–We know that Neal came to our world in 1991. On his wanted poster it said he was born in 1977, but he came here when he was 14. So he had to have come through in 1991.But are we sure that he came straight to The Land Without Magic from NL? Or that he’d portray his age honestly on whatever ID they were using to create the wanted poster? (After all, he does like bars…so it’s possible he’d fudge that a bit sometime between coming to this world and Tallahassee.)

Belle defeating the Yaoguai was probably my favorite moment. First Rumbelle hug was pretty awesome though. Anton finding new brothers made me very happy.

Wonder if mirrors work that way between worlds. We know they -can- act as portals (Wonderland + Cora), but Cora couldn’t get back easily (else she wouldn’t have tortured the poor hatter). We know that Regina and Rumple could use them for lots of purposes within FTL, and the Genie could occupy all of Regina’s mirrors.
Of course, IF Belle learns magic to enact the protection spell, she might be able to activate a mirror or something herself.
You can’t keep them apart forever. Just…most of the time, apparently.

Granny, Whale, and Leroy add so much color to the show. I’m kinda sad they’re not on the boat (not WTH-Belle’s-not-on-the-boat sad, but…). And Red is such an epic character (and like David Anders, I’d love to see Frankenwolf explored more). Belle’s gonna need her friends for support with Rumple gone and all doomsdayish, and that’s Red and Leroy pretty much. (Though Mother Superior was involved in that hug at Archie’s funeral…though that hug and Emma’s rare statements about Belle suggest that she did have some relationships beyond the ones we’ve seen.) Gah, I didn’t get to see it last night, so I’m still processing the finale today. A lot.

Belle’s got a spell to cloak SB, but the Office knows where it is now. We’ve seen protection/cloaking spells broken before–Emma’s spell in Gold’s shop, and BF’s spell over the beans for example. If the Office could figure out in a matter of hours how that diamond worked and what it did, then it may represent a very real threat to SB yet. If Henry was more important than eliminating magic, it could go on the back burner…but SB is still there and the Office does seem dedicated to eradicating magic from this world.
And that’s a fight that Belle, Grumpy, Red, and the rest could have to deal with. Neal, if he’s healed without too much trouble, will assume that Henry and Emma are in SB yet and his first instinct will be to try to get back there (but that’s not an easy task).
OMG. New wishlist.
Belle, Leroy, Neal, and Red teamup to save The Family. Whale and Granny can come along, too, of course. Save SB and then find out info that is necessary to keep The Family alive and rescue Henry.
That in sum would be my wishlist.

Oh, and on the clothes issue?
They’ve got RUMPLE with them. The man is a total fashionista. There’s no way he’ll let them go unclothed for too long. He’s dressed up half of them before anyway. He totally knows their sizes.

Rumple has suggested the following things:
1. His son has been running for a long time. (He KNOWS that his son was running from him. How?)
2. His son was still alive after 250ish years. (Why would he assume that if he didn’t know something about where his son was?)
3. His son went to a land without magic, and he needed a way to get there–hat wouldn’t work, the slippers from (presumably) Oz might have worked, beans were the most reliable method.
4. He knows LOTS of stuff, has worked tirelessly to get back to Bae, has made deals with just about everyone in the process, and has/had the ability to see some of the future. (And apparently he told Lacey about THAT ability, too, because she totally quoted his words to Henry to reassure him they’d meet again.)
5. Whoever is in charge of the home office is scarier than he is. And he’s the Dark One.So. In sum, he MUST have had ways to track Bae through the ages they were separated. He also must have had reasons not to go where Bae was. It’s implied that Bae spent a very long time in NL, accounting for his age. Obviously, he and Hook both found a way to escape fairly recently. NL is scary–Hook’s not happy about going back. And Pan apparently knew about Henry centuries before he was born.
It’s possible that Rumple didn’t go to NL because there isn’t actually magic there, but Wendy and Bae both said that there was. So there had to be something else stopping him, forcing him to wait to get the curse cast and find Bae in the Land Without Magic. Either something so scary that he was afraid, even as the DO, to face it (combined with knowledge that Bae was at least safe?), reliance on the prophecy as determining only one possible outcome–but then why trade for things like the slippers?–or something that actually prevented him from going to NL before this moment.
I guess we’ll (maybe) find out in five months.
