theft a little later–say a fortnight instead of a week–then there might be time for some of this other stuff to happen. Still really tight though.

I dunno if I was truly on board until Manhattan, but the moment he came back to face his father to help Emma, I was on board. And while I agree that Colin is smokin’ hot as Hook, Neal hugs look amazing. Plus I love the way he treats Henry.

I haven’t added in ogre wars that weren’t directly involved in an ep, but I like your theories on those, PoM. And yeah, I’m more and more convinced that Rumple’s about 200 and very tempted to just make the change on my timeline.

Rewatching 311 and more and more I’m leaning toward the idea that Rumple is 200 years old, not 300. Our evidence for 300 is mainly from interviews early on, not internal evidence from the show.
Evidence for an age of 200:
–14 yo Bae falls through a portal into our world (and Adam has said repeatedly that the Darlings are in our world) sometime after Big Ben exists. It was built in 1858, so, assuming there is no time travel in the Onceverse and time moves the same in FTL and our world, that means Bae could not have been born before 1844.
–Pan asks in 311, “What are you now, a couple hundred?” We know time DOES move differently in Neverland, or rather, doesn’t really move at all, so Pan’s sense of time is probably off. However, that suggests that perhaps our imp is less than 300.Other internal evidence:
–Bae says in 215 that he’d be a couple hundred years old if he hadn’t gone to Neverland. But again, time is weird there and probably skews the senses. (This may also excuse Hook and Tink’s scene in 311 a bit–Hook’s acting like Bae just left the ship and Tink’s acting like it’s been years and years since she lost her wings and the two don’t quite compute with all the rest of the details, but with a weird time thing, it might feel that way to both of them.)
–Gold is definitely the Dark One when Geppetto, a man of at least 60, is a boy of seven or eight. So the events surrounding Bae’s disappearance had to happen at least 60 years before the Curse…which was cast 28 years before October 22nd 2011. Add 15 years for Bae’s growth and at least 30 for how old he was when Bae was born (I’ve estimated about 35 on my timeline)…and yeah.
–200 is actually a pretty neat timeline. If you assume he’s 200 at the time Emma comes to Storybrooke instead of 300, and adjust everything before Jiminy’s birth (at which point I started counting back from the Curse rather than forward from Rumple’s birth) to match, the dates line up with external markers beautifully.But given the number of times we’ve heard that Rumple is 300, it’s hard to accept that 200 is more accurate to the timeline they’ve constructed. I dunno. What do you all think? What am I missing?

I think it’s less likely that A&E will dig into the recent prequel that Disney did, but possible. (For one thing, it wasn’t that great a movie, for another, it had its own origin story for the WWW, and lastly, being so recent and such a departure from the books, I don’t see A&E using it as a basis. But who knows.)
