Likes:

–Little Rumple hugging his father–just the way Henry hugs people.

–The parallels between Rumple and Pan and Bae all over the place

–Regina actually giving Belle some credit and at least a shout-out (cuz come on, ANOTHER episode without her? Does “regular” actually mean anything in this show?)

–Little Rumple learning to spin

–Rumple being brave (but nobody got to see it!!!)

–Something before the first ogres war on the timeline…wow. And um, a little time to catch up on that I guess.

Dislikes: No Belle, Henry not listening to THREE parents, and dangit a cliffhanger with TWO WEEKS to wait for resolution? Cruel. (They did that with the Outsider, too. Evil evil show.)

 

Oh, and theory on the box? Pan will totes tell Baelfire–hey, your papa’s in there. Have fun. Off to be immortal and stuff. Cuz he knows it’ll mess with Bae’s head. And he’ll probably spin it as Rumple being cowardly and betraying them or something, too. Looking forward to that (in a, go ahead, crush my heart, sort of way).

Maybe little Rumple tried to go back to Neverland at some point to “save” his father; Pan’s reaction to Rumple in 304 was “Look at you, all grown up and the dark one…” which suggests they hadn’t met since Rumple was a boy. It’s possible that because Rumple was the price of Pan’s power, their lives were entwined from that moment–or possibly they were entwined later by whatever Rumple tried to do to get his father back.

I guess it’s possible too that the only power great enough to kill Pan would require Rumple to sacrifice his own life, and it could be just that simple…

But yeah, I think there’s more to it. More to their backstory and more to their link.

Also, the fact that Pan is so adamant about people following the rules of his games…yet he broke the rules to live in Neverland. So what does that ultimately mean, and will it play out as an actual thing (I hope I hope)?

Names matter. They matter very much to Rumple. They have power. Does he believe this because his father taught him this with the doll, or is there more to it?

…and dangit it’s hard to spreadsheet or consistently timeline a show where every single dang character has at least two names even if s/he wasn’t cursed.

I think we can trust Wendy the second time…because Rumple can tell when she’s lying and I bet Emma could figure it out too.

The dynamic of Charming and Neal stopping Rumple from threatening Wendy’s an interesting one…and yay Regina actually mentioning Belle.

Dwarf Star. I was so happy that they addressed it in GMS. But that can’t be the end of it.

I’d also like to see them go back and at least mention Frederick & Abigail and Ella & Thomas. I’m glad they’re living happily in SB and I don’t want more drama in their lives, but they MATTER.
